Mabel had seen Ethan fight more than once and knew he liked close combat, so she already prepared something to counter that as her body exploded in flames.

Ethan jumped back immediately but he still wasn’t fast enough as the flames burnt the white wraps around his hands and did a little damage to his hand.

"Ohh, I see, you really are prepared for me" Ethan spoke with a smile.

"You really think I can’t take you on, the girls have been going easy on you" Mabel spoke.

Ethan and Mabel kept their distance, each studying the other carefully. Neither seemed willing to close the gap, so they both readied their spells.

The flames around Mabel body had died off but Ethan still didn’t want to close the distance.

Mabel raised her hands, summoning a wave of flames that surged forward like a continuous fireball towards Ethan.

Instead of dodging Ethan countered by casting [Lightning Bolt] straight at her flames dispersing the fire just before it reached him and forcing Mabel to pull up a barrier.

With a quick motion, Ethan launched a [Fireball] again, aiming to keep her on the defensive.

Mabel reacted instantly as her barrier absorbed the hit.

She then retaliated with [Wind Cutter], sending sharp blades of wind slicing through the air. Ethan brought up his own barrier, the wind attacks clashing against it with force.

"Not bad," he called out, firing off a barrage of smaller Fireballs to keep her moving.

Mabel dodged, then combined her wind and fire powers, creating a swirling, fiery tornado that sped toward him, it wasn’t big enough to be called a tornado.

Ethan’s eyes narrowed as he created his Advanced Barrier in front, and as soon as it hit Ethan was sent flying some meters back.

His barrier wasn’t strong enough to withstand her spell.

Mabel saw this as an opportunity and dashed forward towards Ethan to finish things off but something caught both of her legs and soon she found herself falling towards the ground.

Mabel landed with a thud and a surprised expression on her face as she looked at her legs, dark ropes sprouted from the ground holding her legs.

She quickly turned her attention to Ethan who cast a light bolt towards Mabel.

"Ethan what are you..." Isabella called.

Mabel threw up her barrier just in time, but the impact was too much but since the dark binds were holding her down she was lifted by the shockwave and then landed on the same place.

Mabel body burst into flames again as a flame cloak covered her entire body causing the dark binds to be burnt off and Mabel stood up immediately only for her legs to be caught again by Ethan.

[Fire whip]

As soon as Mabel stood up Ethan cast a fire whip and it wrapped around Mabel’s legs and Ethan pulled it sending her back to the ground.

With a swift motion, Mabel summoned a powerful Flame Burst, sending a wide wave of fire straight at him from the ground.

Ethan had to stop the fire whip spell and created a barrier, it wasn’t that Ethan couldn’t dodge the spell but he wanted to keep testing his barrier spell.

His barrier blocked the flames completely this time and Mabel took the opportunity to stand up but Ethan was on her again this time with continuous fireball spells.

Mabel’s barrier shimmered, weakening under the repeated attacks. Sensing his chance, Ethan gathered his mana and launched a final, massive Fireball combined with Wind gust. The fireball projectile tore through her defenses, breaking her barrier completely but she got out of the way at the last second.

The rest of the girls outside were covered the damage, as Ethan fireball was stopped by Isabella and Crystal.

’I just thought of something else, I’m going to give the girls a scare, storage ring’

Ethan opened his storage ring and brought out the red crystal, but he placed it inside his pocket so the girls wouldn’t see it, since only Hannah had seen it the rest of the girls had no idea and this time Ethan charge forward completely fearless.

Mabel saw him coming towards her but she was already prepared as Ethan closed the distance, and in a second he was already in front of her but nothing was happening.

"Haha" Ethan laughed and in one swift, controlled motion, he struck the side of her neck, targeting the spot near her carotid artery.

Mabel’s eyes widened in surprise as the force took effect almost immediately. Her knees buckled, and within seconds, she slumped to the ground, unconscious.

Ethan took a deep breath, watching her carefully to ensure she was unharmed. Satisfied, he gently lowered her to the ground.

The rest of the girls were shocked as it happened, Mabel didn’t even try to cast a spell and just gave up.

"Why did she give up, I thought she was going to cast her flames again" Isabella spoke as she walked towards them with the other girls.

"Try to cast a spell" Ethan spoke.

"I should try to cast a spell...okay" Isabella stretched her hand and nothing happened, "Wait, what is going on" Isabella spoke immediately.
