’That’s not a problem but I was thinking of giving my sword to Varek, the sword would be great in his hands, with his stats he would be able to utilize the power of the sword even more’

(That’s true, but to do that you’ll need to raise your Mana stats even more, and since you won’t be using your sword anymore, you’ll focus on spells, meaning your intelligence stats would also need to be raised)

’That’s the plan, I’m fairly good at close combat but when it comes to actual spell casting, I’m beat’

’I’ll raise my strength of course but it won’t be like before, I want to focus on my spells and Mana since I have a summoning to do the close combat for me’

Ethan quickly hid as he heard a snort; slowly, he crept in the direction of the snort and saw wild boars gathered around eating; there were 5 wild boars.

’This is the chance to try one of my spells I haven’t tried’ Ethan mumbled as he stood up.

[Chain Lightning]

A bolt of lightning shot out from Ethan’s hands and hit one of the boars, but this time, it didn’t just stop as it connected to all the remaining four of the boars, striking all of them down.

[+5 Attribute point gained]

’I need to look for high leveled beasts, I wonder where I can find a dungeon in this forest’

(Even if you do, this forest is the closest one to the city, so adventurers would have explored the dungeon times and times over, you won’t find anything new)

"True, so where do I find a high-level beast, [Spatial Awareness]?" Ethan closed his eyes as he focused on his sensory spell till he could hear even tiny sounds made by insects.

A smile formed on his face as he opened his eyes.

(What did you find?)

’A village I think, a village of goblins’

(How come they haven’t been found all this while, wait... goblins reproduce like mad so even if it’s just two goblins left that can populate a new village)

’I think they’re over a hundred, and they’re hiding underground in a cave, let the hunting begin’

Ethan used his spatial awareness and found two goblin villages, but one of them was close to the goblin girl he banged when he first came to the forest and the other was underground, he wouldn’t want to kill her tribe off since he was planning on visiting so he was first going for the other tribe.

Ethan arrived at the entrance of the cave; the cave entrance was hidden and covered in thick bushes to mask it.

’I didn’t know goblin was this smart covering their cave’

(After being hunted for so long, they must have found a way to survive, but underground, how did they even build it)

’I think it’s a natural cave, they’re just inhabiting it and hiding there, and I can sense stronger goblins’

(Evolved goblins)

"Varek the Undying, I summon you," Ethan spoke as he brought out his sword; since his Mana stats weren’t upgraded yet, he would need to hold onto the sword.

"Goblins, weak creatures, am I here to fight goblins?" Varek asked.

"Even though they’re weak, at least 100 goblins are hiding in this cave, and beasts, they are no stronger beasts in this forest," Ethan spoke back.

"There’s a beast, though it’s a little farther, it’s definitely worth killing"

"Oh, sensory ability, I didn’t know you have those"

"I don’t; I just know where there’s something powerful nearby; should I take care of the goblins?" Varek asked.

"Yes, we’ll go in together and...what are you doing?" Ethan asked as Varek stepped further away from the cave till he found a spot and stood on, then he lifted his sword.

"Okay, I might have underestimated your ability"

*BOOM!*

Varek brought his sword downward with enough force to break through the ground as he fell directly into the cave with the debris of the stone killing some of the goblins.

The goblins were unorganized and weren’t prepared for an attack, so most of them opted to run, but Ethan was in front of the cave waiting as Varek moved around, slaughtering the entire tribe.

"Woah, that’s some villain-level shit Varek just did; I didn’t even though of...[Fireball]"

Ethan killed two of the goblins escaping through the cave entrance, and soon Ethan had killed ten more when he stopped hearing slashing sounds and Varek walked out of the cave with his head down as the entrance was too small.

[+140 Attribute point gained]

"20 of them were able to put up a fight, where to next?" Varek asked.

"140 attribute points, that’s the most points I’ve ever gotten all at once, and I didn’t even do much... we’ll go looking for the beast you talked about, lead the way," Ethan spoke.

"Try to keep up," Varek muttered as he dashed forward, and Ethan followed behind.

His agility was nowhere close to Varek, but still, he was able to keep up because Varek wasn’t going at full speed. They continued for a while, and after 10 minutes, they arrived at another cave far inside the forest.

As soon as they stopped, Ethan leaned heavily against a tree, struggling to catch his breath. It had been a long time since he had pushed himself this hard, and his body was clearly feeling the strain.

’Ohh, finally a good fight, time to use my attribute points’
