Loving The Dragon Lord CEO-Chapter 33
Chapter 33: Danger In The Club
“Who said anything about cold feet when he’s got his eyes set on someone else.” It was Sky who spoke next.
He had been silently observing things like Xander, but unlike Xan whose eyes roamed everywhere, his eyes were locked on his friend and wherever his eyes went.
That was when he saw how Xander looked at Jade with interest and a certain unknown emotion in his eyes.
There was no doubt or mistake. Xander was falling for her.
“What? Who took his eyes away, to make the almighty Xander forget such beauty?” Jay asked, not believing someone else could beat the girl he spotted.
“Her,” Xander replied to his friend and pulled Jay closer to himself than propped his head forward, directing his gaze to where Jade sat. “She took my...”
But rather than saying what he wanted to say, Xander paused leaving Jay and Sky confused.
.....
Immediately the smile on his face dropped and turned into a deep angry frown.
“Hey Xander, why did you turn sour all of a sudden?” Jay asked.
When Xander did not answer and the look in his eyes only darkened, he returned his gaze back to what Xander was trying to show him and his eyes landed on a peerless beauty with a guy sitting close to her.
“Ohh!”
Those were the only words that fell off of Jay’s mouth before Xander loosened his grip on him and balled his fist into a ball.

~Back With Jade~
Meanwhile, the moment Jackson left, it did not take long before another guy approached Jade.
She had only just seen Macy placing her order and pointing in her direction before leaving and was about to call her when another handsome young man came over to her with a cute dazzling smile on his face.
“Hey cutie, mind if I sit?”
Jade rolled her eyes at him based on his question.
She had just finished sending away one and was happy about it when a second one came.
She really did not have anything for them and needed her time but these small sharks just wouldn’t rest, would they.
Just as she was about to say no, she caught sight of two other guys making their way to where she was and compared to him, they weren’t looking cute so she quickly decided to use the second guy as a shield to deter the others away.
At least till Macy came back and shooed him away for her.
“Let me have a seat with you and buy you a drink.”
“Fine, sit.” Her reply was short and precise and the guy felt a certain joy in him at her agreeing to his offer.
As soon as the other guys saw that she accepted him, they paused and watched them.
Jade who was a professional at all these things could see from the corners of her eyes that they did stop and smiled in her mind.
She decided to make small talks with him to make the others back away.
And so she did. When the other guys noticed them getting along, they resigned and went to their seats but oftentimes when she peeked, she saw them staring in their direction.
Back at the bar, the bartender Macy showed where to deliver the drinks, picked the two glasses of fruit wine and passed it to the other bartender to deliver it.
Unknown to him this bartender had been compromised. Feeling as though his part was done, he went back to answering the customers and did not think much about handing it over to his colleague to deliver it.
Immediately he had his back to him, the second bartender swapped the pink colored drink with another one he had prepared and went to deliver it to Jade.
“Ma’am, your drink.” The bartender politely informed Jade and placed the drinks on the table in front of her.
Jade, who was already thirsty, thanked the bartender and picked up her own drink according to what the bartender told her and took a mouthful to quench her thirst.
Just as she was about leaving, the second guy with Jade stopped him and ordered a second drink for her.
“Get her one more, just like this one.” At the completion of his sentence he winked at him but Jade was too busy that she failed to see the eye contact interaction between both men and the bartender left.
It was at this point Xander had his eyes fixed on her back, after Jay’s interruption and watched as the bartender left to the counter to get the other drink he left behind.
Before leaving with it, he snuck a substance into it, at one corner and no one saw him as everyone was busy enjoying themselves to even notice or care about another man’s problem.
By the time he was done, he took the drink and walked towards where Jade and the other guy sat.
But before he could take the cup and hand it over to Jade, a tall figure blocked him from the side.
