Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 790: It’s Not An Illness, It’s A Miracle
"When was the last time you had a monthly cycle?" asked the doctor.
"Um... maybe it’s been two months but I did have an irregular monthly cycle unlike the others from the start. I can be over a month late. This is a normal thing," Arielle replied, trying to explain to the doctor about her body’s condition.
Arielle grew up with nutritional conditions that were not maintained. She had menstrual cycles that are often late. And when it comes, cramps in the stomach will be very painful. Usually also accompanied by nausea and weakness in the body but Arielle felt the nausea this time was very different.
Arielle didn’t feel cramps in her stomach neither.
"Do you feel a stomach cramps too right now?" asked the doctor again.
Arielle shook her head. "No. Maybe after this the cramps will come?"
"Does the nauseas usually come before the cramp?"
"Um... not really. I always had the cramps first then the nauseas follows."
"So... and these times you feel the nauseous all day long?"
Arielle shook her head, "only in the morning."
The doctor has finished diagnosing Arielle. The man just needs to tell what happened to her.
"I want to tell you that the condition you are feeling right now is not due to illness but that you are currently pregnant."
Instantly the room became silent. Very-very-very quiet. Arielle stared at the doctor in front of her confused. The woman tilted her head still not understanding what the doctor was saying.
William gasped. The man covered his mouth in disbelief.
RON-!"
"William!" cut Arielle before William called out Ronan’s name, which he shouldn’t have said carelessly on this ship.
Arielle panted trying to follow what the doctor just said. She shook her head forbidding William to tell Ronan first. the woman waved her hand asking William to come closer.
"Arielle, I’m so nervous right now. And ... Happy! I’m really happy for you and Ronan!" William said in a lower voice.
The man held Arielle’s hand full of emotion. William still couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He couldn’t believe that Arielle and Ronan would have a successor!
William was very aware of Arielle and Ronan’s deal at the start. They both agreed not to have children at the start of their marriage. The two agreed not wanting to pass on the curse that Ronan had on their offspring. They don’t want their children to suffer like Ronan’s dark past.
William himself didn’t know since when they started canceling the deal like that. But whenever that happened, William didn’t care. What he was happy about was that the north would have a new successor to the throne!
But the happiness felt by William was not also felt by Arielle. Instead of feeling happy, Arielle became worried.
"Doctor... William.. can this news be saved? I hope you don’t talk about this to anyone and keep my pregnancy a secret until I decide that I will announce it myself," said Arielle.
"Huh? But why? This is a happy news that the whole world should know, Arielle! Why hide it?"
"William, do you remember where we are going? I don’t want my condition to hinder what we are going to do. You know very well how your friend’s character is, right?" asked Arielle while giving a brief eye glance towards the door making Willam fall to his knees.
"But ..."
"I don’t want Ronan to cancel everything because of this news. We have reached the end of a stalemate and this opportunity will open a new door that can lead us to understand what happened to Northendell. And maybe this is the only chance for us to break the curse."
"Arielle," William said, disappointed.
Arielle knew well the character of her husband. The second Ronan heard that Arielle was pregnant, the man would without a doubt send Arielle back to the north and would never allow her to leave the palace again.
The way out is in sight. Arielle couldn’t let go of this opportunity. This is the most urgent thing Northendell needs.
Arielle tried to convince William one more time not to say anything for now. She still didn’t want to return to Northendell empty-handed. They have sailed so far. The borders of Northendell and Thebis had long since been passed.
"Okay, this time I will hear you. But if you put yourself in a dangerous position. I will not hesitate to bring you back to Northendell myself, Arielle. And Ronan will know about this."
Arielle nodded gratefully for William’s understanding.
William just realized something. The man gasped when he realized it. "Arielle! You almost put your life and your baby’s life in danger yesterday!"
"I know! I sure acted recklessly yesterday! This time I will promise that I will take better care of myself."
William just kept quiet waiting for Arielle to say something again. All Arielle could say was "sorry". And what happened yesterday actually made Arielle even less willing to tell Ronan first.
"I’ll tell Ronan when the Thebis business clears up."
William took a deep breath then agreed to the woman’s request. He took Areille’s hand again and stood up. He also asked the doctor who was treating Arielle to cover her mouth and this news should not be heard by Prince Thebis. The news of Arielle’s pregnancy should only be kept by the three of them.
"If any Thebis find this news, I know who I will visit," William said threateningly to the doctor.
The man adjusted his glasses and nodded. "I understand, sir. I will keep this news within myself."
The doctor then reminded Arielle of several things related to Arielle’s first pregnancy. She will prepare some balanced nutrition to take care of Arielle’s condition as well as her future baby.
"The nausea you feel is a normal reaction. What I can do right now is just provide vitamins as well as nutrition for you. I hope you keep eating to maintain your health. because the health of the baby depends on the health of the mother."
Arielle touched her belly silently. She still couldn’t believe what she was hearing. The woman only heard and nodded, affirming whatever the doctor had forbidden Arielle to do.
"Doctor! Please explain to the .. men ahead that I’m just not feeling well,’ Arielle asked once again.
"Of course. I will," replied the doctor.
