Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 738: The Crazy Morning
Aimee let out a deep sigh under her breath.
"Those guys... really, I don’t understand what’s going through their minds. They easily rely on the maids for everything. Get drunk to their heart’s content, then sleep until noon. I can’t believe they are the important figures of this kingdom. I think all this time the king has been doing everything alone."
Arielle just laughed. She didn’t choose wrongly. Dragging Ronan back to their room last night was the right choice. If not, surely her husband would also get hit by the sparks of Aimee’s anger.
"Aimee, what do you think about this soup? I made pumpkin soup for Irene and the rest of us," said Arielle, who took a spoonful of pumpkin soup that was starting to be done along with beef ribs soup for the drunken men.
Aimee received the spoon that Arielle gave her, and finally the woman smiled for the first time since they set foot on the first floor.
"Ah, can you help me set this food on the table? I will see Irene as well as my husband in a bit."
"Of course, Your Majesty. Thank you for preparing the food for us," said Aimee with a wide smile that reached her ears.
Arielle smiled and left the kitchen. The living room that used to look very messy now looked neat as ever. The tablecloth that was on the table was missing. Perhaps it had been thrown away by Aimee because there were lots of spills on it.
Near the door, Arielle could see a collection of empty bottles, some of which were broken and even shattered to pieces.
At least she could no longer smell of alcohol in the room. With this condition, Irene could also enjoy breakfast together at the dining table without being disturbed by the unpleasant smell.
Arielle visited Irene’s room, and it coincided with the young girl who also just woke up.
"Good morning, Irene," said Arielle cheerfully.
"Arielle, I think I heard a lot of voices just now. I want to go downstairs to check it out, but the noises have died down now."
Arielle helped Irene into the bathroom. She checked Irene’s bed, which was spotlessly clean.
"Oh, there was a bit of commotion between Aimee and the men downstairs, but it was already over. After you clean your body, we can have breakfast together. Aimee is preparing breakfast for us," replied Arielle, explaining the situation that had just happened downstairs.
Arielle taught Irene how to clean her body when she was on her period. Irene was no longer panicked like last night. The pain in her stomach was also gone, although she still felt very weak. Arielle said that was a natural thing because Irene’s body was bleeding right now. Thus, she advised the young girl to eat more to keep her body healthy and strong.
"You can come down first after this. Aimee is already waiting downstairs," Arielle said while leaving the dirty clothes in the basket so the maids could take them later when they arrived.
Arielle returned to her room and checked on Ronan who was still sleeping soundly. She sat beside him and then lay down her body so she could see her husband’s face more clearly. The man’s raven-black hair, which was always neatly combed to the back, hung loosely in front of his forehead. Arielle put her finger on the ends of the hair and played with it, twirling it slightly.
She stroked her husband’s cheek before her index finger moved to touch every part of the man’s wound. Ronan let out a silent breath and slowly opened his eyes as his eyelashes quivered a bit. Seeing his wife, which became the first sight he saw after waking up, made him beam with a bright smile. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Even though his head felt dizzy and even pounding every second as if it was about to explode, it couldn’t shatter his good mood to become gloomy.
"A beautiful sight in the morning," Ronan said in a husky voice, typical of people waking up.
Arielle turned around and saw a brighter sky this time. The atmosphere was still a bit gloomy without sunlight, but seeing the sea through the bedroom’s window immediately made her nod her head.
"Hm-hm, what a beautiful sight," answered Arielle who agreed with her husband’s previous statement.
Ronan stretched out his hand, hugged Arielle, and inhaled the girl’s scent.
"My head hurts so bad..." he whined like a child.
"Of course, you drank so much until you got drunk. I’ve never seen you drunk like that. What made you lose control?" asked Arielle while massaging Ronan’s temples, which were nudged into her arms.
"Lazarus. He kept on giving me drinks."
"You can’t refuse?"
"A man’s pride is at stake, Sweetheart. William also provoked me, so I accepted his second challenge on the condition that Kael also joined me. I thought since today we didn’t have a schedule, I could drink more. And after that, I couldn’t think straight anymore and kept on drinking. I didn’t do anything stupid or say anything that could hurt you, did I?" Ronan asked as the corner of his lips twitched slightly, holding back a smile.
Arielle bit her lips and laughed awkwardly. "No, there isn’t any. After I called you to come up, you slept very soundly."
Ronan looked up to look Arielle straight in the eye. In just one second, their eyes met, Arielle immediately averted her eyes and pretended to cough. She quickly got up.
"Do not worry. Nothing happened, and you didn’t say anything strange. Now, let’s get down to having breakfast first. I’ve prepared rib soup to wash away your hangover."
Arielle tied up her short hair and walked towards the door. Ronan still remained in the bed and sized up his wife’s every move as she walked quickly towards the door.
Before the girl reached for the doorknob, Ronan called out to her.
"Arielle?"
"Yeah?" replied Arielle who then turned around and gave Ronan a genuine smile, hoping the man wouldn’t bring up anything about what happened before. She had a feeling that Ronan had forgotten their conversation last night.
"Are you sure I didn’t do anything?" Ronan asked, still holding back a smile from blooming on his lips.
