Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 524: The Last Step Of Training
The man said that from the start, he was attracted in a strange way to Arielle.
Even though back then Arielle’s status was a royal prisoner, Northendell really treated her well. It was even much better than Arielle had ever expected. She was given a comfortable bed, respected like a real princess, warm food, and decent clothes.
Arielle gained many meaningful experiences during her stay in the North. Its friendly and warm people were an attraction to the North. Ronan said because the North was a cold kingdom, the residents would always be friendly and warm to each other. After all, that was one of the ways to warm them through the extreme cold of Northendell.
Arthur listened carefully to Arielle’s stories about his son. For him, the girl’s long story made him realize how Ronan had grown up to become a king today. He had no idea that the incident on that night gave Ronan a really deep wound.
"Ah, that’s why Ronan always wore a mask?" Arthur asked.
Arielle nodded. "Yes. So far, he still wasn’t really able to take it off. The wound that his mother gave stuck much deeper than his physical wounds from fighting a dragon."
"If you have time to chat, why pretend to be sick in the first place?" Maxieno asked irritably.
The man entered the hall and sat on his throne. The dragons that were already in the hall then stood up to salute at Maxieno’s presence. After that, they continued talking with their friends. Arielle stood up, then bowed respectfully to Maxieno who was staring at her intently.
"What are you two talking about?" Maxieno asked.
"There isn’t any. I was just trying to tell Arthur about Ronan," Arielle replied, making Maxieno frown.
"Ugh, that name. Hey, Arielle!" called Maxieno.
"Yes?"
"I already knew your promise to Abigail that you will bring Xavier’s head. After all of the business with the werewolf clan is over, bring Xavier’s head to Abigail right away."
"Yes, Lord Maxieno. I understand," Arielle replied.
"Then get out of here. Go back to your room because I don’t want you to excuse yourself from being sick tomorrow and avoid the training again. Tomorrow, even if you vomit blood, I will still drag you to practice, understand?"
Arielle took a deep breath and maintained her smile. "Yes, Lord Maxieno. I understand."
"Shoo hoo!"
Arielle glanced at Arthur and nodded, telling the man to remain calm. A little insult from Maxieno didn’t make her down. She was used to it now, and it would not affect her anymore.

The next day, Arielle was given a basket of lunch by Otis. She came out of the castle with a refreshed face and felt her energy had been collected perfectly. After giving Arthur’s breakfast and washing his plate, Arielle waited for Maxieno in front of the castle.
Maxieno arrived shortly after Arielle waited while sitting.
"Oh, you’re faster than usual."
"Yes. Because I slept well yesterday, I woke up earlier than usual. Shall we go back to training at the lake?" Arielle asked.
Maxieno shook his head. "There is a place you need to visit. Follow me."
Maxieno turned into a dragon again and was ready to pierce the sky to fly to Arielle’s new training ground. Arielle immediately stood up to run after Maxieno, but her human footsteps couldn’t catch up to the dragon.
"Your Majesty Lord Maxieno! May I try to ride on your back?" Arielle shouted as she continued to run after Maxieno as fast as possible.
Maxieno performed a reversal maneuver over the sky and descended in front of the girl.
"Hah. You human... What a hassle. Don’t be full of yourself just because I let you ride on my back. I give you permission because you were sick yesterday. So don’t get used to living comfortably. Tomorrow you have to run so that you will get stronger physically," said Maxieno, then lowered his wings.
Arielle suppressed her smile so as not to look like she was playing a prank on the dragon. She lowered her head, then thanked Maxieno for his kindness. Arielle held the basket filled with her food so it didn’t fall. Maxieno performed light maneuvers again and then flew in stable condition.
"Whoaaaa...."
Arielle covered her mouth in awe at the incredible sight. The entire Birwick Mountain was almost covered in shady trees. The dazzling morning sun made Arielle narrow her eyes. She could see several dragons playing on the mountain. Besides, from above, she could also see the residents of the other dragons.
It was a former village inhabited by humans hundreds of years ago, but after Amadea locked down the existence of the Brwick Kingdom, no humans could enter Birwick Mountain anymore. Thus, the dragons use the abandoned houses as their homes.
Seeing them at this height, they looked like ordinary people with some kind of exotic skin tone. From where Arielle was flying, she also could see the violet dragon that arrived at the castle and then disappeared, which meant the dragon had turned into a human.
Maxieno continued to carry Arielle towards the west and dropped her in a thick and dark forest. Arielle’s ears heard clearly the sound of rushing water.
Was it a river? Maxieno walked first through the small path that was already paved there. Arielle noticed several shapes of stone inscriptions. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"Where are we now?" Arielle asked. She could not read the writing on the pile of stones because it was covered by moss.
"This used to be the dragon clan’s lair. But, after Birwick Mountain began to be abandoned by humans and the dragon clan managed to expel the werewolf clan, we moved and occupied Birwick Castle. So, this place has been abandoned."
"I will practice here?" Arielle asked again.
"Yes, you’ve been able to emit your mana without concentrating for a long time. You’ve also given off quite a large amount of flames. You can also protect yourself by using flames as your shield. Now I’ll show you the last step you need to do."
"Have we reached the final stage?"
"Oh, of course not. You have not been able to withstand the heat of my flames. You must be able to withstand my flames first until you reach the last stage. I’ll just show it to you first."
Arielle and Maxieno arrived at a fairly large waterfall. Maxieno entered the waterfall. Arielle saw the height of the waterfall and a hand came out of the water to invite her in. Maxieno called her to come with him.
Arielle emitted the flames all over her body and crossed the waterfall, and she arrived at a dark passageway of the cave without getting wet at all. The light on her body was extinguished because Maxieno had lit all the worn out torches stuck to the wall.
Arielle followed Maxieno without asking much until they finally arrived at a very large place. The trees here were taller than the forest outside. Some birds chirped with the sun shining through the thick leaves.
"This is the true dragon clan’s lair," Maxieno said.
Arielle couldn’t imagine how grand this place was before it was abandoned. Several wooden houses were made around and almost all of them had collapsed without a trace. The woods were rotten and overgrown with moss. Only the remaining piles of stone inscriptions that also began to be eroded by the rain.
