Chapter 514: Arielle Facing Maxieno

Arielle tried to calm Arthur to stop crying. She didn’t know what Maxieno had done to make it difficult for the man to calm himself down. After trying to open her line of communication with Ronan earlier, Arielle also became afraid. She couldn’t imagine the horror that Maxieno had done to Arthur.

Arthur was still crying, and Arielle immediately pulled her hand away from the man. There was something she had to do right now.

First, Arielle had to talk to Maxieno. She also made a note not to challenge the dragon after the incident where Maxieno almost burned all of her hair.

After that, Arielle would continue her search for the red snowdrop flower. Otis said he knew the location of that flower. The flower was most likely protected by the werewolf clan, and after Arielle listened to Arthur’s lengthy explanation earlier, she was increasingly convinced that the werewolf clan had the key to releasing Amadea’s curse on King Theodore’s descendants.

After that, Arielle would prepare to get back the heart of Amadea to be brought back to Birwick Mountain.

Everything sounded simple, but she knew that she had to sacrifice a lot for all of that.

Arielle never lived in this castle, so she had a hard time finding Maxieno. Luffy said that the dragon clan usually liked to party in the hall, but for some reason that night seemed really quiet. Arielle checked the rooms in the castle one by one, starting from the lowest floor until she continued up to the top floor.

Arielle blinked a few times when she saw the wooden door, which looked very clean and shiny. In the ruins of the castle that were very poorly maintained, the top floor of the castle looked like a palace that was always kept clean.

Arielle touched the white wall and found no dust on it.

She tried to muster all her courage to knock on the door.

"I don’t like having humans in my room," said someone from inside the room. His voice seemed to echo out.

"I wish to speak something important with you, O Your Majesty Lord Maxieno."

Maxieno’s laughter boomed and made Arielle’s ears hurt a little. "Ohoho, flattery won’t get you anywhere, human. I already know what’s in your head. What you want and what you will ask of me. I will not give a single egg to a human like you."

"Maxieno..." called Arielle.

"No-no, you should call me like before. Call me Your Majesty Lord Maxieno!"

Arielle was shocked to hear that but considering that dragons were creatures full of dignity, she tried to give in so that Maxieno could give her a chance to speak at least.

"Yes, Your Majesty The Great Lord Maxieno," replied Arielle, making Maxieno’s laughter echo very loudly again.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! I like that one. Keep it up! Since you have made my mood better, then I will listen to you, even though I have no intention of helping you!" Maxieno said.

BAM!

The two large doors made of mahogany were wide open, with a very strong wind blowing. Arielle blinked her eyes in disbelief at what she had seen.

It was Maxieno’s room. The room was surrounded by a wide variety of plants and lots of glowing tulips that didn’t need any lights. Colorful flowers fill the top of the room, hanging and extending the vines full of fresh color beautifully. Arielle was really impressed because she had never seen a place as beautiful as this.

This room was also very spacious. Even in the middle of the room, there was a small fountain with a statue in the shape of a water lily.

"Are you amazed?" Maxieno asked, leaning back on the white chair next to the glass wall where he could see the lake and the beautiful large moon.

"Don’t be full of yourself. I still hate you, but because you have made my heart lighter, I give you the honor of visiting this secret room."

"Thank you, Great Lord Maxieno," Arielle replied as she bowed her body, making Maxieno burst out laughing again.

"I think you’re a better human than your husband. You’re just like Otis. Both of you really look alike. Maybe if you aren’t the wife of that bastard, I will have accepted you with open arms to be my servant, replacing Otis when he died. The man is really old. I can no longer tell him to do this and that. His moves have been so slow that I piss off every time I see him."

Arielle held the chair opposite Maxieno to sit down, but the man quickly held the chair from moving.

"What do you think?" Maxieno asked with a frown.

"I’m sorry if my actions displeased you. I thought it would be best if we sat down to talk."

Maxien snorted. "Know your place, human. You sit down on the floor like Otis!" he pointed at a pillow under him.

Arielle clenched her jaw in annoyance. However, given that she brought an important plan and future continuity, she chose to give in. Arielle apologized again and then sat down with her knees folded in front of Maxieno who was sitting on a chair.

Even though there were two chairs and a table there, Maxieno treated her like a dog. Arielle couldn’t imagine what Otis had been through all his life. Did the old man have no problem at all being treated like this all the time?

Ah, being treated like this made Arielle remember her siblings who always put her at the bottom and felt they were the highest. Arielle just smiled. This little thing shouldn’t bother her. She had often gone through worse treatment than this, so Arielle had to be stronger.

"Your Majesty The Great Lord Maximeno. I’m sorry for my previous impudence," said Arielle who apologized.

Arielle tried to feed Maxieno’s ego as much as possible. The dragon would feel that by placing a human under him, he was on the highest throne. Even Ronan who as a king had never done anything like this.

Her husband would listen to the complaints of his people with great attention.
