Chapter 511: King Arthur

Maxieno clicked his tongue and kicked Arthur’s filthy hand to get off his cloak that dangled on the dusty, dirty floor.

Curse? Daughter?

"Your Majesty! Please answer my question first!" Arielle asked louder while holding the man’s wrinkled, trembling hand. Arthur snapped Arielle’s hand until the girl almost fell backwards. Luckily, there were Luffy and Otis who immediately grabbed Arielle’s shoulders so she didn’t fall.

"I don’t care about you at all. I just need you to answer my question. Did you barge into the dragon clan’s territory on the orders of the werewolf clan and intentionally attack the dragon clan member?" Maxieno asked while standing tall in front of Arthur. He tried to intimidate the man.

Arielle gripped the iron bars, feeling helpless to see the Majestic King of Northendell kneeling on the dirty ground.

"Your Majesty! Please raise your head!" asked Arielle, which Arthur didn’t hear at all.

Arthur didn’t answer the dragon’s question because he knew that the answer he was about to give would obviously cause chaos between the two clans who had been competing with each other for hundreds of years. However, he also couldn’t stay here for long. He must return soon. At least to save his daughter from the wrath of the werewolf clan.

Maxieno opened the door of the bars and asked two of his members to hold Arthur’s hands so he could freely interrogate the man. Otis closed Arielle’s eyes and dragged the girl out of there. Maxieno had a pretty brutal way of interrogating.

Otis didn’t want to traumatize Arielle even though Maxieno wouldn’t attack him physically. As a being who had the ability to read minds, he would manipulate the contents of Arthur’s head and give the man an infinite nightmare.

"Otis! I have to talk to him first! I want to know what happened! Ronan should know that—mmpphh!"

Arielle’s mouth was covered by Otis’s hand. He continued to carry the girl away from the hall. The dragons’ laughter still echoed in the air, which was followed by Arthur’s shriek of pain.

"Arielle! This is not a conflict you can interfere with!" said Otis, trying to remind Arielle of her purpose in being here.

"While you are in this castle, please don’t lower the barrier on your head. I’m worried if Maxieno accidentally sneaks in without you noticing. And also!" Otis removed his hand from Arielle’s mouth while apologizing for his rude behavior. "Also... don’t look for him anymore if you don’t want to get hurt like before."

Wound? Arielle spread her fingers, which no longer hurt. The indescribable pain she felt had completely disappeared. Arielle remembered well that the skin on her fingertips almost peeled off when she let out a large amount of flames. Then, she also raised her arm where she was badly hurt by the wolf bite earlier.

"Now, focus on your goal. You must be able to master your power first, so that we can immediately look for the presence of the red snowdrop flower to break the curse of Amadea’s anger. After that, we can immediately get Amadea’s heart and return it to Birwick Mountain to restore the warmth in the North. Do you understand?" Otis asked.

Arielle turned to the side after hearing Arthur’s scream again. "But?"

"Arielle? Ronan has been waiting for you. Don’t delay this anymore," Otis replied, making Arielle fall silent. The girl then lowered her head slowly to obey her teacher’s request.

"Tonight, rest here first," said Otis, who told Arielle to return to the room where she was treated earlier. "Remember my message earlier, don’t break your barrier and don’t interfere in this conflict."

Arielle nodded weakly, then left Otis alone.

"Otis!" called Arielle who turned around again.

"Yes?"

"Abigail? What about Abigail? Is she okay? I’m really worried about her because she had turned into a dragon? What about the eggs? Are they safe?"

"You don’t have to worry about that. Abigail is fine. She’s holding out, and it doesn’t seem it’s Abigail’s time to lay the eggs yet, so you don’t have to worry. After you’re fully recovered, I’ll allow you to go back to see Abigail."

"But, Abigail is in a safe place now, right?"

"Of course. I’ll see her after this," Otis replied, and it made Arielle breathe a sigh of relief.

Arielle returned to her room with mixed feelings. She still didn’t expect to see King Arthur here. Then, how could her very severe wounds heal completely without a trace like this? The more Arielle thought about this, the more questions that couldn’t be answered.

Birwick Mountain was full of mysteries. That was all Arielle could mutter. She wanted to call Ronan, but Otis strongly forbade her, considering that Maxieno was nearby now. Her heart was beating very fast.

How would Ronan react when he found out that his father was still alive? Then, whose daughter was King Arthur referring to? Did the man survive and marry another woman?

However, Otis said there was no other human besides her except for the two humans who were raised by the werewolf clan. Did King Arthur count as a human? Were his daughter and new wife the humans that Otis was referring to?

Thinking of all that made Arielle’s head almost burst. She decided to rest while admiring every side of her skin that was completely healed. When the night fell, Arielle saw several dragons flying in the sky just as the moon was rising very high.

From her window, Arielle recalled the sensation of flying when she was on the dragon’s back.

Otis arrived with dinner for Arielle. He glanced at the girl’s wound, which was completely gone. The man took the time to explain to Arielle about the elixir given by a member of the unicorn clan for Arielle healing all her wounds.

"Unicorn? Did they come here?" Arielle asked with sparkling eyes.

However, she was very sad when Otis said that the man who brought the elixir only visited briefly and then disappeared back into the forest. After Otis brought Arielle’s dinner and made sure that the girl was completely healed, he bid his goodbye to have a rest. Otis also did not forget to tell Arielle to rest because tomorrow the girl would return to her hut.
