Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 304: Ronan and Baby Crimson
Crimson babbled incoherent sounds again, distracting Ronan and Arielle. Ronan seemed hesitant to touch Crimson even though a part of him felt a new feeling that he didn’t want to admit. Arielle, who saw his doubt, grabbed the man’s hand that was on the side of Crimson’s body.
"Don’t be afraid to hold her," said the girl.
Ronan was always trying to remind himself that he didn’t want a baby. The urge within him to hold onto Crimson was only due to his longing for his sister. That was it. Holding Crimson didn’t mean the trauma in the past was erased at once.
The trauma was still there. It was just that maybe because Arielle was by his side, Ronan felt a little more relaxed. Ronan was always looking for excuses and always burying his own feelings.
"Arielle, do you often handle a baby?" the man asked.
"Not often but I have handled one or two. Back when I was still friends with the maids at Nieverdell, I took care of a baby from a maid who couldn’t leave her job. I helped them make milk, cleaned their clothes, and also played with them. I also once helped bathe a baby with Tania."
"This is the first time for me to hold a baby in a dozen years. Crimson fingers remind me of my first meeting with Irene."
Arielle remembered Irene’s name. It was the name of Ronan’s younger sister who was the victim of his father who lost control on a full moon night. They had talked several times about the man’s past trauma which made him not want to have children because he didn’t want to pass down the curse of the monster within his body.
"Irene and I were fourteen years apart. Mother and father were very happy when they found out that Irene was born with my mother’s blue eyes, which means Irene wouldn’t inherit a monster like me. Even Irene hasn’t gotten her first blessing yet."
"No matter what happens, we cannot change the past. It’s best if we see what is there now."
Arielle didn’t want Ronan to be sad because he remembered his dark past. The first time she was with him, she knew that one of the reasons he had trouble sleeping was because he was always haunted by his past through nightmares.
Ronan closed his eyes, starting to feel drowsiness as Arielle kept rubbing his head. It was not that late, but he felt very sleepy. Was this the result of his lack of sleep all this time?
"Arielle," Ronan called in a hoarse voice. His eyes had closed, showing that the man was at the edge of consciousness and would soon fall asleep.
"Yes?"
"I want to hug you," he continued in a weak voice.
"There’s Crimson here," Arielle answered quietly, not wanting to ruin their silence.
"Then... sing me... a lullaby."
"Okay."
Arielle began to sing softly. Hearing her lullaby, both Ronan and Crimson began to be lulled into dreamland. Arielle smiled as she saw Crimson’s small fingers gripping Ronan’s index finger tightly. The two of them fell asleep with their faces facing each other.
As time went on, Arielle softened her voice until the song finished. She grabbed the folded blanket underneath and draped it on the two of them.
"Have sweet dreams," Arielle said in a whisper. She gave Ronan a quick kiss on the forehead and gently patted Crimson’s body then closed her eyes too.

Arielle squirmed in her sleep. She felt someone hug her so tightly. Then, she remembered that she had fallen asleep next to baby Crimson. There was no way the baby could hug her this tightly.
"Hm..."
Arielle liked the warmth this body gave her, but she had to get up and searched for Crimson. Slowly, her eyes blinked to adjust to the dim light of the room. In front of her was Ronan who was sleeping soundly, clinging to her like a koala. The girl furrowed her brows in confusion. Since when did Crimson turn into a man? Arielle thought to herself.
Arielle wanted to get up, but Ronan’s hands locked her in a tight hug. She could still feel his steady breath on her neck. Arielle raised the man’s hand with difficulty, but her efforts were only in vain because even though he was sleeping soundly, he had no intention of letting Arielle go.
"Arielle... don’t move too much. It’s dangerous," he said, still with his eyes closed.
Ronan turned Arielle’s body, and Arielle could feel something hard and hot touch the back of her body.
"Please let me go for a moment," she asked, gently tapping Ronan’s hand to let her go.
"It’s not morning yet," he replied.
(It is) she answered mentally.
Seeing Ronan didn’t want to let her go, Arielle gave up and let him hug her from behind. Maybe this man was just too tired. Come to think of it, she could let Ronan have a chance to sleep more, right?
Arielle turned her body to face Ronan, then stretched out her arm to be used as a pillow for his head. A smile was etched on her lips looking at Crimson who was on the other side of the bed. The baby took up almost half of the space, leaving Arielle and Ronan to struggle on the other side.
Suddenly, while Arielle was still admiring Crimson’s calm sleeping face, she felt a rough hand caressing her thigh. It trailed off and slipped inside the tunic she was wearing.
"Ronan, please go to sleep," said Arielle who felt Ronan still needed more rest.
"I am sleeping," he replied a little shamelessly.
His touch rose and pulled Arielle’s legs to rest on top of his waist, then Ronan hooked their legs together. She couldn’t brush off the weird feeling about his excessive touch. Apart from roaming his hands, he also began to tug at the front of her tunic, revealing the top of Arielle’s collarbone.
Ronan did not waste the opportunity, he excitedly flipped their position so Arielle was on the bottom and he was on the top.
"Ronan, what are you doing?"
"Arielle, I need your help. Put something down there to sleep," he replied, lowering his body so that Arielle could feel what he had been holding back since earlier.
