Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 261: Alexis And Archie
Lazarus told Arielle to run behind him and Johan, who was behind them. They went back up the stairs and turned towards the west wing. He stopped so suddenly that Arielle accidentally bumped into Lazarus’ back.
"What is it?" asked Arielle curiously.
"Too quiet without a guard."
Lazarus walked slowly to approach the door of the hall. On the floor, there was blood splattered and Arielle could see one of the soldiers with the Northendell crest missing his arm and a large open wound on his neck.
Arielle held Lazarus’ hand tightly in fear. The three entered slowly, and when Arielle looked up, she could see Ronan’s back. In his right hand, he held a sword that was larger in size than most swords Arielle had ever seen.
In his left hand, he grabbed Aron’s hair which was hanging helplessly on the floor.
Arielle averted her gaze.
(Is Aron dead?) Arielle asked in her heart.
Ronan turned his head for a moment and saw that Lazarus, Arielle, and Johan had just entered the hall.
"What are you doing here?" he asked in a cold tone. Arielle barely recognized the man. His blank and sharp gaze scared Arielle.
"Sasha," answered Lazarus curtly.
Johan swallowed nervously. Lazarus just remained expressionless. There was a feeling of pity that crossed Lazarus’ mind when he knew what fate would befall the hundreds of soldiers in the hall.
They would just die in vain in a resistance that only brought themselves misery. If Lazarus were among all of them, he would have chosen to sneak away.
Ronan was currently untouchable. The man was going crazy, and the sight was not good for Arielle. So, Lazarus slowly pushed Arielle back. However, before the three of them managed to get out, the hall door had been closed from the outside, trapping the four of them against hundreds of people at once.
Ronan settled back into the front. He threw Aron’s body onto the floor, and without hesitation, Ronan stabbed his sword right at Aron’s heart which had stopped beating for a long time.
Likewise, Arielle could now clearly see that her father had changed into full armour. In both his hands, King Hugo held a sword and shield. The crown was still neatly attached to his head.
The girl covered her mouth, surprised to see Sasha. One of her father’s legs rested on top of Sasha’s unconscious face. Johan immediately grabbed Arielle’s shoulders, who almost fell.
"Sasha..."

Alexis was fighting fake Ronan. He could hear several explosions behind him. With his left foot firmly planted on the ground, Alexis twisted and kicked Ronan to the ground. Without waiting any longer, Alexis kicked the man’s sword away.
His breath started to hitch. He drew the tip of his sword in front of Ronan. Kael, who was fighting five people at once, saw Lucas fall to the ground. The man immediately swung his sword, and in one slash, the five people fell to the ground.
He ran fast before Alexis raised his sword at Lucas.
Alexis took off the gold mask with the tip of his sword, making his sword almost scratch Lucas’s face.
"Surprise," Lucas said as he greeted Alexis with surprise.
Kael immediately stood in front of Lucas, stopping Alexis from swinging his sword.
"Where’s Ronan? WHERE IS THAT FUCKING MAN!?" Alexis shouted while swinging his sword. Alexis was getting angrier and angrier, making his movements even more erratic. Kael easily parried the man’s every move.
Slowly, Alexis’ attacks weakened, and conditions began to reverse. Kael’s defensive attitude was still impenetrable to Alexis. Kael didn’t want to waste time serving one person when his other soldiers still had to fight many people at once.
Without mercy, Kael quickly changed his defensive stance to attack, and one slash cut at Alexis’ wrist that was holding the sword. Alexis was shocked to death when he saw his hand that had fallen to the ground and was still holding his sword.
As his king ordered him to be merciless, Kael slashed at the back of Alexis, who was crouching down to take his hand and with one slash, the man fell to the ground.
The sound of clashing swords was still heard, but slowly his eyes began to close. A thousand men... the thousand soldiers he led were easily defeated by the two hundred men when he had a greater chance of victory.
Alexis still had a bit of power. The slash on his back did not reach his organs. It was just that he couldn’t get up because of his shame and anger.
What made him different from Archie? He was the crown prince, and now his body could only be trampled on. Alexis closed his eyes, hoping for a quick death so he could be free from all this.
Alexis did it for some time. Feeling that he had fainted for a while, he looked at the scattered corpses of his soldiers. He could still hear the human voice in the middle of the palace.
Palace? It seemed the massacre in the palace was still continuing. With his whole body in pain, Alexis walked into the forest. Both of his legs were strained, making every step he took felt painful.
He heard the sound of the river. His eyes narrowed to see a man standing leaning against the crumbling wall.
The river channel had been blown up.
"Archie...?" called Alexis weakly.
Archie walked over and grabbed Alexis by the collar. The man swung Alexis’ limp body towards the river, and Alexis couldn’t help but smile.
"What sets you apart from me, Archie? If that’s how it all ends?"
"Nothing, we are the same, Alexis. Both of us want the throne by selling our family. You sold Arielle and I sold you guys. Fair isn’t it?"
"Hah... family..." Alexis looked up at the starry sky. He could see thick smoke coming from the palace.
He could see the end of his life. If Archie let go of his collar, he would drown in the river.
