Chapter 208: Chapter 208: Take Your Time to Coax!

Don’t let Di Mingjue’s business persona fool you, his physical prowess, wow, is by no means weak.

But of course, Di Mingchen was allowing himself to be overpowered.

After a good beating, the Third Grandpa Di finally felt a bit relieved and graciously decided to spare Di Mingchen.

Di Mingchen felt so wronged. Where did the idea of just jumping into a fight without saying a word come from?!

Could it be that the Third picked him as the outlet for his pent-up frustrations? Damn it! 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Di Mingchen gasped for breath, covering his face. "No more, no more! We had an agreement – no hitting in the face!"

Damn, the Third was really serious. Those blows, they really packed a punch!

Di Mingjue tossed him a bottle of water, his face still as emotionless and cold as ever. "You can leave now."

Di Mingchen: "..."

Darn it, Di Mingchen felt so mad he could spit blood. Why was he so stupid, willingly serving as a punching bag?

Oh well, considering his frustrated mood, he decided not to take offense.

Di Mingchen was about to dust off his butt and leave, but seeing Di Mingjue sitting on the ground looking distressed made him pause.

Unable to resist poking at him, he asked, "What’s going on?"

"Gu Qibao is having a tantrum with me." Di Mingjue frankly admitted. "Earlier in the backyard, I was holding Di Xiaxia."

Di Mingchen stared at him aghast, then looked at him out of the corner of his eye, "You’re so good, why don’t you just ascend to heaven? You deserve it! Gu Qibao not divorcing you is already being gracious!"

Divorce? Di Mingjue frowned deeply.

"But she won’t listen to my explanation." He sounded utterly helpless when talking about it.

Di Mingchen rolled his eyes at him, "You two were rolling around hugging and there’s still need for explanation! You’ll just have to coax her slowly!"

Having wrapped in a blanket and fallen into a blurred sleep, Gu Qibao had a nightmare in which Di Xiaxia took Di Mingjue away from her.

In the dream, Di Mingjue even laughed coldly at her, saying, "I’ve always liked Xiaoxiao. What do you count for?"

She woke up from the dream to find herself drenched in sweat and her face wet with tears.

This dream gave her a lingering fear. Her mood was so depressed that she felt very sad.

"Damn Di Mingjue!" she lifted the quilt and cursed, "What do you count for!"

Just as she finished cursing, she saw the handsome features of the man right in front of her. Gu Qibao was stunned. Had he been here all along?

Di Mingjue furrowed his brows slightly at her, asking, "What’s wrong?"

"Nothing." Gu Qibao turned her head away stubbornly, her nose slightly sour.

"Did you have a nightmare?" He reached out to touch her forehead.

Gu Qibao immediately slapped his hand away, "Don’t touch me."

Di Mingjue sighed, "Stop being difficult, let’s get up and eat first."

"I don’t feel like eating anything!" Gu Qibao glared at him, "I would rather starve to death!"

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Di Mingjue looked at her displeased, "While getting angry may kill, being hungry will also kill."

As he spoke, he clapped his hands, signaling the servants to bring in the food. He then patiently lifted her up and brought her to the dining table.

She didn’t want to eat, but Di Mingjue shoved food into her mouth by spoonfuls, threatening her to eat. Gu Qibao was so angry she could explode.

Di Mingjue was at a loss. He couldn’t bear to see her throwing a fit all the time. After stuffing her full, he carried her to bed.

"Gu Xiaoqi, can you stop giving me a hard time?" Di Mingjue looked at her.

"I’ll give you a hard time! I’ll give you a hard time!" Gu Qibao shouted, her heart in pain, but she couldn’t let go of her resentment so easily. There was a fire burning in her heart, if she didn’t vent, she wouldn’t feel better.

"What do you want in order to stop throwing a tantrum, and stop being angry?" Di Mingjue cupped her small face to look into her eyes.

Gu Qibao’s eyes turned red and she sniffled, lowering her eyelids before she replied, "I don’t want to talk to you."

"You..." Di Mingjue was annoyed, "Didn’t I explain everything already? Di Xiaxia is just like a little sister to me, I don’t love her. What else do you want me to say?"

"You don’t have to say anything!" Gu Qibao struggled away from him, "Enough of it, I am going to sleep now."

Having said that, she pulled the blanket over her and secretly made a face at him; scornful and mocking. Angering him to death was exactly what she wanted!

Di Mingjue sat on the bed in silence, completely frustrated.
