Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!-Chapter 918: That Enchanting Night Felt So Familiar...
Daisy Grant denied the turbulent thoughts in her heart, forcing herself to calm down.
-
As the afternoon neared the end of work hours, Dawn Sutherland called Sam Brown to plan a contract meeting with President Jerri Sutton of Ivan Qarter, scheduled at Royal One KTV.
As he walked out of the office, his gaze fell on Daisy Grant, who was focused on her work.
Dawn’s eyes flickered, and he softly said to Sam behind him, "Call Assistant Grant."
Sam nodded, "Alright, President Sutherland." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Dawn took the elevator down first.
Sam called Daisy to gather her things and follow Dawn.
When Daisy arrived at the underground parking lot with Sam, she saw Dawn in the back seat, resting with his eyes closed.
Sam got into the driver’s seat, and Daisy gently called "President Sutherland" as she got into the back seat.
As Daisy turned her head to close the car door, unbeknownst to her, Dawn’s brows furrowed with displeasure.
With his eyes closed, Dawn was contemplating how to negotiate the deal with Jerri Sutton when the car suddenly made a sharp turn, causing Dawn’s body to sway. Instinctively, he opened his eyes and, noticing Daisy beside him tilting unsteadily to one side, immediately reached out to encircle Daisy’s waist, protecting her.
In his view, a small sedan brushed past the front, narrowly avoiding a head-on collision!
The abrupt swerve of the car left Daisy unstable, frightening her and causing her to protect her abdomen in panic. Just as she thought she was about to fall, a pair of strong, slender arms encircled her waist, pulling her into an embrace.
Daisy instantly tumbled into a broad, warm chest, her whole body tightly pressed against Dawn’s chest, close enough to hear the beat of his heart.
Holding Daisy, Dawn glanced at Sam driving up front, "What’s going on!"
She nearly fell!
Sam immediately replied apologetically, "Sorry, President Sutherland, someone ran a red light at the intersection just now, I almost crashed into them."
Dawn’s expression softened; it was the other party’s fault for not obeying traffic rules, no wonder Sam. In a gentle voice, he asked the person in his arms, "Are you okay? Were you scared?"
A blush appeared on Daisy’s face, leaning against Dawn’s chest, smelling his faint scent. She bowed her brows and lightly shook her head, "I’m fine, thank you, big brother."
Dawn’s expression gradually turned gentle with her soft call of "big brother," and warmth spread across his brows like the warmth of spring.
Sam, seeing the gentle expression and slightly raised lips of his boss in the rearview mirror, pursed his lips.
President Sutherland, your differential treatment is too obvious!
No wonder your face was so gloomy at the company today! Assistant Grant, why did you change to calling him President Sutherland? Just call him by your exclusive name "big brother"! Making him wear a stern face and work diligently under pressure today, without daring to provoke President Sutherland who’s in a bad mood!
See, being an employee is really not easy!
Sam watched with his nose and minded his own business, driving the car while pretending not to notice the intimate contact in the back seat.
That scene earlier frightened Dawn; the car almost had an accident, and she was still in the car. Instinctively, he just wanted to protect her, driven by the instinct to safeguard her in the face of danger. The lingering fear still lingered in his mind, with his arms around Daisy showing no sign of letting go.
Her hair, imbued with a clean fragrance, rested against his chin. The tip of his nose was surrounded by her subtle scent. Out of nowhere, the image of that enchanting night at the hotel’s opening party resurfaced in Dawn’s mind......
