Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!-Chapter 247 Inexpressible Deep Love [4]
Daisy Grant nodded and got into the passenger seat next to Dawn Sutherland.
The two sat in the car in silence, the atmosphere inside was somewhat strange.
Daisy stared out the window, a bit lost, while Dawn’s peripheral vision caught her face, and the bitterness that was previously immersed in memories spread again to his heart.
It was already past one in the early morning when they reached the Grant Family home, and Dawn gentlemanly opened the passenger door for Daisy Grant.
Daisy got out of the car with a smile and said, "Thank you, Second Brother, thanks for today."
Dawn smiled warmly, his eyes gently on her, "It’s nothing, just a little thing. Daisy, it’s late, go home and rest, good night, sweet dreams."
After saying this, Dawn returned to the car, started the engine intending to leave.
Daisy looked at his profile through the window, bit her lip, stepped forward two paces, and said softly, "Second Brother, can you accompany me for a stroll in City C? I haven’t come back for years and want to get familiar again."
Dawn’s hand on the steering wheel stiffened a little, looking at her with a slightly sullen tone, "Daisy, I’ve got some company matters recently. How about I talk to Third Haynes and have him show you around?"
Daisy pressed her lips and shook her head, "No need, Second Brother, don’t trouble Third Haynes. If Second Brother is busy now, I’ll wait for when you have time to stroll, right? There will always be a time."
Her eyes were hopeful, and Dawn’s fingers tightened on the steering wheel as he dared not meet her bright gaze, his voice faint, "Let’s plan another time."
Daisy paused, her gaze focused on him, "Second Brother, after not seeing each other for years, must you be a stranger to me like this?"
So after years apart, with time as a distance, he had become more of a stranger to her. There was a heaviness, an ache in Daisy’s heart.
"You’re overthinking it, how could I be a stranger to you?" He was thoroughly familiar with all her habits! When you fall in love with someone, her habits become etched in your mind and heart.
But he had to maintain a distance from her on the surface, otherwise, one day his feelings for her would be exposed, causing significant impact and trouble for her.
In the future, when she marries into the Sutherland Family, he’d have to call her sister-in-law, a designation marked by helplessness and sorrow.
If he liked another girl, he could confess, and even if rejected, he could try. But loving Daisy Grant, loving his future sister-in-law, this love couldn’t even be spoken, it could only be buried deep within.
No, not only speaking, even just thinking, imagining being with Daisy is sinful! Between uncle and sister-in-law, how could there be a possibility?
Daisy stood in place, smiled, but her eyes dimmed, "Second Brother, I hope we never become distant... Second Brother, goodnight." After speaking, she quickly turned and went back to the villa.
Dawn watched her quickly departing figure, his fingers tightly clenched. His gaze continued to follow her until she entered the villa, then he turned the car to leave. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Daisy entered the house, and Aunt Rowling had just woken up to get a drink of water. Seeing her return, she rubbed her sleepy eyes to greet her, "Miss, you’re back."
Daisy responded with a soft "Mm," her eyes lowered as she quickly headed upstairs.
Aunt Rowling poured herself a glass of water, watching Daisy’s retreating figure, shook her head, "This young lady, why does her voice sound so nasal? Could it be she caught a cold just after returning to the country?"
Daisy went upstairs and quickly closed her door, unable to hold back her tears anymore.
She slowly slid down against the door, sitting on the cold floor, softly sobbing.
She had been abroad for several years, and after booking her flight ticket, she eagerly called Dawn, excitedly telling him she was returning home.
As her return drew near, she was so excited she barely got a good night’s sleep for almost a month, just wishing time would pass faster.
