Chapter 212: Chapter 212: Do you know this is my willing choice

Ariel Morris pursed her lips and gently nodded.

Langdon Seal smiled softly, with a hint of loneliness in his smile, "Eight years ago, you collapsed at Dublin Airport and almost died there, it was related to Arlo Seys, wasn’t it?"

As Langdon Seal spoke, his gaze fell upon her left wrist. On that fair wrist, a delicate bracelet adorned it.

Ariel Morris’s gaze also landed on her own left wrist, and she smiled faintly, "Brother Langdon, the bracelet you gave me is really nice."

Langdon Seal looked at her faintly smiling face, his tone somewhat deep, "Is the bracelet nice, or is it because it conceals some things for you? Ariel, have you told Arlo Seys that you stood alone at the snow-covered Dublin Airport and almost died there because of him?"

A girl as good as Ariel almost died for Arlo Seys, why can’t Arlo cherish her?

And why, when he accompanied Ariel for so long in Dublin, can he never replace the place Arlo holds in her heart? Compared to Arlo, actually, he is more qualified to give Ariel happiness, at least he hasn’t and wouldn’t hurt her!

"Brother Langdon, don’t tell Arlo Seys about everything in Dublin, and especially don’t mention that you saved me at the airport when I was almost dying, okay?" Ariel’s voice carried a hint of panic and tension.

"You give so much, yet he knows nothing. Is that fair to you?!" Langdon Seal felt it was unfair for her.

Ariel lightly shook her head, looked at Langdon Seal with a slight smile, her voice slightly hoarse and husky, "The hurt he suffered was no less than mine. Eight years ago, Arlo cherished Ariel on the tip of his heart, all the warm times of my life were given by him. Arlo’s kindness towards me, others might not know, but I do. He is the warmest, warmest sunshine in my heart. There’s no fairness in feelings, and those hurts were not caused by him. I’m willing to protect him, just like how he used to love and cherish me without needing any reason."

"Do you know that because of him, the world almost lost Ariel Morris!" Langdon Seal’s voice was a bit cold.

Ariel lightly smiled, her voice calm and serene, "But do you know that I did it willingly. The hurt I brought to him, I should be the one to solve it."

Listening to her every word defending Arlo Seys, Langdon Seal paused, his face darkening, choosing to silently eat his meal, his eyes downcast to hide his emotions.

Knowing he was feeling wronged on her behalf and resenting Arlo Seys, Ariel felt warm inside, and looking at him she smiled slightly, "Brother Langdon, what about you? Have you found the fiancée from your arranged marriage?"

Five years ago, Langdon Seal entered the film industry, rising smoothly to become the youngest movie star in the industry. However, he had travelled across the globe over the years just to search for the fiancée his mother had arranged for him in childhood, something he had told her back in Dublin.

Langdon Seal’s emotions grew even more downcast, "This time I returned to confirm her whereabouts. But I’ve already prepared for the worst, either no news at all or that she’s no longer in this world."

Ariel was stunned and gently comforted him, "Brother Langdon, don’t be sad."

Langdon Seal shook his head looking at her, "I’ve never even met her. My mom arranged this marriage for me when I was four, and back then she was still in her mother’s womb. The reason I’ve been searching for her all these years is because her brother asked me to. I’m good brothers with her brother, and I just want to help my brother find his sister. As for the marriage arrangement, even if I do find her, I’d propose to cancel the engagement. Besides, she might not even like me, and by the time I find her, she might well have her own true love by her side."

Ariel burst out laughing, "Well, that’s truly a sad and worthy of sympathy story."
