LOVE IN PARIS: Married To My Brother-in-law-Chapter 93: Tyrell Henderson
Few days later.
The grand ballroom of the Stellar Crown Hotel glittered like a field of stars, the air charged with anticipation and excitement as everyone hovered around.
Tonight marked the opening ceremony of the highly anticipated film from an international scriptwriter, IDEAL YOU and also it serves as a lavish event to reveal and introduce it’s cast and crew before filming began however with the exclusion of someone’s.
Because the expectations were high, perhaps because it was script which contents were quite rare in the market or because it was from an international scriptwriter , it seems to be a success even before it’s start as the media hovered around curiously to lay hands on any piece of internal news.
Industry heavyweights mingled with the media, dressed in their most extravagant ensembles, while the orchestra played a soft, melodic tune that blended seamlessly with the hum of conversations.
Yvette elegantly stepped out of a sleek , black limousine and then stepped through the arched doors and the room seemed to hold its breath.
All eyes turned to her, the dazzling center of attention. She was donning a masterpiece crimson velvet gown that swept the floor and clung onto her figure, cascading down into a dramatic train , its off-shoulder design highlighting her slender neck adorned with diamonds that shimmered with every movement she took.
Her glossy black hair or the wig she had been wearing since she’d cut her hair short was styled in voluminous waves, and her makeup was a study in perfection, bold red lips and smoky eyes that exuded power and allure.
She held her head high as she descended the marble staircase, exuding an air of confidence.
But as her gaze swept across the room, she froze for a moment, her lips curving into a faint, satisfied smile.
Among the crowd, she spotted Manuel her ex-boyfriend who had uneventfully fallen from grace to grass. From the CEO now to the position of a harried manager and somehow she couldn’t help but pity him.
He was juggling several items in his hands, clipboards, papers, and a headset perched awkwardly on his head.
His suit, though neatly pressed, lacked the sophistication of those around him, or perhaps his usual defined sophistication.
He moved hurriedly, barking instructions to junior staff who barely paid attention and as she stared at him who was now a far cry from his usual self, she couldn’t help but pity him though she didn’t want to, he deserves this.
Yvette’s eyes lingered on him for a bit more while, but her feelings had long settled into clarity. There was no regret, only gratitude that their paths had diverged and only through that had she met someone who would forever be an everlasting part of her life.
She quietly turned her gaze away, letting the orchestra of applause and whispers guide her into the hall.
Inside, the room buzzed with conversation and Yvette found herself mingling among familiar faces, exchanging pleasantries while sipping on champagne.
Not far away, Tyrell Henderson, the chosen male lead of the movie stood quietly amdist a crowd of fans, just like Blair he was a top actor and while Blair was voted as the second male god, Tyrell was the first and he had the perfect personality that matched it, he was well known to be professional, kind and considerate, he even had a massive followers of over millions.
He was dressed in a classic black tuxedo tailored to perfection, exuding effortless charisma. His sharp jawline and dark eyes made him the epitome of a leading man, and his every gesture commanded attention.
His gaze flicked to the staircase, and he spotted Yvette effortlessly. His lips curled into a slight smile, and without a word to those around him, he began making his way toward her.
His strides were measured and purposeful, his presence cutting through the crowd like a ship through calm waters.
However before he could reach her, the well dressed Blair and Leila bounded over to her side.
"Look who I brought over". Leila chuckled as she pushed Blair forward.
"Hmmph" . Blair grunted as he stepped forward, dusting off the invisible dust off his sleeves with his signature charming and sweet smile.
Today, he was donning a white tuxedo jacket with a satin lapel, paired with black trousers and shiny patent-leather shoes.
" Look at you Yvette, you’re stealing the spotlight already as you always do". Blair teased, wrapping an arm around her shoulders casually.
Both Leila and Yvette laughed and Yvette tapped his shoulder lightly, her eyes twinkling. "Please, you’re the one they’re here to see. I’m just trying to blend in."
"Blend in?". Blair raised an eyebrow, gesturing at her striking gown. "You’re glowing like a beacon. If I wasn’t so secure, I’d be jealous."
Yvette swatted him playfully on the arm, but their lighthearted exchange came to an abrupt halt when Tyrell approached.
Blair grinned, but his expression shifted as he noticed Tyrell approaching. His posture stiffened, and he leaned closer to Yvette and lightly tapped Leila who was scrolling on her phone. "Heads up. Here comes Mr. Perfect."
Yvette turned her head slightly, her gaze meeting Tyrell for the briefest of moments.
"Oh, is that jealousy I sense from you?". Yvette laughed.
"You must be kidding me. He might be the one topping the charts but he’s nowhere near stealing my shine, did you see all the commotion when I arrived . . ."
The two chatted away not noticing the usually composed Leila who was now visibly shaken at Tyrell appearance, her heart was a mess as she fidgeted with her clutch, her cheeks turning an uncharacteristic shade of pink as she inwardly blamed herself for not dressing a bit better.
"So, he’s also an actor, I should have guessed. He looks so perfect". She flickered her forehead to stop her thought from running wild. "Get a hold of yourself, will you".
Before Leila could even regain her composure, Tyrell approached them and exchanged pleasantries , his warm smile extended to the group of three but his eyes lingered across from Yvette to Leila for a moment longer than necessary.
"Good evening, everyone," He greeted smoothly, his deep voice carrying a casual charm. "It’s a pleasure meeting you all".
Blair, interpreting the smile differently immediately stepped forward, inserting himself between Yvette and Tyrell, misunderstanding that he was staring at her instead of Leila.
However, Tyrell didn’t even seem to notice his gesture as he turned to face the nervous Leila.
His smile softened as he noticed her shy demeanor, and he gave her a polite nod.
"And you must be Yvette’s manager," He said warmly. "I’ve heard good things about you."
Leila’s face flushed a deep red, and she stammered, mumbling something about needing the restroom.
"I—I need to, um, excuse me for a moment."
Without waiting for a response, she spun around and hurried toward the restroom, mumbling something about needing to freshen up.
The trio exchanged amused glances. "That was... sudden," Tyrell remarked and Yvette immediately answered to ease his embarrassment.
"I’m sorry about that, she probably really need the urge to freshen up and she really is my manager and it’s nice meeting a senior like you and getting to rub minds with you on the same project".
"I understand and also welcome to Starlight Entertainment agency". He smile and bowed slightly like a gentleman. "It’s great to see you also and I can’t wait to rub minds with a genius like you".
"Oh, please. That was exaggerated". Yvette waved off his comment and laughed.
"I’m being serious". Tyrell insisted. "I applaud your proffessiolism".
"Thanks,". Yvette replied, her smile unwavering. "It’s an honor to be working with such a talented team."
As Tyrell walked past them after exchanging pleasantries, Blair crossed his arms and leaned in toward Yvette who was momentarily distracted by a passing server.
"I don’t like the way he looks at you." He whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear.
Yvette tilted her head, bemused. "What are you talking about?"
"I don’t trust the way he looks at you. He’s git that looks, like a wolf sizing up it’s prey". Blair insisted.
Yvette rolled her eyes and lightly smacked the back of his head. "Don’t be ridiculous. He’s just being polite."
"You know I don’t like to take chances". Blair shrugged, rubbing the spot where she had hit him. "I’m protecting you, you know, for Zeke’s sake".
Yvette laughed softly. "You’re just being impossible".
"You’re just being utterly impossible"."
