After sending off the Demoness and Richardson from afar, it was time for Yang Ling’s party to move out. He mounted the Golden Roc and rapidly set out towards the passageway of the dimension. This was the last day of the closure of the passageway. If they didn’t reach it in time, then it would be troublesome. He could use the Teleportation Portal to sneak back into the Tailun Continent, but that could easily expose the fact that he had the Teleportation Portal.
Yang Ling had gained a great deal from this trip to the Graveyard of Deities and Demons. Not only had he acquired numerous Divinities, but he had also tamed a number of Divine Level Magical Beasts, greatly increasing the power of his Magical Beast Army. The awakening of the Wandering Divine Beast, Golden Roc, had especially lifted the battle power of the Magical Beast Army.
As long as the Great Golden Roc Bird Mertesacker could recover to its peak power, then even an Ultimate Expert like one of those Demon Lords of the Abyss might not be able to defeat them in a single blow! With a Wandering Divine Beast like the Golden Roc joining them, the Demon God Battle Formation would really have a main force, and thus, the Magical Beast Divine Branch would also have a real Battle Expert.
Now that they had such absolute power, all the sneaky moves and underhanded tricks no longer mattered! With the extremely powerful Golden Roc, Yang Ling felt much more relaxed. He need not spend all the effort to think of schemes every time they encountered a powerful enemy, and he also no longer needed to be so personally involved in all their fights.
But, even if his power had increased greatly, Yang Ling was still unwilling to reveal that the Teleportation Portal was in his hands. Men were afraid of getting famous, and pigs were afraid of getting big. He wasn’t scared of robbers coming to steal the Teleportation Portal, but he had no desire for the endless trouble that would come if people knew about it and attempted to steal it.
“Half a year has already passed!” said the Corpse Wizard King, looking at the forests and lakes that were passing in a flash. The Graveyard of Deities and Demons seemed boundless at a glance, and as he touched the Magical Divine Ring on his finger, the Corpse Wizard King was full of emotion.
Six months ago, he was still struggling at the peak of the domain, unable to break through to the Divine Level despite practicing cultivation like mad. He hadn’t thought that in such a short time, he would advance to become a High-level Deity, high above the others. He had truly become the long sought after Divine Level Corpse Wizard King, and his power had increased a hundred or a thousandfold.
“That’s right, time really flies!” the Blood Angel Ophilia nodded her head, looked at everyone around her, and was suddenly reminded of the Scorpion King who was standing guard at the Sunset Valley. “My Lord, Emmett is still leading a group of Magical Beasts by himself in the Sunset Valley. Can we fetch him and go back to the Tailun Continent together?”
“That’s right! I was just saying that I haven’t seen those disgusting scorpions recently. My Lord, surely we can’t leave Emmett here alone to raise his Scorpions?” The Giant Ape King patted his forehead, thinking about the Scorpion King Emmett, who sometimes transformed into nothing, and sometimes transformed into many Scorpions.
…
Everyone began discussing the Scorpion King, who had been left behind to guard the Sunset Valley. When they set off on their journey, everyone was still feeling a bit down and thinking about the Demoness who had begun her long journey to the Death Dimension. But as they got closer and closer to the dimension passageway, they started to talk more amongst themselves.
“The Magical Beasts Realm shouldn’t just be limited to the Tailun Continent; there is still a boundless world out there waiting for us to discover!” Yang Ling smiled and continued, “The Graveyard of Deities and Demons may be very dangerous, but it is also full of opportunity, full of countless specialty resources. We may be going back to the Tailun Continent today, but that doesn’t mean that we are never coming back.”
“My Lord, do you mean that Sunset Valley is our domain within the Graveyard of Deities and Demons? Another base of our Magical Beasts Realm?” A lightbulb went off in the Corpse Wizard King’s head.
They needed to develop their domain and expand the Wizard Pagoda’s Space, and both activities required large amounts of resources. Without question, the rich resources in the Graveyard of the Deities and Demons could bring endless support.
“This is very normal. Almost every powerful faction and family will own many resources and have many footholds in various Dimensions with rich resources!” As a Blood Angel who had been to many Dimensions, Ophilia was very clear about the structure of the various powerful factions. She understood that the Magical Beasts Realm, which Yang Ling built single-handedly, was finally taking its first step towards expansion. She was full of hope for the future.
…
The Golden Roc was alarmingly fast, whizzing past like a fighter jet traveling at light speed as it headed towards the dimension passageway, straight as a pin. There were no obstacles in their way. Even the best High-level Deities wouldn’t have noticed a huge Magical Beast flying overhead unless he carefully observed his surroundings!
By the stroke of noon, they had successfully returned to the dimension passageway. The Chief Elven Priestess, the God of Swords, and others had already arrived. They stood with smiles on their faces, and it seemed that they had gained a lot over the last half-year as well.
With a deafening shriek, the Golden Roc dived straight downward, appearing in front of the others in the blink of an eye. Even though it had already slowed its speed by half, it was still astonishingly fast, rapidly catching everyone’s attention.
“Brother Yang Ling, you… Did you summon a Divine-level flying Magical Beast?” As he looked at the sharp eyes and coldly glinting claws of the enormous Golden Roc, the Golden Lion Barker was envious beyond words. It took him a minute to recover from his shock. “Brother Yang Ling, if I’m not wrong, is this Magical Beast a Low-level Deity?”
Under normal circumstances, Divine-level Magical Beasts were extremely fast. No matter how powerful one was, it was extremely difficult to catch a Divine-level Magical Beast, much less to tame and ride one. Even though he had been a top-rank Mid-level Deity for some time, Barker had never once thought of owning a Divine-level flying Magical Beast that he could use as a mount. Looking at the enormous Golden Roc, he was envious, and at the same time, a tad jealous!
“You’re right, this Magical Beast just leveled to Low-level Deity a few days ago. Barker, I think that your eyes are getting better and better! You were able to see this fellow’s power with one glance!” Yang Ling smiled, and sighed before saying, “What a failure. Half a year has passed, and I’ve only recently gotten a Magical Beast that’s a Low-level Deity!”
“There are dangers everywhere in the Graveyard of the Deities and Demons. It’s a good thing that you made it back alive. Thankfully, success in hunting depends on one’s abilities, not just luck. While you’ve been gone, we, the Borg Family, have hunted and killed many Level Surpassing Magical Beasts. If you need them, I can give you a few Level Surpassing Magical Beast Essence Crystals!” Seeing Yang Ling sighing and moaning, as if he had gained nothing over the past half a year, the Golden Lion Barker patted his shoulder. The man seemed quite self-satisfied, and he didn’t notice the Golden Roc rolling its eyes condescendingly at the side.
The real power of the Golden Roc far exceeded everyone’s expectations. Even if Yang Ling had told the truth, few would have believed that he had actually summoned a legendary Wandering Divine Beast. After advancing to become a Mid-level Soul Wizard, Yang Ling further reined in the energy ripples within his body, keeping Barker from discovering Yang Ling’s real power.
If he knew that Yang Ling could now kill a Divine Duty Expert with one stroke of his hand, or that the Golden Roc lying beside him was a Wandering Divine Beast… Well, who knew how he would react?
“Okay, Yang Ling, why are you just getting here now?” Looking at the smiling Yang Ling, the Chief Elven Priestess shook her head. Others might not see through Yang Ling’s pretenses and complaining, but she could. Out of the things that he had brought back, the Pure Gold Sand alone was worth more than anyone else’s recently acquired treasures.
“Don’t talk about it. We almost didn’t make it back!” Looking at the anxious Chief Elven Priestess, who was worried that something had happened to him, Yang Ling shook his head and smiled. “Oh right, Chief Priestess, is there any news of Barbosa and the Three Great Elders of the Dark?”
Three Elders of the Dark?
The Chief Elven Priestess and the God of Swords Gerald looked at each other and shook their heads. In the past six months, they hadn’t received any news of the Three Elders of the Dark. The dimension passageway was about to close, there was no sign of them, and no one knew what had happened.
“What about Lord Raymond, why is there no sign of him?” Thinking about the mission of the Three Elders of the Dark on this trip, Yang Ling’s heart sank. He had a bad feeling about this.
In order to gain ownership of the Mother Nest that produced the Wandering Divine Beasts, the various powerful factions had sent their Experts to go deep into the Graveyard of the Deities and Demons to battle for it. The competition was many times more brutal than the journey to the Demon Palace. The Three Elders of the Dark were still considered Experts on the Tailun Continent, but against the Ultimate Experts of the various powerful factions, they were nothing. If things had gone badly, Yang Ling feared that Three Elders of the Dark might have gotten their souls destroyed and their bodies shattered!
“I don’t know. There’s no sign of Lord Raymond, even though the dimension passageway is about to close. On previous journeys, he usually reaches the passageway a few days before. Has something happened this time around?” The Chief Elven Priestess shook her head, full of worries.
Whoosh!
Speak of the devil!
Just as everyone was anxiously talking amongst themselves, a cloud of red flames flew forward across the sky like a shooting star, with speed comparable to the Golden Roc. As everyone turned to look, they realized it was the God of Fire Raymond, who was running late!
“Everyone’s here, right? Let’s go!” Raymond’s face was calm, and he didn’t show any sign of joy, sadness, or anger. As he spoke, he waved his hand and rapidly activated the dimension passageway hidden by a Spell Formation.
“Lord Raymond, do you have any news of the three of them, including Barbosa?”
As Yang Ling turned back to look at the boundless Graveyard of Deities and Demons, the smiling faces of the Three Elders of the Dark surfaced in his mind again. Even though Yang Ling hadn’t known them for long, they had given a fair bit of help to him and the Magical Beasts Realm in the past!
“We don’t need to wait for the three of them any longer. Let’s go. Not everyone has the capabilities to fight for the Mother Nest!” Raymond continued to take big strides towards the Teleportation Portal, not even pausing. Just as he was about to step into the Teleportation Portal, he paused and turned back, saying meaningfully, “Yang Ling, if you really want to help the Three Elders of the Dark, then practice hard at your cultivation. If you can someday tame the Mother Nest that escaped to the Chaos Dimension through the Space Crack, then you will have the right and capabilities to rescue the three of them!”
Tame the Mother Nest?
A jolt ran through Yang Ling’s body. It seemed that in an instant, Raymond had seen through him and found out all his secrets. At that moment, he didn’t know what had happened to the Three Elders of the Dark. And to an even greater degree, he didn’t know who the God of Fire Raymond really was!
