The three of them sat in silence, seemingly none of them wanting to break the stillness in the room. However, this only lasted until Old Dan didn't lean forward and placed his hands on his thigh.

"...You haven't changed at all. You look exactly just as I have last seen you. Well, except... that." Old Dan spoke calmly, clearly indicating at Raven's golden eyes that flickered like two golden suns.

"I would like to say the same, but unfortunately I can't, dad." Raven laughed with a wry smile, earning a soft smile from both Old Dan and Thomas.

Indeed, Old Dan has changed massively since the last time Raven had seen him.

"Anyways... Can you please explain to us what happened? After you have jumped into that pit you have just vanished into empty air without any sign of showing up again."

Raven nodded but instead of explaining the things right away he asked, "Can we make this room soundproof?"

Old Dan raised an eyebrow as he didn't really understand why Raven asked about something like this, but seeing the grave expression he nodded and asked Thomas to activate the soundproof function that had been installed in the mansion several years ago yet had been used only once.

"Thank you." Raven sighed and began to speak, "Before I tell you everything, I wish to ask something. How did you all survive? No, instead what happened with that Rotrid?"

Although Raven had a guess he wished to hear it from someone who witnessed it with their own two eyes.

"The Rotrid? You mean Paloma?" Old Dan mumbled and after frowning with confusion he asked, "Wasn't you the one who killed her?"

"Huh? No." Raven shook his head which further deepened the scowl on Old Dan's and even on Thomas' faces.

"Hmm..." humming quietly Old Dan quickly took out his phone and after searching on it for a little while he placed it on the table between him and Raven.

Whoosh!

In a flash, a hologram appeared floating in mid-air right above the table, showing the scene where Raven jumped off of the cliff into the empty pit, followed by Paloma closely after him not even a second later.

Raven watched as his figure descended into the seemingly empty pit rapidly, only to vanish into thin air the next second while Paloma just exploded into bits of flesh and shredded organs!

'As I have thought... Whatever that black pillar of light was, it was only harmless to me. Everyone else touching it or coming into contact with it would die right away.'

While Raven pondered Old Dan put his phone away and said, "We and everyone else thought at that time you have used a unique Artifact to defeat Paloma, but considering your previous reaction it is not the case."

"Yeah." Raven nodded and after taking a deep breath he explained everything, not hiding a thing from Old Dan and Thomas.

In the whole world Raven only trusted 3 people wholeheartedly with two being already before him while the third one seemingly being away on a mission according to what he heard.

That someone, it was needless to say, was Luna.

Raven talked for over half an hour straight with a calm face while Old Dan and Thomas looked more dazed the longer they listened.

"...This seal. Is the reason why your eyes turned golden." Old Dan asked to which Raven nodded.

"I think so, yes."

"And now that this seal is broken, your status had been modified and you have been granted a unique power?" Old Dan asked.

"Yes. It is called Luck Enhancement. It seems I can increase the chances of things happening, attaining the power to alter one's luck either in a good or bad way."

Old Dan and Thomas looked at each other before the former swallowed nervously and asked, "Can... Can you show us how it works?"

Raven nodded and looked around the room before his eyes shifted to the side where he could see two kids playing with a soccer ball on the street while a third kid watched them with jealousy. l and anger.

----------------

Current Chances for the ball to shatter the window: 99% (Max: 100%)

Available Luck Energy to manipulate: 13.05%

Needed Mystique to activate Luck Manipulation: 100 units

----------------

After seeing the panel, Raven pointed there and said, "What do you think, just how high is the chance for that soccer ball breaking this window?"

Old Dan followed Raven's finger and raised a brow.

"Well, considering how high this mansion's fence is and how far away they are, I would say pretty much zero."

"Zero?" Raven raised a brow but soon smiled as if he wouldn't have possessed his Luck Manipulation he would have said the same thing.

After all, while it was true that the soccer ball could be kicked at the mansion above the fence, it was very unlikely it would land exactly in a way that it would shatter the window.

One had to literally kick the ball with all their strength to even get the chance to break the window! 𝑓𝘳ℯ𝒆w𝘦𝘣𝙣𝘰ѵ𝘦𝚕.c𝗼𝓶

"Then I apologize beforehand." Raven kept his smile, confusing both Old Dan and Thomas before he activated his Luck Manipulation and used 0.5% Luck Energy.

And in that very moment he did, the kid who all this time just sat around idly suddenly jumped onto his feet and with fury in his eyes run at the rolling soccer ball before kicking it with all his might.

And a second later...

Smash!

With a loud burst, the window several meters away from Raven exploded, sending shattered glasses in every direction while the soccer ball bounced on the floor and...

Bam!

With a speed that didn't let Raven react in time hence why he kept smiling, the ball flew through the living room and struck Raven right in the face, sending his body flying off the couch in an instant!

[Your Luck Energy had been boosted by 1%!]
