Lord Game: I Have 100 Million Talents-Chapter 144 - 99: Desperate Comeback! Self-Destructing Mighty Fox
But the Dragon King player reacted quickly. Knowing this wasn't the time to consider such problems, he immediately used the Eye of All-Seeing to give an order to the Evil God Legion ahead:
"Break formation immediately!"
"Don't give their Mage soldier type another chance to deal AOE damage!"
The moment he spoke, the distant Evil God Soldiers scattered. Only the four Siege Hammer War Vehicles tasked with breaking the gate continued to advance, surrounded by about a dozen tightly clustered Evil God Soldiers.
Qin Feng glanced coldly over the scattered Evil God Soldiers below, his voice devoid of any warmth.
"Continue!"
"Fireball Technique!"
"Remember to attack in waves!"
"Destroy those Siege Hammer War Vehicles, but don't waste any extra Magic Power on overkill!"
Upon receiving their Lord's command, the faint sound of paws pattering against stone echoed from the top of the city wall.
The newly-advanced Flame Foxes padded across the cool stone of the wall, swiftly forming a neat, fan-shaped firing line. Their fluffy tails curled slightly upward, the sparks at their tips trembling with each breath like clusters of tinder waiting to ignite.
They parted their jaws, where crimson Fireballs were already boiling into existence. An orange-red core, wreathed in a scorching heatwave, roasted the surrounding air until it shimmered and warped.
But the Flame Foxes didn't launch a single, reckless volley. Instead, they took turns casting in groups of three. A new wave of the Fireball Technique would only be unleashed after the previous one had detonated on a Siege Hammer War Vehicle's wooden frame and confirmed that the vehicle had not been destroyed.
And so it went.
Scorching heatwaves slammed back and forth between the city wall and the war vehicles.
Kicking up a sky full of sparks.
The menacing, giant steel hammers were first roasted until they glowed cherry-red. Then, under the sustained high heat, they twisted and buckled before finally shattering inch by inch amid a series of dull cracks.
In just a few moments, the siege behemoths that had been glaring menacingly at the city wall and gate collapsed into a heap of blackened scrap iron.
Molten wooden frames and twisted steel plates fused together, smoldering in the embers and giving off wisps of smoke. They no longer held a shred of the intimidating power that had threatened to shake the city gate.
The Greed player's voice trembled with unconcealable apprehension as he stared at the pile of burnt scrap.
"Brother Long..."
"The Siege Hammer War Vehicles... they're all gone..."
"So..."
"What do we do now...?"
Dragon King raised a hand, cutting off his rambling. His voice was low and heavy.
"I know!"
"Don't panic!"
"That guy's Extraordinary Mages can't have much Magic Power left!"
"And at most, he only has about ten Extraordinary Mages!"
"Otherwise!"
"He wouldn't be fighting so cautiously!"
"If he really wanted to go for the kill, he would've gone all-out with the first wave and blasted those tightly packed Evil God Soldiers to smithereens!"
After a pause, Dragon King's gaze swept across the city wall, his tone filled with unshakeable conviction.
"And his archer Soldier Types!"
"And that Legendary Shooter Hero!"
"They haven't fired a single arrow this whole time... Either their quivers are completely empty and they haven't had time to retrieve the arrows from the battlefield..."
"Or their stamina is completely gone!"
"They can't even draw their bowstrings!"
Hearing this, the Greed player's eyes lit up. Like a gambler who'd just seen a winning hand, his voice surged with excitement.
"Brother Long... are you saying we should have the Evil God Legion just hack down the gate and force their way in?"
Dragon King nodded firmly.
"Yes!"
"That's the plan!"
"You keep those Desert Giant Wolves that are trying to flank us occupied!"
"Don't let them get near the Evil God Legion!"
He then turned to the female player beside him, one who had pledged allegiance to the God of Lust and completely unleashed her nature.
Her clothing was audacious, her fair skin shimmering in the dim light. The neckline plunged shockingly low, revealing the ample curve of her chest, with some sort of reddish-black material faintly visible at the edge.
"Alan!"
"You sneak up close!"
"See if you can find an opportunity to cast some powerful Thunder Magic spells to help the Evil God Legion break down the gate faster!"
The Lust Player, who was called Zhou Lan, immediately puffed out her chest and replied in a deliberately coquettish tone.
"I understand!"
"Brother Long!"
At almost the same moment, on the city wall, Qin Feng watched the Evil God Legion still charging the gate below. His brow furrowed slightly as he guessed their next move.
'Huh?'
'They're still attacking?'
'Do they really expect those Evil God Soldiers to break down the gate with just their swords and blades?'
'These guys... are they so sure my Divine Chosen Legion is a spent force, that my Flame Foxes are out of Magic Power, and that I can no longer handle these few hundred Zero-star (gold) Evil God Soldiers?'
'Heh!'
'They've actually guessed most of it right!'
'I really don't have any city-defense troops left that can face the Evil God Legion head-on!'
'And the extra Magic Power my newly advanced Flame Foxes had was completely drained by those Siege Hammer War Vehicles!'
'But!'
'I still have one last trump card!'
Qin Feng's fingertips tapped lightly against the stone wall. His gaze swept over the Shadow on the ramparts, and a cold glint flashed in the depths of his eyes.
'The cost is a bit high, but at a critical time like this, cost is the last thing I should be worried about...'
'So!'
'Go!'
'Self-destructive Dragon!'
"SKREEE!"
As a sharp fox's screech tore across the battlefield, a small Flame Fox leaped from the wall like a crimson meteor. Its fluffy tail trailed sparks as it plunged straight into the crowd of Evil God Soldiers who were frantically hacking at the city gate.
Activate! Special Skill! Self-Destructive Fire!
BOOM!!!
In a single instant, a wave of incandescent white flame, many times more powerful than the Fireball Technique, erupted outward like a miniature sun rising from the ground.
