Lord Game: I Have 100 Million Talents-Chapter 101 - 78: I Want... I Want So Badly to Get Him...
"T-terrible news!"
"King Rado!"
A blood-soaked Kobold Warrior came tumbling into the hall, gasping for breath:
"Those Wolfman Cavalry have broken into the inner city! Our forces can’t hold them back! Only you and your army of Gluttony Warriors can stop them!"
"And!"
"We’ve already looked!"
"That strange human who drove us out of the upper mining area yesterday isn’t among them!"
"He’s absolutely no threat to your safety!"
Hearing his Kobold subordinate’s report, a conflicted and nervous look flashed in King Rado’s eyes. He asked in a grim voice:
"Are you sure?"
"That eerie human Shooter from yesterday isn’t mixed in with them?"
The Kobold soldier, who had been routed and beaten by the Wolfman army, clutched his wounded chest and swore:
"I’m sure!"
"King Rado!"
"It’s really just those Wolfmen out there!"
"And what’s more, they’re just a bunch of Wolf Rider Infantry who can’t even fight on their Wolf Pack!"
"If I’m lying, may Lord Gluttony skin me alive and devour me whole, and may my flesh and blood become an offering to Him!"
Hearing this, King Rado hesitated for a long while before finally rising from his throne and saying viciously:
"Fine!"
"As long as that eerie human isn’t here!"
"I’m Invincible!"
"Watch me tear all these stupid, useless Wolfmen to pieces!"
"Warriors!"
"Charge with me!"
With that, King Rado led his elite Kobolds—now transformed into Gluttony Warriors—and charged out of the grand palace hall, their feet kicking up the three-inch-thick dust that coated the cyan floor tiles.
They had barely rounded the stone pillars carved with twisted human faces at the palace’s main entrance when they ran headlong into the Wolfman army, which had already fought its way into the heart of the Ancient City.
Instantly.
The Wolfmen were frozen in place by the terrifying sight before them.
King Rado’s massive, three-meter-tall frame was shrouded in a fetid green mist. Greenish-blue Plague Poison seeped from his body, dripping from the Bone Spikes on his pauldrons.
Meanwhile, the Champion’s Axe in his hand flashed with a cold, white light under the city’s highest Glowing Crystal. Each glint of light illuminated the massive, angular muscles visible in the gaps of his armor—hard and sharp as obsidian, and still caked with unwashed, dried blood from the day before.
But what truly made the Wolfmen’s fur stand on end was the dark purple energy that pulsed from the seams of his armor whenever his chest heaved.
It was a clear sign of the Power of the Evil God surging through his veins. Each breath he took made the air crackle, making him the very image of a slaughter golem crawling out from the inferno.
"What the hell!"
"Damn it all!"
"What kind of monster is that!?"
Ultimately, however, they were far too confident in their own strength. Though they had a vague sense of the terrifying power wielded by Gluttony’s Chosen, a single furious roar was enough to turn them into a pack of frenzied beasts. Ignited by battle fury, they charged the creature, completely heedless of their own lives.
King Rado snorted coldly:
"Hmph!"
"Scum!"
"You’re just begging to die!"
He slammed his Champion’s Axe into the ground, activating his skill: Tornado Slash. In an instant, his dark form swelled, his giant body transforming into a spinning, crimson tornado. The axe blade whirled madly, its shriek tearing through the air.
The Wolfman Cavalry in the vanguard didn’t even have time to scream before they were sucked into the heart of the bloody tempest. Fur and bone exploded into a crimson mist. Shredded flesh and the wreckage of shattered iron spears rained against the stone wall behind them, and warm droplets of blood sizzled against the bluish-gray stone, leaving horrifying marks.
In that instant, every hair on Fenrir’s body stood on end. Her keen perception, an ability gained after becoming a Transcendent, made her instinctively aware of a Powerful, mortal threat.
She whipped her fluffy, snow-white tail, the fur at its tip flaring from the sudden movement. An almost imperceptible tremor of panic entered her voice as she yelled to the swarming Wolfman army:
"Hurry!!!"
"Retreat!!!"
"Don’t fight that thing!!!"
But it was too late. King Rado’s Four-dimensional Attributes already completely dwarfed every other creature on the field. Aided by his gold-quality Heroic Equipment and Heroic Weapon, he was completely unstoppable. Every swing of his axe unleashed a tidal wave of flying flesh and blood.
"Hahahaha!"
"Yes!"
"This feels incredible!"
"This is my true strength!"
"You scum! All of you, remember this! I am the most loyal of Lord Gluttony’s Divine Chosen Believers! King Rado!"
"You should be honored to die by my hand!"
Maniacal laughter, mingled with the crisp sound of shattering bone, echoed across the battlefield. In the crimson tornado’s wake, only mangled limbs and the fading wails of the dying remained.
As Fenrir watched her Wolfman kin fall one after another like stalks of wheat, she ground her snow-white teeth together, a ghostly blue fire of rage igniting deep within her eyes.
She hesitated no longer. Her grip on her iron spear was so tight it left deep marks in her palm. Her slender frame became a streak of white light wreathed in flecks of snow, and she shot like a meteor to intercept King Rado’s murderous path.
But without the synergistic power of her Frost Wolf Mount, a Demon Beast, her own combat power—having only just reached the Zero-star (Gold) threshold—was nothing but a firefly flying into a raging inferno in the face of the crazed Gluttony’s Chosen.
"Heh!"
"Excellent!"
"Finally, a decent opponent!"
King Rado laughed madly. His entire body suddenly shot forward like a black meteor, his Champion’s Axe carving a vicious arc through the air.
Activating skill!
Shattering!
With the explosive roar of the skill, the gale kicked up by the axe blade tore the fur on Fenrir’s shoulder. Beads of blood spattered to the ground like shattered jade, searing winding red marks onto the scorched earth.
