Long Live the Mad Wife!-Chapter 35
Chapter 35
“Would these… suffice?” Biluo waved the silver notes in her hands.
A smile slowly crept up on the Madame’s face. “Hehe, it’s enough, it’s enough.”
Those who possessed these types of silver notes were not ordinary.
“Hurry and bring us inside.”
“Yes, please follow me,” the Madame took the stack of silver notes and said with a smile.
Thus, Feng Chuge and the trio followed the Madame and arrived in a room in the backyard of the brothel.
After the Madame pressed a trigger, one of the walls caved in.
“The underground trading area is right inside…”
…
True to the information Qinglian had obtained, the underground trading area was carried out here.
The supposedly pitch-black underground was illuminated by numerous luminous pearls.
On both sides of the passage were numerous different stores.
There were those who sold pills, weapons, and also various strange or rare treasures.
Feng Chuge and her group checked out the stores as they walked by. There was no lack of stores that sold medicinal ingredients, and many of them were considered precious. However, she had no use for them.
From one end to another end, she did not manage to find anything she needed. Feng Chuge could not help but feel disappointed.
“Miss, is there nothing you want?” Zilan asked when she saw Feng Chuge’s expression.
Feng Chuge sighed. “It seems like we can only look for it elsewhere. Alright, let’s go back.”
She then turned around with the intention to leave.
The instant she turned around, her line of sight suddenly focused on a cage.
It was a pretty small cage with a snow-white ball curled up on one side.
With how it was curled up, there was no way to discern what it was. Only its pair of blue shining eyes was revealed which radiated slight specks of light.
Feng Chuge had no intentions to stay, but for some reason, the creature’s blue eyes thoroughly attracted her attention.
Looking into its sapphire-colored eyes, she felt as if she was watching a dark-blue vortex where she could not shift her gaze away.
“Miss, are you interested in this cat?” From behind the cage, a man dressed in black long robes spoke up.
The person who spoke was an old man.
Not only was he wearing a black robe, but he also had a black conical hat on his head.
His half narrow eyes that appeared muddy occasionally revealed traces of light.
Feng Chuge shook her head. “No.”
She came here for medicinal ingredients and since she did not find any, she might as well return as soon as possible.
Just as she was about to leave, there seemed to be a powerful pulling force coming out from the cat which made her turn around once again.
“Miss, it seems like you are fated with this cat. Why don’t I gift it to you…” The black-robed man nodded.
Feng Chuge raised her brow.
Gift?
Could this be considered a good thing?
The other items displayed in his store were clearly marked with prices, but not this cat.
Just as Feng Chuge was about to speak, a sudden tender voice sounded, “Wow… Such an adorable cat. I want it!!”
