Living With a Temperamental Adonis 99 Proclamations of Love-Chapter 990: Hello, Sir, Goodbye, Sir 3
The coffee Qin Yinan requested was soon served. Mr. Smith was still in the shower, and Qin Yinan sat alone in the large living room, looking through the paper.
Cheng Qingchong walked lightly to place the cup of coffee on the coffee table before Qin Yinan, asking, "Sir, would you like to add any sugar or milk to your coffee?"
Qin Yinan stared at his newspaper and didn't respond.
Cheng Qingchong waited awkwardly beside the table. When she realized he was not going to talk to her, she placed the china bowls with sugar and milk down beside the coffee cup.
"Sir, enjoy your coffee," she politely said before hugging the tray and leaving the room.
When the supper was ready, Cheng Qingchong first gave Mr. Smith's room a call. After ensuring they were ready, she personally went to lead them to the restaurant. Similar to how she led them to the room, Cheng Qingchong walked in front while Mr. Smith and Qin Yinan lagged behind to talk about work.
Cheng Qingchong knew from their conversation that Mr. Smith came to China this time to discuss a cooperation with Qin Yinan. The presidential suite at Four Seasons had been booked by Qin Yinan in Mr. Smith's name.
The restaurant was almost empty at that time of night. Cheng Qingchong led Mr. Smith and Qin Yinan to a window seat. After she helped them with the table setting, she asked the waitress to serve the supper.
Since Mr. Smith and Qin Yinan seemed like they were going to discuss business over supper, Cheng Qingchong tactfully stood quite a distance away from their table.
There was a client near the restaurant entrance who accidentally knocked a plate off the table. Most of the restaurant waitresses were off the clock already, so it was Cheng Qingchong who rushed forward to ask with concern, "Miss, did you hurt yourself?"
The client shook her head.
Cheng Qingchong smiled and helped the client retrieve a new plate before squatting down to hurriedly pick up the shattered pieces.
…
When the plate fell on the ground and crashed into pieces, Qin Yinan unconsciously turned toward the sound. Initially, he didn't think much of it until he saw Cheng Qingchong bend down and used her bare hands to pick up the pieces. It was then that his lips tensed involuntarily.
Now that he thought about it, it had been almost two months since he last saw her.
It had crossed his mind multiple times to check up on how she was doing, but he didn't really act on it. It was not until today when he saw her at Four Seasons that he knew she had entered the hotelier business.
It had to be said that she was the perfect manager, so perfect—that it annoyed him for some reason.
Out of the corner of his eyes, Qin Yinan saw Cheng Qingchong's body shudder. He turned toward her and managed to catch a glimpse of a bloody cut on her finger. Even though the wound looked quite serious, she didn't seem to feel the sensation of pain because the next second, she returned to her calm self and continued to pick up the pieces. She wrapped them up carefully in a cloth and walked toward the bathroom.
When Cheng Qingchong came out from the bathroom, Mr. Smith had just finished his supper. He stood up alongside Qin Yinan.
Qin Yinan didn't follow Mr. Smith upstairs, so the latter had Cheng Qingchong send Qin Yinan away. Cheng Qingchong nodded with a smile. After Mr. Smith returned to his room, Cheng Qingchong did as she was asked and walked Qin Yinan to the hotel entrance.
Qin Yinan's driver was already waiting at the entrance.
