Livestream: Unlimited Experience!-Chapter 51: Picnic With Valery
Since they bought quite a lot of plants to use for decoration, Jay asked the staff of Green Garden to deliver those at the apartment.
Coming out of the store, Jay faced his parents and asked,
"Where do you want to go next?"
"Well, me and your Dad are both actually feeling tired already. We want to go back home now."
Jay’s mother said, looking a little tired.
Jay thought about it and realized that he’s been dragging his parents all over the place since early in the morning.
It is already 2 PM right now.
It’s not surprising that they are tired.
"Oh, is that so, Mom? Then, let’s go back home now."
His mother looked at him and asked, "You’re also going back home? Is there nothing else that you need to do?"
Hearing his mother’s inquiry, Jay thought about it and remembered Valery.
"Well... actually, I was thinking about going to a friend that went here to Olongapo all the way from Cebu."
Jay’s parents looked at him with surprise.
"Your friend travelled that far just to visit you here?"
Jay nodded.
Immediately, his mother said,
"Then what are you still doing here? Go and entertain your friend!"
"Since that friend of yours came all the way here, you should do your best as a host!"
"You don’t have to mind me and your dad. We can just go back on our own."
Jay scratched his head.
"Uh, can’t I just accompany you back home first?"
Jay’s mother rolled her eyes at him and said,
"Why do you even need to accompany us home? Me and your father are both still young!"
Jay’s mother is just 50 years old while his father is 52 years old.
At this age, both of them are still in their middle age years and still very strong.
But for Jay, it doesn’t matter if they are strong or not.
As a son, he just wants to take care of his own parents.
As if knowing his thoughts, Jay’s mother didn’t even let him speak and said,
"If you’re worried about us, how about you just call for a car to bring us home?"
Jay thought about it and nodded.
"Alright, let’s do that. I’ll go and book a ride now."
Jay took out his phone and started tinkering with it.
Not long after, he was done.
"There, I already booked a ride. Let’s just wait for it over there."
Moving on the side of the road, the three of them waited while chatting about some trivial things.
Soon, the car Jay booked arrived and stopped in front of them.
"Well, the car is here now. We will go ahead now, Son."
His father said.
As for his mother, she looked at Jay seriously and said,
"Jay, if your friend doesn’t mind, you can also bring them to our house, okay? Message me ahead of time if you’re coming so I can cook something for the guest."
"Okay, Mom. I’ll make sure to give you a heads up if we’re going."
"Okay, good, good."
After saying a few more things to Jay, his mother finally stepped inside the car with his father.
Watching the car drive away, Jay smiled before turning around.
"Now then, I should contact Valery."
Jay scrolled through his phone’s contact and found Valery’s number.
Pressing call, it rang for a while before being answered.
[Hello?]
"Hey, Val, it’s Jay."
[Oh, Jay, what’s the matter?]
"Well, I was just thinking that since you came this far to visit me, I shouldn’t just leave you on your own while you’re here in my city."
[Wow, you mean, you wanna hang out right now?]
"Hahaha, yeah. Is there anything you want to do today?"
[Hmm, I don’t have anything in particular in mind. But if possible, I just wanna relax today.]
Hearing her words, Jay thought for a while before coming up with an idea.
"Ah, since that’s the case, how about we just go on a picnic today? I know a perfect spot!"
On the other end of the call, the eager voice of Valery sounded.
[A picnic?! Yes! Let’s go, let’s go!]
"Alright, great. You should get ready first. I’ll just buy some snacks and things that we’ll use before going to you."
[Alright, see you later!]
After hanging up the call, Jay turned around and went to various stores.
...
At the Royal Hotel.
Valery is in her bed at this time, looking at her phone with a wide grin on her face.
"Hehe, that Jay, I didn’t expect him to take the initiative to invite me on a date."
"... I mean, this should be a date, right?"
Sitting up on her bed, a serious look appeared on her beautiful face.
"From what I read before, it’s usually couples only who go on a picnic for a date. If it’s for friends, it’s impossible to be just two person, especially a man and a woman combination."
"With that logic, it shouldn’t be wrong to call this a picnic date indeed!"
After rationalizing everything and doing girl math in her head, Valery once again started giggling.
"Oh, right. I don’t have time to waste like this!"
"I should take a shower and make preparations already!"
Saying that, Valery didn’t dilly-dally and hastily went to the bathroom to wash up.
...
Oblivious to the emotional fluctuations that his simple picnic invitation has caused to Valery, Jay is still busy picking things from store to store.
After almost 15 minutes, Jay finally managed to buy everything he needed.
"This should be enough. It’s just me and Valery anyway."
Looking at the bunch of paper bags in his hands, Jay said.
Next, Jay booked another car from Ride Safe for the sake of convenience.
Soon, the car arrived and Jay got inside before it left the city center.
In less than 10 minutes, the car reached the Royal Hotel.
Jay got down from the car and sent a message to Valery.
[Hey, Val. I’m already outside the hotel.]
