Live Strong in the Wilderness-Chapter 183: Lu Yao’s Counterattack
"You wait here, rest against the tree. I’ll go finish off those beasts." Saying this, Lu Yao grabbed Wang Jin and leaned her against a large tree.
It was only then that Wang Jin completely stopped.
But she felt she couldn’t even stand, where would she find the strength to counterattack?
She really wanted to stop Lu Yao, but she didn’t have the energy to speak.
Originally, she thought she was very capable and wouldn’t be worse than Lu Yao.
Now, she realized the gap between herself and Lu Yao.
The same run for such a long time, yet Lu Yao still had the energy to turn back and hunt those animals.
Lu Yao turned back quickly because she didn’t know if those animals would recover some strength after resting for a few minutes.
A minute later, Lu Yao saw the silhouettes of those animals.
Three were standing, while the other five lay on the ground panting heavily.
Seeing Lu Yao return, they instinctively wanted to stand up but already had no strength.
Lu Yao, holding an axe in one hand and a machete in the other, charged at the three beasts that were still standing.
Deal with these three first, the remaining five would be lambs to the slaughter, without any power to resist.
The three beasts bared their teeth, revealing sharp fangs, wanting to pounce on Lu Yao.
However, after taking a few steps, Lu Yao was already upon them.
She swung the axe, directly striking the head of the closest one and smashing it heavily to the ground.
One kill!
Then, Lu Yao switched the knife to her right hand and slashed at another one’s neck.
With one slash, she directly cleaved the neck, blood spurting out instantly.
The last one tried to bite Lu Yao’s thigh.
But her leg had already kicked out, directly sending it flying.
"Ha!"
With a loud shout, Lu Yao lunged, her strong arm driving the machete straight down onto the beast’s neck.
"Beautiful, amazing, awesome!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!"
"Cousin is awesome, unbeatable!"
The triple kill directly invigorated the live stream.
They watched the two constantly fleeing for their lives, feeling both anxious and stifled inside.
Now, Lu Yao actually counter-attacked, and her moves were extremely fluid, her speed exceptional.
Lu Yao didn’t stop, drawing out the axe, chopping each one without missing a single one.
"This is the true strength of a female special ops member, this is a life-and-death struggle. In modern society, they wouldn’t treat the enemy like this. But beasts, well, it’s naturally no problem."
"Eight kills, amazing, my sister’s awesome."
"Awesome, got 64 points, climbed to third place in the rankings."
"Such endurance, better than a marathon runner."
"Whoever compared them to marathon runners is joking, didn’t you notice the speed they started with?"
"With Wanzi’s stamina, they’d definitely be the marathon champion, leaving the second place far behind."
"Everyone’s enhanced, if I could go to that planet, I could do it too."
"Unfortunately, you don’t have the fate, weren’t chosen!"
Hearing the notification in her mind, Lu Yao let out a sigh of relief.
She had really done it.
Looking at the axe in her hand, Lu Yao showed a slight smile.
Is this the effect of the body becoming stronger?
It felt really good, somewhat addictive.
Leaning against a tree, Lu Yao was panting heavily.
This counter-attack wave had drained her last bit of strength, so she needed to recover a bit.
After a dozen minutes or so, Lu Yao started walking towards Wang Jin’s direction.
It turned out, Wang Jin was also walking over.
"Sis, did you, did you kill them all?" Wang Jin couldn’t help but ask as she saw Lu Yao return.
"Yes, fortunately, their energy was also drained, and I managed to counter-kill them. Eight points per, we now have 70 points," Lu Yao said happily, seeing that Wang Jin seemed in pretty good shape.
"Sis, you’re really incredible, you actually did it. Earlier, I really wanted to help you, but my legs wouldn’t move." Wang Jin said while massaging her own thigh.
She came over, every step not easy.
"As long as you keep training, you can do what I did, maybe even better," Lu Yao smiled slightly, heading for the basket she had thrown aside before the counterattack.
Currently, both she and Wang Jin needed a lot of hydration.
Luckily, they weren’t too far from their camp now, they should be able to return within an hour.
"Have some water," Lu Yao handed water to Wang Jin, then looked around.
If there were more wild beasts now, they really wouldn’t have a way to fight back.
Wang Jin drank part of it and then handed the water back to Lu Yao.
"Sis, what do we do now, rest for a bit and head back to camp, or stay here overnight?" Wang Jin felt it was unrealistic for her to carry those beasts back.
After all, she could barely walk, let alone have the energy to carry them back to camp?
"Rest for a bit and go back, although it’s getting cooler at night, it’s still better not to spend the night outside whenever possible," Lu Yao said after drinking some water.
"Moreover, we’re not far from camp, we can get there in at most an hour. It’s not even three o’clock now, so I’ll carry one back first, then come back and skin them." Lu Yao shared her plan, as it was unrealistic to bring back all the beasts, getting two would be great.
The rest can be collected the next day if still there, or left as food for other beasts.
Wang Jin bit her lip, feeling useless.
Lu Yao not only could counter-kill, but could also carry one back.
The gap, that’s the gap.
Earlier she thought she was impressive, now thinking back, her face turned red.
"Come on, let’s do some stretching to relax the thigh muscles." Saying it, Lu Yao immediately started stretching.
After resting another dozen minutes, Lu Yao picked up one of the beasts.
Wang Jin struggled to follow behind Lu Yao, holding an axe.
"Sis, what do you call these beasts?" Wang Jin asked, as she didn’t participate in the kill, so she didn’t get a point notification.
"Raccoon Monkey," Lu Yao came up with a name.
"These Raccoon Monkeys are really vengeful, chasing us for so long," Wang Jin thought back to the day’s desperate sprint, still feeling a lingering fear.
"Indeed, best to avoid them in the future." Lu Yao also felt these creatures were too vengeful, after getting hit by Wang Jin’s slingshot, they all mobilized to chase them for so long.
Other predatory animals weren’t so persistent.
Casually chatting, the two returned to the camp in less than an hour.
Back at the camp, Wang Jin just collapsed onto the bed.
Lu Yao rested for a dozen minutes and then went out alone.
There were still seven Raccoon Monkey pelts to skin, and she had to carry one back as a food reserve.
But Lu Yao didn’t expect that not long after she left, a wild beast appeared near the camp.
