Lingering Passion: Mr. Sutton Wants to be Your Male Lead!-Chapter 205: Long Time No See
The bodyguard’s words instantly chased away the remnants of Silas Sutton’s sleepiness.
Silas Sutton opened his eyes, his gaze fierce, "Where are they?"
The bodyguard said, "At the place where Kenneth Grant is being held."
Silas Sutton said coldly, "Keep an eye on them. I’ll be there shortly."
Bodyguard, "Yes."
After hanging up the phone, Silas Sutton put down his cell and was about to get up when he sensed the gaze beside him. He turned and his thin lips curled into a smile, "Did I wake you?"
Stella Grant’s red lips moved, "My dad’s been kidnapped?"
Silas Sutton’s phone had good soundproofing, but the bedroom was too quiet, and they were too close to each other.
Looking at Stella Grant’s serious eyes, Silas Sutton was silent for a few seconds before he decided not to lie, "Yes."
Stella Grant drew breath, "Is it someone from the Sutton Family’s main branch?"
Silas Sutton pressed his tongue to one side of his cheek, "Hmm."
Stella Grant, "I want to go with you."
Without thinking, Silas Sutton frowned and replied, "No."
Stella Grant, "Silas Sutton."
Silas Sutton said, "The Sutton Family is not as simple as you think, and the methods of the main branch are even more..."
Before Silas Sutton could finish, Stella Grant interrupted him, "Aren’t you here?"
Silas Sutton was stumped by her words, raising his eyebrows lightly.
Stella Grant’s lips curled up, "With you around, what am I afraid of?"
Silas Sutton was amused by her, leaning down to hold her chin, "Stella Grant, you’ll stop at nothing to get what you want."
Stella Grant’s neck tilted slightly, her red lips moving, "Did I succeed in getting what I wanted?"
Silas Sutton looked into her eyes and said deeply after more than ten seconds, "If the third brother asks who you are, what will you say?"
Stella Grant, "I’ll tell the truth, I’m your girlfriend."
Silas Sutton tightened his grip on her chin, "Stella, I’ve always had countless scandals around me. Do you think being labeled as a girlfriend will protect you?"
Stella Grant pursed her lips, "Then you tell me, what is my identity?"
Silas Sutton’s eyes darkened, "Fiancée."
Stella Grant furrowed her brows in silence.
Silas Sutton, "If you don’t say that, then don’t come with me. I don’t want to have to go to the funeral parlor in a few days because of this trip."
Silas Sutton’s expression was serious, clearly not lying.
Stella Grant stared at his face for a while, not noticing any flaws, she agreed, "Fine, I’ll do as you say."
After Stella Grant spoke, Silas Sutton released his hold on her chin and turned to get dressed, "Go freshen up."
Stella Grant also got out of bed, "Okay."
Stella Grant stepped out of the bedroom, not seeing Silas Sutton smiling triumphantly as he buttoned his shirt behind her back.
Twenty minutes later, the two drove out.
On the way, Silas Sutton called the bodyguard to check on the situation.
The bodyguard responded, "Everything is normal, the third young master just went in a while ago."
Silas Sutton, "Okay."
After ending the call, Silas Sutton looked at Stella Grant beside him, grasping her hand he said, "He’s fine, don’t worry."
Stella Grant looked down at their clasped hands, distractedly responding, "Good, as long as he’s okay."
Silas Sutton chuckled lightly, "You don’t seem very concerned about your uncle’s wellbeing?"
Stella Grant raised her eyes to Silas Sutton and spoke honestly, "I care, but the feelings are complex."
Silas Sutton pinched her fingertip, "Don’t think too much, blood ties, especially those with over a decade of good memories, are better alive than dead. Even if you hate him to your core while he’s alive, if he truly dies, you’ll be even more upset."
Stella Grant, "You’re quite perceptive."
Silas Sutton smiled faintly, "Not necessarily a good thing, someone like this..."
No real feelings.
Cold and indifferent.
Except for what he cares about, everything else is like stagnant water to him, unable to stir any waves.
When the car arrived at the address sent by the bodyguard, it was two hours later.
The destination was a villa in the suburbs. The two got out of the car, one on each side, and a bodyguard immediately ran over to speak to Silas Sutton.
"President Sutton."
Silas Sutton’s face was expressionless, "Hmm."
The bodyguard said, "Do you need us to go in with you?"
Silas Sutton glanced at him, "No, wait outside the door. I’m going in as a guest, not for a fight."
Bodyguard, "Yes."
A moment later, Silas Sutton took Stella Grant into the villa.
As soon as they entered, a bodyguard blocked their way.
"Who are you? This isn’t a place where you can enter."
"Leave immediately."
Just as the bodyguard finished speaking, Silas Sutton glanced at him and without a word, kicked him in the abdomen.
The bodyguard wasn’t prepared for Silas Sutton’s sudden move, and was instantly kicked more than a meter away. As he gathered himself to call for help, Silas Sutton strode to him and asked coldly, "Where’s Miles Sutton?"
Hearing Silas Sutton’s words, the bodyguard was momentarily stunned.
Silas Sutton looked down at him, "Mute?"
The bodyguard, sensing Silas Sutton’s ill intentions, dared not utter another word.
Silas Sutton scoffed, withdrew his gaze from him, and continued forward.
After walking a few steps, a man suddenly appeared at the end of the cobblestone path.
The man was wearing a white Chinese suit, his eyes sparkling like stars, with a sickly melancholy expression. Holding a handkerchief, before he spoke, he covered his mouth and coughed twice.
After catching his breath, he looked at Silas Sutton with a weak smile and said, "Fourth brother, long time no see."
