Lingering Passion: Mr. Sutton Wants to be Your Male Lead!-Chapter 161: Living Together
Silas Sutton’s words carried a double meaning, not about the bedroom, but about identity.
He was reminding Stella Grant that rather than the two of them living together with unclear intentions, it would be better to give each other a legitimate status.
Stella met his gaze, pretending not to understand, "Thank you, President Sutton."
After speaking, Stella picked up the suitcase Silas brought and stepped inside.
Once inside the room, Stella squatted on the floor and started unpacking the suitcase. Silas leaned against the doorframe, a slight smile playing on his lips, feeling something fill his chest.
During dinner, Aunt Adler, as always, prepared many dishes from Brynnfield for Stella. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Stella thanked her sincerely, bringing a wide smile to Aunt Adler’s face.
After dinner, Stella returned to her bedroom early to rest. Silas sat in the living room scrolling through his phone when Aunt Adler approached and quietly inquired, "Have you decided?"
Silas raised an eyebrow, feigning ignorance, "Decided what?"
Aunt Adler glared at him playfully, "You brought her home and still haven’t decided?"
Silas scratched his eyebrow with his fingertip, "I simply brought her home, that’s all."
Aunt Adler asked, "Don’t you have any other intentions?"
Silas stretched out his long legs, a smile on his lips as he openly admitted, "I do."
Aunt Adler understood immediately, "And she doesn’t?"
Silas replied, "Aunt Adler, she recently went through a breakup, and her family has faced many upheavals. It’s unrealistic to expect her to jump into a new relationship immediately."
Aunt Adler didn’t know about all the things happening in Stella’s life, and she was momentarily taken aback, sighing softly, "This girl has it just as hard as you."
Silas chuckled, "What’s so hard about my life?"
Aunt Adler didn’t respond to his remark, instead lowering her voice further, "Does she have any feelings for you?"
Silas’s eyes glinted mischievously, "Why don’t you ask her?"
Silas’s true emotions were deeply hidden, and Aunt Adler couldn’t read them even after watching him for a long while. Finally, she pursed her lips and said, "Fine, I’ll ask."
Even though she said she would ask, Aunt Adler didn’t approach the topic directly.
With Stella just having moved in, Aunt Adler was afraid of scaring her.
Upstairs, Stella tossed and turned in the main bedroom, unable to sleep.
The whole room was filled with Silas’s scent, and even though Aunt Adler had redecorated it, his scent permeated the air.
Silas’s fragrance was quite unique, not the typical crisp pine scent of many elites, but a blend of fruit and whiskey.
How to describe it? It was undeniably intoxicating.
The kind that irresistibly draws you in.
Stella’s thoughts were wandering with the room’s aroma when her phone on the bedside table suddenly vibrated twice.
Stella reached over and picked up the phone, where a message popped up: Interesting, no wonder Manager Grant wouldn’t cooperate with me for even ten million.
Stella’s brows knitted lightly.
That person again.
As before, Stella took a screenshot and forwarded it to Silas, along with a message: Do you know who he is?
After sending the message, there was no response from Silas’s end.
Over twenty minutes later, there was a knock on her bedroom door.
At this hour, there was no need to guess who it might be.
Stella paused for a moment, then got up to open the door.
As the door opened, Silas was standing there, wearing a bathrobe, steam still emanating off him. He spoke in a low voice, "I was just showering."
This was his explanation for not responding to the message promptly.
Stella held the door, showing no intention of letting Silas in, as she directly asked, "Do you know who the person sending the messages is?"
Silas answered honestly, "I have some suspects, but I’m not sure."
Stella asked, "A business rival or...?"
Silas took half a step forward, bracing one hand on the doorframe, laughing quietly, "Are you worried about me?"
Stella pressed her lips together, kept silent for a long time, then raised her head slightly to meet Silas’s eyes, asking, "Silas Sutton, I’m really curious, what do you like about me?"
Stella asked directly, causing Silas to suddenly smile, "If I tell you, will you believe me?"
