Limitless Evolution: I'm The New Dragon God?-Chapter 38: Sacred Sun Dragon
Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Sacred Sun Dragon
Grakar witnessed his lord’s miraculous magic firsthand and was amazed. Though his lord seemed weak, he held incredible potential, just like a true dragon.
From there, Ryu and Grakar headed back to the same banyan tree where the Sun Crow had lived.
Ryu, now in his human form, climbed through the aerial roots like an agile monkey, while Grakar stood in awe. He hadn’t even known his lord could transform into a human as well.
His eyes were filled with disbelief.
"What exactly is the identity of my lord? Sometimes he acts weak, other times he feels overwhelmingly mysterious. I can’t fathom his origin."
On the other hand, Ryu finally reached the top, where nestled inside the tree’s core lay a glowing, shimmering golden egg.
At first glance, one might assume it was the crow’s egg. But this egg was far from normal. It was nearly the size of a basketball, and part of its shell had already been broken and eaten.
Judging by the signs, the crow had been in the process of consuming it.
"Could it be that the crow was originally ordinary, but evolved after eating this?" Ryu guessed, struck by a terrifying possibility.
And when the system activated its basic appraisal, everything became clear.
[ Sacred Sun Dragon - Level 1 ]
[ Extractions Available ]
"Sacred Sun Dragon?" Ryu’s eyebrows rose in disbelief.
But it was real. The texture of the shell, the warmth in the air, everything confirmed its authenticity.
[ Extractable Bloodline: Sacred Sun Dragon (S) ]
[ Extractable Skills: None ]
Ryu nearly collapsed from shock upon seeing the grade of the bloodline.
"Ba-dump. Ba-dump."
His heart pounded uncontrollably. His fingers trembled as he took in the reality before him.
His earlier guess had been correct. Just a small taste of the egg’s fluid had triggered the ordinary Crow’s evolution path.
He steadied his breathing, then looked around cautiously. Finding no one nearby except for Grakar below, he let out a breath of relief.
"An S-Rank bloodline is almost the stuff of legends. Just where did that crow find something like this?" he wondered silently.
No answer came to mind, but instead of dwelling on it, he chuckled.
"Oh well... Since it presented itself right to my face, I’ll just gratefully take it."
Without wasting another second, he began extracting the bloodline. The egg was already broken, its life gone. So there was no reason for guilt, only a sense of sympathy for what had been lost.
More importantly, extracting this bloodline would allow him to replicate it unlimited times. The glitch in the system was still active, and he had not forgotten about it.
The dream of building a loyal army of dragons no longer seemed impossible. It was finally within reach.
Thud!
Holding onto the root, Ryu finally landed on the ground.
The moonlight pierced through the branches above, casting a silver glow over his smiling figure.
He was happy. So happy that he wanted to scream. But he held back, not wanting to attract any unwanted danger to them.
Grakar scratched his head.
"My lord, you look happy. Did you find something good?"
Ryu smiled mysteriously but offered no answer.
Instead, he began walking forward and said,
"Let’s find a place to rest, Grakar. After that, we’ll continue the hunt."
The forest quieted as the two made their way deeper into the woods. The wind rustled the leaves with a calming hush, while fireflies flickered like living stars between the trees.
Eventually, they came upon a small clearing beside a stream, where the moonlight reflected gently off the water’s surface. It was serene, untouched. A rare moment of peace in the wild.
Ryu settled near a smooth rock, letting out a breath as he leaned back, his dragon form shrinking slightly to rest more comfortably.
"This should be a safe place for fusion," he muttered.
Grakar sniffed the air cautiously and circled once before lying down on the soft grass.
"It seems safe here, my lord. I will remain alert in case anything approaches."
Ryu gave a small nod, but his mind wasn’t at ease.
He glanced at the Archive:

[ Bloodline: ☀️Sacred Sun Dragon ☀️ ]
[ Grade: S ]
[ Warning: Fusion with Host body will require Self Fusion process. Risk Level – Extreme. Success Rate – 27% ]
Ryu narrowed his eyes at the warning.
’Only 27% success, huh... Of course it won’t be easy.’
’Dracina, is there no way to increase the chance of success?’ he asked mentally.
[ There is only one method: increase the Host’s current bloodline level. Doing so will improve fusion compatibility with the Sun Dragon. ]
Ryu sighed. So you’re basically saying no. Right?
[ Incorrect. I have provided a logical solution, Host. ]
Dracina’s tone remained sweet and supportive, but Ryu couldn’t help but feel like she was enjoying his frustration just a little too much. Then again, maybe it was just his imagination. He shook the thought off.
Focus. He needed a real answer. A way to close the overwhelming gap between his current bloodline and the divine one he had just acquired.
His gaze landed on the Sun Crow (D) bloodline stored within the Fusion Lab.
A sudden idea came to his mind.
’My current bloodline is at D-Rank... If I could upgrade it to C-Rank, that should increase the chances of success.’
He clenched his clawed hand, realization sparking like lightning. That might be the key.
Typically fusion between low-rank bloodlines was easy and quick. But the higher the gap between the subjects, the harder it became.
An S-Rank bloodline wasn’t just powerful; it was near-mythical. It carried history, lineage, and sacred mana. Trying to force that into an unrefined vessel would be asking for failure.
But if he could shorten the distance between the two, the odds would swing in his favor.
It was a risky idea, but not impossible.
He stared at the Sun Crow bloodline and said,
"Alright, let’s do this. It’s now or never."
