Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster-Chapter 89 - 88: You Should Call Me Uncle Too
During the day, Nathan Foster was busy with military district affairs and couldn’t personally tutor South Grant, so he left her in the office to review the papers from the previous days’ tutoring.
After being guided by Nathan Foster, South Grant found that the exercises which she previously regarded as formidable seemed not so difficult anymore.
The papers that originally required a whole morning to solve were finished by South Grant in just over an hour.
Seeing that it was still early, South Grant suddenly felt the advantage of waking up early.
She used to think that on Saturdays and Sundays, waking up late ruins the morning, getting up early makes you foolish all day, so it’s best not to get up at all.
Now getting up early, she even ran two laps in the morning and felt extraordinarily energetic.
South Grant thought that she hadn’t visited Seth these days. She didn’t know how Seth was getting along with the psychologist Vincent, so she decided to make a trip to the hospital to check on him.
South Grant looked at the car parked outside. The car keys were in Nathan Foster’s office, so she took them temporarily and drove the car away.
When South Grant arrived at the hospital, she went to the top floor and heard from the on-duty doctor that Harold Foster had been pushed outside by a nurse to enjoy the sun.
South Grant went directly to Seth’s room. She didn’t hear any sound from outside the ward, so she thought there was no one inside and she pushed the door open.
It was only after entering the room that she discovered Vincent was also there.
At that moment, Vincent and Seth were sitting in front of a big drawing board, doing something unknown.
South Grant walked over, and neither of them noticed her.
She looked down at the drawing board. Vincent and Seth were both holding brushes, drawing some strange-looking patterns on it.
Vincent knew South Grant came in, and seeing her standing by, he put away his brush and said:
"Seth, let’s stop here today. I’ll come another day to continue with you."
Seth looked up at Vincent and nodded. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Then Seth saw South Grant, and his smile seemed to overflow from his eyes.
Seeing Seth’s smile, South Grant felt a warm sensation in her heart.
Even though she had been betrayed, when she saw Seth’s smile, she still believed there was warmth in the world.
South Grant accompanied Seth for lunch, and afterward, when he wanted to rest, she went to find Vincent.
She wanted to understand Seth’s current situation.
"He doesn’t reject me, he thinks I’m your good friend, and it’s apparent he relies heavily on you. Every time I visit, he takes out his usual sketches to share with me. Those are his treasures, and I can understand his inner world more deeply from them."
Vincent talked about recent events, and South Grant was very surprised to hear.
Seth had accepted Vincent so quickly.
"This kid has no guards against people related to you, but outsiders shouldn’t even think about touching his inner world. He never cooperates when the nurses come to change his dressings, and he’s extremely guarded. I don’t know the root cause, so every time I come, I interact with him through art, trying to understand his inner world."
South Grant felt genuinely grateful hearing Vincent’s words.
The awards in Vincent’s office surely weren’t something an ordinary person could achieve.
"Dean Vance, thank you so much."
Vincent glanced at South Grant, "Why call me Dean Vance, makes it sound like an old man. I’m two years older than your uncle, just call me uncle like he does."
Before South Grant could say anything, a voice sounded.
"Who are you trying to make a move on?"
Vincent looked at the newcomer and chuckled twice, "Got caught by you, huh."
