Chapter 66: Chapter 65: This Is a Deadly Question

"Bro, there’s only a month left until the college entrance exams. Let me help you review your lessons during this time," Fiona Grant said in a conciliatory tone.

"No need, thank you," South Grant replied calmly.

"Bro, there’s no need for politeness between us. We’re family," Fiona said, glancing at Nathan Foster, hoping to leave a good impression in front of him.

"I believe the safe distance between people should be two meters to prevent getting stabbed in the back. I also think the safe distance between us should be two meters more," South leaned back in his seat, speaking nonchalantly.

Fiona was smart enough to catch the underlying meaning in South’s words.

Fiona’s face flushed, muttering, "Bro, I don’t understand what you mean."

"It means I can politely explain things to you, or I can bluntly tell you what rules are, so in the future, don’t try to be clever in front of me," South’s voice was slightly cold, showing no consideration for Fiona’s feelings.

If it were someone else, even if South didn’t like them, he wouldn’t be so sharply reproachful.

But with Fiona, he had no desire to deal with it even for a moment.

Unless you’ve experienced that bone-chilling cold, you can’t understand the pain that seeps into your very bones.

Fiona was driven to tears by South’s words, feeling incredibly mortified.

Nathan and the driver were both present, yet South still spoke to her like that!

"Bro, why are you like this? I clearly haven’t done anything to hurt you, yet you keep treating me this harshly. If you dislike me so much, I’ll just get out of the car. Would that make you happy?" Fiona felt utterly wronged.

"Stop the car," South commanded in a deep voice.

Ivan Keller glanced at Nathan beside him, and when he saw Nathan remaining silent, he pulled over.

"You can get out now," South said to Fiona.

Fiona stared at South in shock, completely motionless about getting out of the car.

South gave a cold chuckle, finding her expression exceedingly funny.

"Next time, don’t say things you can’t do. If grievances could be vocalized, what about those who can’t speak?"

Fiona: "..."

The car slowly moved forward, with Nathan sitting quietly in the front the entire time.

Upon arriving at The Grant Family’s home, Fiona felt humiliated, not even saying goodbye as she hurried inside.

After getting out of the car, the window of the passenger seat rolled down, and Nathan called out to South.

"I’m curious, why have you changed so much all of a sudden?" Nathan rested his hand on the car door.

"Probably just puberty syndrome," South shrugged.

"Is keeping a two-meter distance from others also part of your puberty syndrome?" Nathan raised an eyebrow.

"Depends on the person." It’s not the same for everyone.

"What do you think the appropriate safe distance between us should be then?"

South realized answering this could be a trap.

"You’re my uncle, so naturally, it’s different from others," South gave a noncommittal answer.

"How different?" Nathan seemed unusually idle today.

"With you, uncle, maybe minus ten centimeters," South thought for a moment seriously before answering.

Minus ten centimeters, the distance just right between two hearts, this way it’s just right, into the heart.

It also meant he was being sincere with him, with nothing to hide.

"Ten centimeters?" Nathan looked up, giving her a casual glance, his onyx eyes showing a hint of disdain, "Not nearly enough."

After saying this, Nathan rolled up the window, and Ivan drove away.

Leaving South utterly bewildered.

Ten centimeters? Not nearly enough?

What does that mean?

South went back both baffled and contemplative, and just as he was about to fall asleep, he suddenly understood what Nathan meant!

Damn!

There you go with your innuendo again!

Minus ten centimeters...

Seems like it really isn’t just ten centimeters...
