Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster-Chapter 54 - 53: There’s Blood on Your Pants
Chester Lynch was picked up from the police station by his family early the next morning.
Chester hadn’t slept all night, and his eyes were filled with bloodshot lines.
The person who came to pick up Chester was the Lynch Family’s butler, who had once served with Old Master Lynch in the military. Even division-level officers would show him respect.
When he came to the police station, everyone there was bowing and flattering him.
"Butler Sawyer, it’s not that we intentionally held Young Master Lynch, it’s just that yesterday..."
At this moment, Butler Sawyer raised his hand, indicating he didn’t want to hear any more noise, and the officer fell silent.
Butler Sawyer then approached Chester with a kindly smile and said:
"Young Master, let’s go home."
Chester’s expression was cold. "Where is South Grant? Where did you take him?"
Chester didn’t know what had happened last night.
Nathan Foster had already silenced any talk about South Grant, and those on duty had no idea what had occurred the previous night.
"Maybe his family posted bail for him." The officer didn’t know and could only suggest this.
Only then did Chester leave with Butler Sawyer, but instead of returning to the Lynch Family’s home, he went to the Grant Family’s house.
Butler Sawyer couldn’t make decisions for Chester, so he had the driver follow him.
Chester was still wearing the sports uniform from the day before; because of the fight, he was looking quite disheveled.
Early in the morning, when Chester arrived at the Grant Family’s house, Felicity Grant was just about to leave and was startled to see him.
"Chester, why are you..."
"Where’s South? Has he come back?" Chester interrupted Felicity, urgently asking about South Grant’s whereabouts.
"No, he got into a fight at the sports ground yesterday and was taken away by the police, wasn’t he?" Felicity was puzzled. South should have been with Chester, so why didn’t Chester know where South was?
"Didn’t your family bail him out?" Chester furrowed his brows.
Felicity’s face showed a hint of embarrassment. She tried to explain:
"Chester, my grandfather has a heart condition. If he found out about South’s situation, it could lead to serious illness. My uncle said that South’s repeated mistakes meant he needed a lesson so he’d change in the future, and it’s for his own good."
Upon hearing that the Grant Family hadn’t bailed South out, Chester realized South must still be at the police station or had been sent to a juvenile detention center.
As Chester turned to leave, Felicity reached out to grab him.
"Chester, why are you looking for him? You know he..."
Felicity bit her lip and stopped speaking, but Chester understood.
It was no different than what Felicity had said to him at the dinner party before.
At this moment, Chester felt guilty towards South. If he hadn’t invited South to the game yesterday, South wouldn’t have been in this situation. Ultimately, it was Chester who got South involved.
"Miss Grant, I suggest you mind your own business. As for my matters, you don’t need to worry."
Chester said expressionlessly, then turned to leave. In the corner of his eye, he noticed a bloodstain on Felicity’s white pants.
Chester frowned. Even though he was displeased with Felicity, he wouldn’t ignore someone injured and bleeding.
"Are you hurt?"
"Huh?" Felicity looked confused. "No, I’m not."
"There’s blood on your pants," Chester reminded her.
Felicity looked down at the blood on her white pants, and her face blushed as if it was painted with rosy hues.
