Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster-Chapter 50 - 49: Can You Stand Up?
The tall, strong man saw someone coming in and aggressively asked Nathan Foster.
"Who are you? Who let you come..." Before he could finish, he screamed tragically, and his entire body flew like a kite with a broken string, crashing against the wall before falling to the ground, clutching his abdomen, unable to move.
Nathan Foster, filled with a menacing aura, kicked him down and didn’t care about his condition. He bent down to look at South Grant.
"Can you stand up?" Nathan Foster asked her in a deep voice.
"...Yes," South Grant replied, supporting herself on the ground, trying to stand.
Soon after, she saw Nathan Foster extending a hand to her.
South Grant paused for about three seconds, then placed her hand in Nathan Foster’s palm.
With just a slight effort, Nathan Foster pulled her up.
However, South Grant had exhausted all her strength when strangling that person earlier. As soon as she stood, her legs weakened, and she almost fell.
Nathan Foster was right beside her, one hand supporting her elbow, and the other instinctively wrapping around her waist.
At this moment, someone rushed in from outside, and upon seeing the scene inside, was scared out of their wits.
"F-F...Commander Foster..." He couldn’t even string together a complete sentence.
This man was the chief of the police station, who received a call from Ivan Keller in the middle of the night. After understanding the situation, he was almost scared witless.
The subordinates had actually arrested Nathan Foster’s nephew? And were about to send him to the juvenile correctional facility!
He dared not delay for even a moment and rushed over immediately.
Unexpectedly, upon arrival, he witnessed such a scene.
He felt like this was the end of his career as the chief.
He knew about the recent incident of some teenagers arrested for fighting, but as the chief, he couldn’t oversee everything, so he delegated it to his subordinates.
Unexpectedly, these blind fools had somehow pinned the blame on Nathan Foster’s nephew!
Damn it!
If I’m going down, I’m dragging you all with me!
"Commander Foster, there’s a misunderstanding. This matter was handled by a Captain Liu at the station. I’ve already called him, and he’s on his way." He spoke while wiping the sweat off his forehead.
"But rest assured, Commander, I will thoroughly investigate this matter!"
The chief glanced at the two people on the ground. One was huddled in the corner, twitching, but seemed alive.
The other lay on the ground, eyes wide open, whites more visible than pupils, face blue, with evident strangulation marks on his neck, very clearly dead.
He recognized that these two were not police officers at a glance.
Nathan Foster saw South Grant furrowing her brows, cold sweat breaking out on her temple, knowing she was enduring pain.
"Leave the one in the corner alive. Detain all officers involved in this matter. If today’s incident leaks out, consider your position finished!"
With that, Nathan Foster lifted South Grant and strode out briskly.
South Grant was already at the end of her rope, completely out of strength.
Nathan Foster’s pajamas carried the same scent as in his previous life, a distinct odor.
To South Grant, it used to smell like scum and perversion.
But for some reason, now it carried a refreshing fragrance.
