Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster-Chapter 26: Driving Off Without Warning!
Harold Foster curled his lip, suddenly recalling something. He took a necklace out from under the pillow and handed it to South Grant.
"You kid, no matter how poor you are, you shouldn’t sell what your mother left you! If your uncle hadn’t happened to see it, wouldn’t your mom’s belongings have ended up in someone else’s hands?"
South Grant was very surprised to see it was his own necklace.
But also very relieved!
Luckily, it was found.
Turns out it was Nathan Foster who took it away!
So this is how he found out the truth that his mother was Stella Foster!
His grandfather recognized this necklace, so Nathan Foster went to investigate him.
How come he’s such an actor?
What nonsense about being poor and selling a necklace?
Bah, drama king!
"Grandpa, it’s a little misunderstanding." South Grant could only make this excuse for now.
Harold Foster gave the necklace to South Grant, then solemnly said:
"No matter what, you can’t lose this necklace again. Your situation in The Grant Family, your uncle has told me all about it. I’ll have him bring you and your siblings over, and then we’ll see the show from The Grant Family!"
When South Grant heard that Harold Foster wanted to intervene in The Grant Family’s affairs, his heart tightened. He then said:
"Grandpa, I hope you won’t get involved in The Grant Family’s matters. I have my own way to take back everything that belongs to my father."
The main thing is, South Grant doesn’t want to have all of himself controlled by Nathan Foster.
To him, Nathan Foster is still a mystery. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
When it’s unclear, South Grant won’t let all his weaknesses be controlled by Nathan Foster.
Harold Foster looked at South Grant, then with a gratified expression, patted her shoulder.
"Stella has a good son, Grandpa is very pleased! Alright, Grandpa promises not to interfere with your affairs and lets you take back everything yourself."
After South Grant finished speaking, he glanced sideways at Nathan Foster, who stood nearby.
"Grandpa, my uncle hasn’t agreed yet."
South Grant just wanted to force Nathan Foster to say he wouldn’t interfere in his affairs.
South Grant had witnessed how perversely controlling Nathan Foster could be.
Nathan Foster glanced at her lightly, her thoughts clearly understood.
"I’m not interested."
At this time, a nurse came in again to remind Harold Foster that he should rest, so he reluctantly let Nathan Foster take South Grant out.
As she left, South Grant was still thinking that an uncle might not be a blood uncle, but a grandfather is definitely a blood grandfather.
That blood relationship is unchangeable.
The intimacy in blood ties can’t be swayed by any factors.
Meeting Harold Foster for the first time, she astonishingly felt no generational gap or sense of unfamiliarity.
It seems, this is the power of blood relations.
And with Nathan Foster...
Forget it, why should I compare myself to a brute when I’m doing just fine on my own.
Sitting on the long bench in the corridor outside, South Grant looked at the necklace in her hand.
The knot on the cord was undone. It was a Jade Token pendant. She wondered what it had to do with her biological father.
Then Nathan Foster, having finished speaking with the doctor, came over.
Seeing South Grant holding and looking at that Jade Token, he approached and said blandly:
"Keep it well, next time you won’t have such good luck in finding it back."
South Grant recalled Nathan Foster telling Harold Foster that she sold the Jade Token because she was short of money. He really knew how to make excuses.
"Even a three-year-old knows that lying makes your nose grow long, yet some shameless people are addicted to lying."
"Thanks, I’ve got one." Nathan Foster said, giving her a sidelong glance. "Maybe you should try it, lie a bit more, maybe it will grow, help with future check-ups."
After Nathan Foster said this, he just walked straight past her, leaving the place.
"???" Left a bewildered South Grant, who took a while to react, then: "!!!"
Damn it, couldn’t you at least give a heads up before starting something!
I said lying makes your nose grow, who said anything about a bird with you!
And you still said you’ve got one!
So what if you have a bird!
I have a bird’s nest, as many as I want!
