Lewd System: Every Scream and Moan is EXP-Chapter 224: Tournament Fest
Right now it was 4 PM.
Roxana was drenched in sweat. She had been fighting for hours against Bruise Lee. Well, that was the name Jax had given to his first summon.
The same martial artist he had killed and absorbed. And honestly, the bastard was ridiculously powerful.
Unlike Harry, the summoner from Jax’s sister’s world, there was a massive difference between their two classes. Harry could pull off multiple summons at once while Jax had a much worse limit in that regard.
But Jax held one crucial advantage. His summons retained everything from their original selves. Power. Battle experience. Stats. Everything except their memories.
Harry’s summons looked more buffed on the surface, but their bodies were merely shadowy copies of the original. Jax’s summons possessed the exact same physical form they had in life.
And what truly made his skill overpowered was the cooldown. If his summon got defeated, he could bring it back after just two hours.
This was the third time Roxana had defeated Bruise Lee. She had overpowered him each round, but it was still frustrating as hell to keep beating that annoying summon over and over again.
She turned her attention to the professor, who was currently sparring with Elira.
Well, sparring was a generous word. He was humiliating her. And the worst part was that Elira was literally taking every hit without losing herself.
Roxana watched Jax holding two swords in his hands with natural ease.
’What else is this man hiding?’
She started counting in her head. He was a dark mage who could summon the undead. He was a literal brute in terms of physical strength.
His inhuman abilities in both swordsmanship and speed were already well documented.
And now he was dual wielding like he had been born with those blades in his hands.
Then her eyes shifted to Elira.
The vampire princess spat blood onto the practice ground. Her lips were stained red, and more blood was constantly flowing from the corners of her mouth down to her chin.
She was not only getting beaten by Jax but also fighting against her own exhaustion. Her mana pool had been completely drained. Their training session had now exceeded four hours.
But that stubborn girl was still fighting back. She was using whatever tiny amount of mana her core could recover in the brief gaps between attacks while Jax simply played with her like a cat toying with a wounded mouse.
Roxana heard Jax speak.
"I see you are still able to breathe, so that means..."
There was a pause.
Roxana felt a spark of happiness. She was certain the next words would be some form of appreciation. Or at least acknowledgment.
’I’m pretty sure he’ll say she passed. I don’t expect real appreciation to come out of that mouth anyway.’
She looked at Elira, who wiped her mouth to clean the blood. There was still burning rage in those crimson eyes. Her hand was raised, preparing defensive magic.
Roxana was confused by the reaction. But Elira understood perfectly what Jax meant by that pause. After four hours of this torture, she had learned to read him well.
Then Jax completed his sentence with a devil’s smile. "So that means I can beat you more. I mean, train you more."
Roxana’s jaw dropped.
"Professor, you are going too far! At this rate she will actually die!"
Jax responded without even a moment of consideration. "It’s better than crying and regretting when the real battle comes."
And with those words, he charged at Elira.
Elira desperately tried to cast her magic. A faint blue light flickered on her palm for just a moment before fading into nothing.
But Jax was closing the distance faster than her exhausted body could react. When one of his swords, the same blade gifted by the goddess, reached her face, she shut her eyes and braced for impact.
But only a dull jab hit her skull.
Jax had used the handle of his sword to knock her head.
"Still weak." She opened her eyes upon hearing those words and rubbed her throbbing head. Her gaze carried a death glare aimed directly at him.
But she didn’t even have enough energy left to maintain it. In the next moment, her body simply gave up.
She was collapsing from total exhaustion. Her eyes closed again as her legs buckled beneath her.
But once again, Jax was the reason they opened.
He had caught her before she hit the ground. Seeing her legs shaking uncontrollably, unable to support her weight, he lifted her up in a princess carry.
Then he said calmly. "But I guess you passed."
Hearing those words, Elira finally released the breath she had been holding. His words weren’t exactly appreciating. But coming from his mouth, they meant everything.
By now Roxana had rushed over to them. Her voice was filled with frustration.
"Have you gone completely nuts, Professor?"
Jax ignored her entirely and continued carrying Elira toward the exit of the practice arena.
Roxana followed close behind, her anger rising. "Don’t you understand what would have happened if she actually died just because you were flexing your power in front of her?"
Jax remained unbothered. "She didn’t die. Well, at least not this time. So shut up."
"Didn’t die?" Roxana’s voice cracked with disbelief. "You still don’t get it, do you?"
Jax stopped walking and turned to face her. "Listen, Roxana. Don’t teach me what to do."
His eyes carried something distant. Something that had seen far worse than a brutal training session.
"Besides, when death has brushed past you even once, the small things fall away. You learn to gamble your fear for a chance at what actually matters."
Then his expression shifted back to its usual casual cruelty.
"But I think I went too easy on her today. We still have some time left before her match, so I’ll try again later."
Elira, whose head was still spinning from exhaustion, gulped audibly upon hearing those words.
Roxana clenched her fists. "You are the worst and—"
"Can you bring your healing potions and mana potions?" Jax cut her off. "Feed them to her."
Roxana crossed her arms. "I don’t have any left."
Jax tilted his head with a knowing smile. "Don’t lie to me. I saw them in your wardrobe. Right in that container. The one placed just below where you stash your red bra with the black straps."
Roxana’s face began turning red.
Jax continued without mercy. "And those ridiculously girly, teasing little panties right next to it. The ones I’m pretty damn sure are designed to hide absolutely nothing at all."
Roxana’s head looked ready to explode from either anger or embarrassment. Probably both. She cursed him under her breath and stormed off to fetch the potions.
She was too fixated on fleeing due to embarrassment that she forget how dare he peeked at those.
After an hour, the trio had finally made it to the festival.
The main market just outside the academy had been completely transformed. Colorful decorations hung from every stall and lamppost.
The area was now functioning as the official grounds for entertainment and events during the tournament.
Students were managing various stalls and activities alongside local merchants, all working together to showcase the academy’s talents and culture to the visiting nobles and guests.
Jax glanced at the two girls walking beside him.
Roxana had her arms folded tightly across her chest. Her face was incredibly easy to read right now. She was definitely still cursing him internally.
And then there was Elira, now wearing an elegant royal outfit. Jax’s driver had fetched it from her residence while they were training. She walked through the festival crowds as if she owned the entire place.
Jax smiled at both of them. "Why don’t we fill our stomachs first and then explore?"
Neither of them replied.
"Perfect." Jax nodded as if he had received enthusiastic agreement. "I know just the place for that."
After weaving through the crowded streets for a while, they arrived at a food stall that was decorated far better than Jax remembered.
He was genuinely stunned. He could barely recognize the familiar location beneath all the festive improvements.
A student working there greeted them politely and asked what they would like to order.
Jax waved his hand casually. "Just bring us whatever special dish Nyara is cooking today."
The student nodded and hurried off.
Roxana seized the opportunity to ask a question that had clearly been bothering her for some time.
"By the way, Professor. What connection do you have with that woman? The owner of this stall? I’ve seen you with her multiple times now."
Jax turned to her with a dangerous smile. "So you were still stalking me even after my threat."
Roxana’s face went pale with panic. "No, I mean... I just happened to... I wasn’t..."
Her words dissolved into incoherent mumbling.
Some time passed as they enjoyed the food that arrived. Jax had to admit that Nyara had truly outdone herself with the festival menu. The flavors were richer than usual.
Then a woman appeared at their table.
Jax looked up from his bowl. The noodles that were halfway to his mouth slowly slid back down into the broth as his chopsticks went slack.
His eyes widened with genuine confusion.
"Jenny?"
