Jayden hissed, "These crystals are worthless. I’m still where Vaelora left me a week ago.

He tossed the phone away then stood up and took off his shirt in preparation to take a shower.

"Guys, it’s the weekend, where do we go?" Jayden muttered.

"Not going anywhere"

"Me too" Ryan and Tyler objected to Jayden’s proposal.

Jayden raised an eyebrow, "You guys got any plans.

They hesitated before saying, "Nope."

"Naa, none for now."

Jayden narrowed his gaze.

"Hmmm suspicious," Draco whispered in his mind.

Jayden slightly nodded to that, "Well I’m going to a mana-rich zone, no one wants to tag along?"

"I will," baby Draco immediately blazed to his front, eyes gleaming like an innocent kitten.

Jayden took a step back, "Don’t look at me like that, go get prepared."

He nodded and blazed into the bathroom.

Jayden twisted his shoulders, did his set of morning exercises then went to admire his build up in the mirror.

He looked at his short, black, well-arranged hair, his skin was neat and glistening, apart from a single dot that marred his face—probably due to the recent day’s stress.

His chest was rigid, broad, but nothing his ribs couldn’t carry, and his abs were well layered and tough—certainly not the type you’ll need to force into appearing.

He turned right, then left, frowning and leaning into the mirror.

"What’s that?" He strained his eyes before resorting to looking directly at his body."

He touched the region just above his ankle where something purple was.

"Hard, patterned, and practically my skin."

Jayden turned to his roommates, almost shouting excitedly, but his mind was quick to remind him that people were in the next room.

"Guys, I’ve begun growing dragon scales."

"Seriously?" They all rasped, including Draco.

Ryan and Tyler rushed to see,

"But you’re just at B rank, how come now?"

"Yeah, isn’t it supposed to be like mid A rank?

"You’re right," Jayden placed a hand on his cheeks, "I guess it’s cuz im B rank on two cores."

"Maybe!" Ryan muttered.

"Hey, unfuse with me so I can get a better view."

Jayden hissed and said out loud, "idiot, manage the view, if we unfuse, the scales would go off?"

"Huu? What’s that?" Tyler asked.

"Oh, Draco wants us to unfuse."

Ryan pointed at Jayden. "Actually do it, I wanna see how much my pet has grown.

"Hmmm", Jayden hummed. Actually, he was curious too.

’Alright Draco, let’s do it.’

Jayden closed his eyes, and the wind shifted; the dragon scales on his arm vanished just as Draco animated by his side.

"Whoa"

He was about 160 centimetres long, looking less like a cute pet and a bit more like a mature dragon with a long snout, now having two small golden horns and small wings the size of a chicken and a body embedded with crystal clear purple scales

"Yooo, when did you cultivate this much, the guy’s damn fucken big."

Ryan and Tyler stepped backwards until there was nowhere to go, looking at Draco with shocked gazes.

Jayden bent low, patting Draco’s head, "What guys? Don’t wanna play tag anymore?"

Draco let out a soft roar while approaching them slowly.

"Yo, stay right there, don’t come any closer", Tyler screamed, pointing at Draco while pushing backwards into the wall.

"Why? But I want to play!" Draco teased but unfortunately, only Jayden and baby Draco could hear.

Jayden laughed, "Stay put Draco, can’t start arranging this room for the second time this morning."

Draco retreated, coiling its long body around Jayden.

Baby Draco bent low in front of Draco, touching his last string of beard. "Got any explanations Jayden?"

Jayden scoffed, "I’ve told you before, I’m a handsome genius."

Baby Draco hummed, "We’re of the same rank, but he’s twice my size."

Jayden folded his arms, "My mana compatibility is four times yours, don’t compare."

Baby Draco stepped back and transformed into his dragon form, about eighty centimetres long—no horns, not even a trace of wings, just red dragon scales and an incomplete set of teeth.

Both dragons, circled around Jayden.

"It’s my first time seeing a purple dragon, you know", baby Draco’s voice rang in Draco’s head.

"So, I’ve been wanting to ask, how do you think Azure is doing?"

Both dragons sat across from each other.

Little Draco bowed his head, "She’s a tough girl, but if her brothers told on her, then she’s probably behind bars right now."

"Then now’s the time she needs you most, right?"

Baby Draco’s tail dropped, "not looking like this."

"I know you’re secretly plotting to leave for Vaelora yourself, but you had my back, and I got yours, too, big brother. Can’t let you leave for Vaelora yourself."

Baby Draco fell to the floor lifelessly, "You’re top 1 on Vaelora’s wanted list, you know, right?"

Draco shrugged, "This purple Dragon ain’t gonna go down so easily."

Baby Draco lifted his head, "So.. you’re gonna help me?"

"Well, I don’t know what dragon wedding looks like", Jayden jumped into the conversation while patting baby Draco’s head, "But first we’re gonna get you wings, I’m not taking anyone to Vaelora with some baby carrier."

Baby Draco hopped enthusiastically. "Thank you, thank you. You know anywhere with a considerable amount of mana.

Jayden’s mana flared, and he bonded with Draco, then took a quick shower before packing up his bags, "Shall we?"

Baby Draco transformed into his human form and willingly carried Jayden’s bags.

Just before they left Jayden turned to his other roommates with an intense gaze, "We’ll be gone till tomorrow night, you’ll have the space till then, but don’t forget, I know the scent of beast elixa."
