Level Up in Earth Evolution-Chapter 270: Daddy, You Are A Bad Person
Li Xin and others were stunned at the sudden change of Evelyn and them.
However, before they could speak, a loud hum echoed through the sky.
Then without any warning—
Boom!
The sky shattered like a fragile glass, revealing an imposing, massive golden carriage pulled by eight winged white horses.
It descended slowly, radiating a noble and oppressive aura.
Seeing this, Irene’s expression was not good and neither was Lyla happy.
’Dangerous...’ Evelyn, who was in Li Wei’s arms, narrowed her eyes.
Li Wei, however, remained unaware of her thoughts and frowned as he looked at the royal crest on the carriage.
"Miss Irene, is it the crown prince or someone from the royal family?" He inquired, wondering if some trouble would come knocking at his door.
"Humph! It’s just a stupid person; let’s not waste any time talking about it," Irene snorted coldly and didn’t provide any explanation.
Hearing her, Li Wei was speechless but he didn’t care too much, as the old fogey Lucius would handle it.
"Daddy, are we not going out to play anymore?" Evelyn inquired with big pitiful eyes, silently wondering if she should go and kill the dangerous person if they got in her way to play.
Li Wei didn’t know her thoughts and smiled.
"Why would I go back on my word? Of course we will go out to play," he replied, pinching her small nose, not knowing he made the right decision.
It didn’t take too long and Emily arrived.
After this, Li Wei wasted no time and took everyone to a nearby park.
Evelyn originally wanted to explore the city but when she saw a lot of children playing in the park with their parents, she requested to as well.
Li Wei, of course, didn’t refuse and neither did anyone else.
The park was made for everyone to play, even the adults, so Irene, Alice, Lily, Li Xin, and Li Yin were excited.
Lyla, Elva, and Olivia were too happy as Evelyn pulled them together to have fun.
As for Li Wei, he just watched over them with a smile while shooing away people who came to question him. There was no way he had become popular and many thought he might be a hidden hero.
"Shouldn’t you hide your face? In that way, no one would bother you," Mira, who was sitting on his shoulder and licking her paws, spoke.
"Hiding my identity always is not good." Li Wei replied with a shrug.
It was fine to do it once or twice but if he did it frequently, the city lord wouldn’t be happy, not to mention someone from the dark faction could commit a crime and put the blame on him.
Even if there was a good person test and he was proved not guilty, his reputation will take damage.
Not everyone was happy with him after all.
Hearing him, Mira yawned lazily and curiously looked around, not caring about him anymore.
...
"Princess Sylvia, may I know your purpose of visit?" Lucius, the old geezer, inquired with an unhappy look.
"Hehe, it seems Mr. Lucius isn’t happy about my arrival," Sylvia chuckled as she saw his expression.
"Well, I was just bored and came to see the new world. Don’t tell me I can’t do this?" she asked with a pout.
"Princess Sylvia Valeria City only allows people below level 75 to enter freely; if your level is higher, then you must get an authorization letter from the church," Lucius stated, knowing she didn’t have one.
"Humph, humph, this is my kingdom; why do I need a letter to get here and there? Anyway, you deal with that if you want; I am going now." Sylvia snorted unhappily and turned to leave.
But how could the old fogey let her go?
"I am sorry, Princess Sylvia. I can’t allow you to stay here unless you have an authorization letter." He stood in her way, channeling his mana.
Seeing him like this, Sylvia smiled.
"Mr. Lucius, are you sure you can stop me?" she said without displaying any fear.
...
As Evelyn and others continued to play, the time passed silently, and soon it was time for lunch.
Li Wei just took everyone to street stalls where they could buy anything they liked. Unlike Earth, there was no need to worry about food quality and hygiene so it was very safe for kids like Emily and Evelyn.
(Don’t forget to buy for me.) Mira was afraid he would forget her so she reminded him with telepathy.
However, her worries were useless as Li Wei was buying everything he could. Every shop he visited was almost emptied by him.
He was stocking up on everything so if Evelyn craved a certain snack, he could give it to her.
Li Xin and others were speechless by his actions, especially seeing the shop owners almost crying as they couldn’t refuse him because he was rumored to be a hero.
"Giggle! Daddy, you are a bad person," Evelyn laughed when she saw him forcing the shop owner to sell almost everything.
Hearing her, Li Wei rolled his eyes at her but continued buying every type of snack.
With how many foodies were at home, it wouldn’t even last two weeks.
’I hope there are maids who can make snacks,’ he thought to himself as he wondered if Ninon arranged maids for him. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
It had already been two days since he had visited her shop but he had yet to receive any message from her.
Just as he was thinking this, Li Xin and others continued to visit different food stalls, eating all types of snacks.
It didn’t take too long and they were full, especially Evelyn and Emily, who wanted to eat more but couldn’t do it.
In the end, they could only follow Li Wei in ransacking the food shops so they could eat later.
His actions caused a lot of stir as there were many food stalls emptied by him. What could he do if the owner wanted to sell everything? He just bought it without a thought, leaving many people frustrated who were looking forward to eating street food.
"This is unfair!"
"Yeah, no matter if he is a hero or not, he can’t just take everything!"
The people complained; however, no one dared to really say it out loud. It was just some food; why provoke a hero for that?
Of course some people didn’t have brains but before they could even do anything, they disappeared silently.
"Why do I have to do this dirty work?" Rosalie complained, as she was the one who made them disappear while watching Li Wei enjoy his life peacefully.
"Guild master, this isn’t fair at all," she muttered with tears in her eyes when suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder.
She was shocked because from the start she had been hiding in stealth.
"No need to panic; I just want to know a few things." Sylvia smiled gently.
