Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World-Chapter 1446 - 1443: Fighting and Death
"I really didn’t expect it; hunting live prey is so difficult. No wonder the Clan Leader and Nigel hesitated."
"Why talk so much? We said we would hunt well; there’s no way we’re going back on our word."
"Exactly, my little female is most worried about the bugs getting sick. If this medicine powder works, she’ll be much happier in the future."
The orcs carried their prey and walked through the forest, chatting enthusiastically.
"Shaman, we’ve hunted quite a few prey. Should we send them to the Watson Tribe?" Nigel panted as he ran in from outside the cave.
The old Shaman frowned at his words and looked at him, "What’s the matter? Didn’t we say to send them in a few days?"
Nigel scratched his head awkwardly, "Several of the prey I caught have already died. If we had sent them to the Watson Tribe earlier, we could have exchanged them for several packs of medicine powder."
"How did they die? Did you injure them when you caught them?"
The old Shaman stood up at his words and walked to the cave where the prey was kept.
Nigel followed behind him, looking troubled, "These prey are kept together and always fight, resulting in a few dying each time. We have no solution."
The closer they got to the cave where the prey was kept, the more distinct the cacophony became. The various calls of the prey blended into a tormenting sound.
The old Shaman couldn’t help but frown.
The cave was already crowded with prey, and whenever two animals bumped into each other, it would cause a big fight.
Not only would the fighting animals get injured, but even nearby animals would get caught up in it.
A fight usually resulted in the death of several animals, leaving the orcs feeling helpless.
The old Shaman, overwhelmed by the sight of these animals, quickly waved his hand, "Arrange it quickly and send them to Shaman Ji Nuan soon."
After saying that, he darted off with nimble steps as if something was chasing him.
Nigel was left alone to face the numerous animals, feeling utterly bitter.
At this time at the Watson Tribe’s East Continent base, the orcs had temporarily paused the construction of the city wall to focus on building livestock enclosures.
The slave beasts looked on with envy at the beautifully and solidly built enclosures made of green mud bricks.
Such a beautiful house was built for the animals, and they wished they could have one as well. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
The day after the enclosures were completed, Nigel led his tribesmen, carrying prey, to the base.
"Oh, Shaman Ji Nuan, come save us, please." Ji Nuan had just come out of the log cabin and was greeted by Nigel’s panda-like dark circles and haggard face.
"What’s the situation? It’s just catching some wild animals; how did you end up looking like this?"
Ji Nuan wanted to laugh but was afraid of hurting Nigel’s self-esteem, so she held it in.
Nigel weakly pointed to the wild animals behind him, still struggling and howling, "I’ve almost gone mad dealing with these guys these past few days. Killing them straight away would have been better; these guys are just... unbearable."
Ji Nuan went over to take a look, and the animals still seemed rather energetic, each howling and struggling incessantly, even shaking as the orcs lifted them.
None of them appeared to be injured or sick, truly a pleasant surprise.
