Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!-Chapter 183: The Thurston Family (5)
"SPATIAL MANIPULATION! YOU GOT A SPATIAL MANIPULATION PASSIVE!" Clara, of course, being the BroCon, was a tad bit too excited to see her baby brother get something good, and she was extremely happy for him.
"No, it's not a Space Manipulation passive; it's different. I can tell that Aoni merely accessed something already present instead of distorting and controlling the space in front of him." Charlotte mused while leaning forward a bit and looking into the small rip in space floating above the table.
"Since it's fairly new to me still, I haven't been able to find out much about it apart from the basic functions. Essentially, I am able to connect to a pocket dimension wherein items, living or not, can be stored inside."
"Food doesn't seem to go bad inside my inventory, and with each increase in Rank, either step or stage, the space within grows. Right now, At F- it can house a decent amount of stuff…" Ignoring the curious looks of his Family, Aoni reached into his inventory and withdrew his beloved weapons, earning a collective gasp as the upgraded hook blades exited the pocket dimension into reality before being placed on the table.
"May I?" Clara, being a battle maniac and lover of all weapons, asked while motioning to Vestr since Aoni had naturally placed it on the table nearest to her.
"Sure, just try not to cut yourself; Vestr and Austr have more pointy bits than you can imagine…" For a moment, Aoni's mind drifted off to the first few times he'd handled his hook swords before shaking his head to clear the dark memories of accidental self-harm.
"Pfft, they're just hook swords, little brother, how sharp could they, TSSSS, FUCK!" No sooner than had Clara picked Vestr up did she nearly drop it after grazing her knuckles against the sharpened guard protecting the hilt.

"Sigh, I told you," pinching the brim of his nose, Aoni went ahead and left Clara to her stupidity and took out a few more things he'd kept in his inventory for selling upon his return to Terra.
His original plan was to find a method to sell everything unnoticed and earn some quick cash as items such as Higher Grade Energia Crystals, good crafting materials above 1-Star, and even quite a bit of uncooked Chimera Meat were arranged in neat piles within his 8x8 foot inventory space.
One by one, he took them out and carefully placed everything on the table, and with each passing second, the light in both Anthony's and Jason's eyes grew brighter and brighter.
They had imagined that Aoni's territory was promising. Still, with him having brought back enough items to garner over a million CDs, it wouldn't be a stretch to believe he'd brought the best he could back to Terra.
Yet, with each new thing placed on the table, their thoughts were drastically changed, especially with the appearance of the golden 2-star meat.
It alone could fetch an astronomical 200k per pound based solely on the Energia radiation it leaked into the air. Even more insane was the fact that everything Aoni was bringing out gave off a slight chill, and to all the experienced Travelers in the room, it was a clear sign of Elementalized Ice Energia.
By the time Aoni finally finished emptying his inventory and sat back, he found his Family had immersed themselves in examining each item with care. At the same time, his mother clearly snuck a piece of Monster Jerky to try under Jason's watchful gaze.
After all, too much of the Energia Rich meat would wreak havoc inside Lea's mundane body if consumed, so after making sure it was only 1-star meat, Jason allowed his wife to try a couple of bites.
"Mmmmm, so tasty; my baby boy has been eating good, I see,"
"M..Mom, that's Monster jerky!" With a frightened shudder, because he knew how potent that stuff was the first time he ate it, Aoni felt his heart skip a beat upon seeing her happily chewing the chimera jerky; however, when the Lad looked to his Dad for help and noticed the man was unbothered, he calmed down a bit.
"Yes, I know, and your father has already checked it; I was just curious about how you were eating over there on Genovia, and if this jerky you made is any indication, I suppose all those years of dragging you into the kitchen to help with dinner wasn't wasted." Beaming proudly at how insightful her past self was, Lea wiped her mouth with a napkin and smiled at her youngest son.
"Archie, what's the total?" As this interaction took place, Archie, Charlotte, and Anthony collectively examined every item, piece by piece. At the same time, Cathy set about weighing the meat with a scale she got from who knows where.
Seeing the level of synergy between all his siblings, Aoni couldn't help but be both amused and amazed because, at any other time, everyone could usually be seen bantering or bickering like children. Yet, right now, each member of the Family had a task and was executing it with a level of expertise indicating it wasn't their first time.
Be they Traveler or Mundane, it didn't matter, and based on how they moved, it was evident that they'd been training for some time or at least learning about everything from identification to pricing; it was really something that caught Aoni off guard, considering in his eyes, Archie was always the lazy nerd who rarely left his room and didn't have much of a social life apart from online communities. At the same time, Cathy only cared about gossiping about cosmetics and celebrities.
"If you hadn't awakened Aoni, you'd be the same. Family sticks together, whether they are travelers or mundanes; it doesn't change the blood flowing in your veins. Had you failed to awaken, you would have been put through the same schooling as Archival and Catherine, and honestly, it's the life I hope for all of my children because Genovia is simply too dangerous." Jason said with his emotions apparent in his body language.
It was a mixture of sadness, regret, and something Aoni couldn't identify.
No one wants to see their children thrown into life-and-death battles without any real reason behind it, apart from the greed of the people running the country.
