Legendary Shelter Survival Guide-Chapter 196: Territory Building Guidelines (2)
RUSTLE RUSTLE
"One more?" Lucas ran toward the rustling in the tall grass and jumped.
There, he saw a small creature moving fast toward the other direction.
Lucas just laughed and dashed toward the creature with speed incomparable to his pror abilities.

Lucas grabbed the creature by the neck and pulled it up.
"How are these rats here after the 2nd phase? Is it’s skills at level 5 too? Wait, but that doesn’t explain the killing of boss monsters…" Lucas thought aloud while looking at the creature that was trying to claw Lucas’s hand.
It tingled when it scratched his skin but Lucas could not feel anything.
"Can you talk?" Lucas asked the creature and it momentarily stopped for a second.
Lucas became excited and waited for it to say soemthing just like the basilon kid but the rat just started to scratch his hand to get out again.
"Another failure to communicate huh…"
FLICK
[+2 EXP]
Lucas flicked his finger that broke the fragile neck of the creature. Its eyes stared at Lucas and that was it, it died while looking at him.
He opened a small leather pouch hanging on his wrist and kept the rat inside it. The piuch was already filled with two other rats.
Just like that, Lucas again went and worked his way in cutting the tall grasses.
He had already progressed a lot and a line of pathway without any grass or plant could be seen.
Lucas saw many medical plants of low quality with them but he just deemed them trash.
Thousands of such herbs were kept inside the storage spoiling while being unused.
Lucas could make a lot of mana potions with them yet he refrained as the consumption rate was not that high.
’Maybe I should start the potion trade too… For those gold coins perhaps?’ His eyes flashed with excitement as he stopped what he was doing. He had done a lot anyway.
All this time, he had stopped himself as the potion just felt to unfair to give for just some mana stones or food.
Lucas made his way back to the shelter with the hope to make some progress.
"Ah! I wa going to call you anyway, Leader. We have a situation again." Haley said while a thin stone slate wasin her hands.
"Don’t call me leader, Haley. Lucas is fine."
"Oh my god! How can I be so direspectful toward the master of the shelter. Won’t you kick me out?" Hale said with fake fright, her appitite to try teasing Lucas was only increasing every day.
Lucas rolled his eyes playfully at Haley’s teasing. "Forget it. So? what’s this situation you wanted to talk about?"
Haley handed him the thin stone slate with a concerned expression. "It’s about the excessive stuff in the shelter’s storage. We’re running out of space, and it’s becoming a problem. If this goes on, we would have to stop trade for a while."
Lucas sighed, realizing that the storage issue was a pressing concern. "You’re right... this is a problem we need to solve yet again. We can’t just keep hording stuff."
"Lets do it like this, send all the herbs, leathers and bones down to the workshop. It can be kept in piles there too. With our amount of trades, it will be filled again in no time."
"Hmm… Won’t it become messy there too?"
"Don’t worry about that, Just complete the task with the help of others. I will be setting up the cauldron then. And do it quick or I will really kick you out of the shelter." Lucas said with a grin making Haley click her tongue in response.
"Hmph"
They both bid farewell and without meeting anyone else, Lucas went toward his cauldron after addressing to the fact that John and Sean were also down in their own workshops.
"Are you setting your cauldron, Lucas?" Sean asked from inside his cubicle makeshift workshop.
There was no curtain at the door so Sean could be seen scribbling on a bone while he was looking at Lucas as if what he was doing didn’t need much attention to begin with.
"Yeah, and by the way, all the leather, bones and herbs will be sent down here today. We are going to make some space in the storage."
"Yeah, good idea." John chimed in, his hand still moving and sewing the two leathers together.

"I also have some good news, after reading through everything a while ago, I know the gist of the situation now."
"Oh? Do enlighten me." Lucas said while he didn’t stop the process of starting his brewing.
"For starters, all you have to do is give roles to everyone in the territory. There are many in the ’Roles’ option. There many kinds of roles and I think you should go through them."
Lucas stopped after listening for a second, and went back to work while thinking about it.
"Things are becoming organized now huh. So these roles are something like making the day to day duties of everyone in the shelter concrete?"
"You can say it like that."
Luca also told the guy of his findings. He told John about how he went to the grazing area after learing the fact that there were many creatures in their territory.
"Hmm… There are still rats around? The last one I hunted with my traps was a month ago. My skill leveled up to 5 right about then and there was no need for rat meat. But to think they are still alive… too concerning?"
"Why are you concerned?"
"Well… how about the fact that a rat can’t kill boss monsters even when they are in a swarm of a thousand? This makes things much more complicated… wait, the Basilon younglin had also not completed the boss fights!" John exclaimed after realizing.
"Didn’t you know about this before? I knew about it but didn’t want to make Aunt Ella concerned with this knowledge. I was already prepard for it to die, you know."
"I didn’t consder this at all. Our situation was too complicated anyway but whats done is done. It survived and I am happy about it. Wait, does that mean creatures like them don’t have the same objectives as us?"
Lucas heard John rambling on and waited while listening. He looked at Sean who shook his head too, they knew it was going to take some time before John could talk properly again.
