Legendary Oops System-Chapter 27: Getting Stronger
A powerful explosion rocked the alleyway as all four boys clumped together were suddenly blown away from each other.SPLAAATTERBlood splashed into the air as all four slammed into the wall, bouncing a minimum of three times from one wall to another, spraying blood into the air before all came to a stop, landing randomly in different places.White’s hands quietly fell back to his sides, and the next moment, his grin was wiped off as he suddenly collapsed on his knees.
"ACCCCK!"
His hand clenched his head, feeling a throbbing headache, as the panel flashed.
[ENERGY: 0/50]
[You only have so much energy.]
The panel flashed, explaining the reason for his exhaustion, though he only remained weak for a couple seconds before he forced himself back to his feet.All of the boys had been knocked down, lying on their chests flat, cold, with some having their hands covered in blood.He had wanted to test how powerful the attack was and how it worked, and now he had seen it.
The only reminder was his widened eyes in disbelief as the chubby body covered in snot stared, and White only spared him a grin before he quietly stepped out of the alleyway.The chubby looked at the unconscious bodies of the boys, and he ran to each of them, stepping on their unconscious faces and taking a picture of his foot on each of their faces before he also sped out of the alleyway.
Once he was out of the hall, White took a random direction and began walking quietly.On his face, the unstable grin of happiness that made the system eventually comment.
[Sick abilities, huh?]
It said, and White chuckled.
"It’s good!"
He said with a grin.
To be honest, he had felt like he shot himself in the feet ever since he copied the Limitless Energy.A circumcision bloodline with a bad reputation and hard to control. Yeah, even if it was S-grade, it wasn’t exactly something to rejoice about.
But now, with what he just did—easily matching the power of four newcomers like him and then blowing them all unconscious with a single finger raised—
Now that was something that wiped away all of his regret.
He knew this wasn’t possible by normal standards.The one he had copied the ability from, Nova, definitely couldn’t have reached this level, despite having known of her ability more than him.
It was a joyful feeling of growth that White couldn’t contain.
But thinking back to the skirmish, he remembered a couple alarming things, and he called to the system.
"Hey system?"
[Yes.]
"Can you create me an Energy panel? I ran out of energy back then, all of a sudden and without warning. There was one more person I had to fight.
I would have been beaten up badly due to exhaustion."
"I need a way to know my energy is going down, so..."
[Done.]
The system panel flashed, and what followed next was simple.
[Energy: 10/50]
[You can call out Energy during your fights and the panel will appear. For now, it will be stored on the system interface.]
The system said to him, and he nodded.
Now he could be more aware in his fights.
As for how to increase the cap of his energy being at 50, that was obviously through reaching higher levels of cultivation.
DRUUUM!
A sudden reverberation and he turned to his wrist. There, a light undulated from the runic watch and on it was a notification.
[NEW MISSION]
[General Xcyber Class Begins in 12 Hours.]
[Location: General Cyber Hall. 2nd Storey Teleportation.]
It said, and White’s eyes gleamed, looking around him.
He could see the rest of the students had also paused, looking at their runic watch.
That revealed it was sent to everyone.
Since it was in 12 hours, there wasn’t much need for a rush, but still, White determined.
If he was going to take a walk around, he might as well get around the newcomer area and recognize the location the class will happen.
With that in mind, he opened up the map on the runic watch and began his walk, following the map.
Quickly he arrived in a different area of the academy, Subjects Area, and in here modern skyscrapers filled everywhere his eyes looked, a different contrast compared to the castle-like area behind him.
Amongst the various skyscrapers, he was able to narrow down the right skyscraper, the Xcyber Hall.
It was a storey building of about 10 floors.
Since it said the 2nd Storey Teleportation, then wherever the class takes place must have something with going to the 2nd floor.
He didn’t step in; he only came to confirm things.
"Now, I record how long it will take me to walk from the dorm to here."
He mused, and carefully setting a timer, White began his walk back.
Fortunately for him, it was relatively unadventurous.
While some students were being targeted by others, he wasn’t approached, probably because he took the clear main path where the majority of students and even instructors were also passing.
Bullying was happening in dark corners, but the perpetrators weren’t doing it publicly.
When he reached his dorm room, he checked the time:
"18 Minutes: 45 seconds."
He recited out loud, followed by a DIIING sound from the elevator as he stepped out, his eyes imprinted on the watch.
"I guess I’ll only need to leave 20 minutes before class is situated to begin."
He mused, but all of a sudden paused when he felt a slight rustle in the air, and he consciously jerked his head back.
Halting in place, his senses didn’t fail him as he looked forward and found a finger pointed right at his forehead.
It would have obviously touched if he had not moved back, and before him was a lady.
She was tall for a lady, standing at White’s 1.9 meters height, long pink hair and eyes that seemed to release motes of purple every time she blinked them.
What really took White’s attention was her forehead.
There was something in her forehead.
