Legacy of the Void Fleet-Chapter 46: ch-44 the delegation arrives
People were curious.
The nobles were curious.
Across the Indra Empire, speculation ran wild. Why had the leaders of Earth’s greatest superpowers been summoned to the imperial capital? What could be so urgent that even the State of Avalon and the Bear Empire—nations known for their cautious diplomacy—had agreed to send their most senior representatives?
Yet, while the world watched in uncertainty, only two nations knew the truth—the Indra Empire and the Jiang Dynasty.
In each of these great powers, only a select few privileged individuals were aware of it.
Now...
At the Indra Empire’s Imperial City Airport, guests began to arrive. The first to land was the President of the State of Avalon, accompanied by his advisors and diplomats. They were warmly received by the Indra Empire’s Foreign Minister, a woman who carried herself with the grace befitting her station.
Her name was Vivian, a Tier 2 Duke of the empire. With her striking black-and-green hair and natural charm, she effortlessly commanded attention. It was her duty to welcome all the distinguished guests from the three empires and allied nations.
Soon, the Avalon state aircraft touched down and was carefully towed to its designated position. The hum of its engines fades as ground crews move swiftly and staircase was promptly attached to the plane.
A moment later, the door opens, and the President of Avalon emerged. He was a middle-aged man with an aura of authority, his sharp gaze taking in the sight before him—a red carpet with golden trim, flanked by imperial guards standing in perfect formation.
Vivian, the Foreign Minister of the Indra Empire, stands poised and composed at the heart of the crimson carpet, her presence exuding authority and grace.
Satisfied with the reception, he stepped forward, where Vivian stood ready to greet him.
Vivian stepped forward with a respectful nod "Welcome to the Indra Empire, President David Thomson. The Emperor has extended his regards and looks forward to your meeting."
President David Thomson descends the stairs with measured steps, offering a firm nod in return "Minister Vivian, I appreciate the warm welcome. Your empire’s hospitality is as refined as ever."
Vivian smiling subtly "We take pride in ensuring our guests feel properly received. I trust your flight was smooth?"
President David Thomson glances briefly at the diplomatic entourage behind him before focusing back on her "Uneventful, which is how I prefer my travels. Though, I must say, it’s been some time since I last set foot in the Indra Empire. The city appears to have grown even more impressive."
Vivian tilts her head slightly, amusement flickering in her emerald eyes "Imperial progress is relentless. Much like Avalon’s own rise on the world stage."
President David Thomson chuckles lightly "Progress is a necessity in our era. I imagine that’s why the Emperor has taken an interest in today’s discussions."
Vivian added with a knowing smile "The Emperor is always interested in shaping the future—especially one that aligns with the Empire’s best interests."
President David Thomson meeting her gaze with equal weight "As any wise leader should."
A brief pause hangs between them, a silent exchange of understanding beneath the formal pleasantries. Then, with a graceful motion, Vivian gestures toward the waiting convoy.
---
Vivian said "Your vehicle is ready. Security has been arranged to ensure a smooth journey to the Imperial Palace."
President David Thomson nods "Efficient as always. Shall we?"
Vivian "offering a polite bow "By all means, Mr. President."
The convoy then departed toward the Imperial Palace of the Indra Empire.

Within the next ten minutes, more distinguished guests arrived. Following the President of Avalon, the Emperor of the Bear Empire and his delegation landed. They, too, were warmly welcomed by Foreign Minister Vivian and the imperial guards, who stood proudly in their ceremonial attire
Just as she had with the President of Avalon, Vivian exchanged the same formal pleasantries with the Bear Emperor, her words measured and diplomatic. After the brief exchange, the emperor was led to his vehicle, accompanied by his escorts, and the convoy set off toward the Imperial Palace.
The final arrival was that of the Jiang Dynasty, led by Emperor Wu himself. His delegation was greeted with the same enthusiasm by Vivian and the imperial guards.
As she had with the President of Avalon and the Bear Emperor, Vivian exchanged the same formal pleasantries with Emperor Wu, her words precise and diplomatic.
After the customary welcome, he was escorted to his vehicle, with his own security detail ensuring a smooth passage. His convoy, like the others before him, proceeded directly toward the Imperial Palace, where the grand gathering of leaders was about to take place.
With all the distinguished guests having arrived and safely on their way to the Imperial Palace, Vivian finally took her leave. Maintaining her composed demeanor, she boarded her own vehicle and departed from the airport, heading toward the palace to fulfill her next set of duties.
Within half an hour, the President of Avalon arrived at the Imperial Palace. There, he was greeted by Emperor Maximum Maurya himself. A cunning and formidable ruler, Maximum carried himself with an air of dignity and royal grace. His deep blue eyes and black hair only enhanced his already striking presence.
As the president stepped out of his vehicle, the emperor approached. The two leaders shook hands firmly.
"It’s been a while, Emperor Maximum, hasn’t it?" David Thomson, the President of Avalon, said with a warm smile.
Maximum returned the gesture with a smirk. "It has indeed, my friend. And enough with the formalities, will you?"
David chuckled and nodded in agreement. After exchanging a few more words, the emperor signaled the palace attendants, who then led David toward the Congress Hall. Meanwhile, Maximum remained at the entrance of the inner palace, ready to personally welcome the next arriving dignitaries.
Within just two more minutes, the Emperor of the Bear Empire, Donvas, arrived at the Imperial Palace. As his convoy came to a halt, the palace guards stood at attention, maintaining their disciplined formation.
Stepping out of his vehicle, Donvas was met by Emperor Maximum Maurya, who greeted him with a firm handshake. The two rulers exchanged respectful nods, their mutual understanding evident.
"It’s good to see you again, Donvas," Maximum said with a slight smile.
Donvas, a man of few words but great presence, gave a curt nod. "Likewise, Maximum. The empire looks as grand as ever."
With formalities exchanged, the palace attendants stepped forward to escort Donvas toward the Congress Hall, where President David Thomson was already waiting. Meanwhile, Emperor Maximum remained at the entrance, ready to welcome the final guest, Emperor Wu of the Jiang Dynasty.
Just as Donvas was escorted away by the attendants, the convoy carrying Emperor Wu of the Jiang Dynasty, along with his advisors and delegation, entered the palace grounds and reached the inner palace.
Stepping out of his vehicle, Emperor Wu was greeted by Emperor Maximum Maurya. The two rulers exchanged pleasantries, their words carrying the weight of diplomacy and long-standing relations.
"We have much to discuss, don’t we, Emperor Wu?" Maximum said, a knowing smirk playing on his lips.
"Indeed, we do, Emperor Maximum," Wu responded calmly.
Maximum gestured toward the entrance of the palace. "Then we should proceed to the conference chamber. After all, you have a lot to explain."
At these words, Wu’s mouth twitched slightly, but he let out a light chuckle. "Indeed. Let’s go."
With that, the two emperors, accompanied by their delegations, made their way toward the grand conference chamber, where crucial discussions awaited them.
As they entered the grand conference chamber, it was as if they had stepped into a heavenly palace. The architecture was breathtaking—gold adorned the walls, intricate patterns weaving across the surface, complementing the deep, rich colors embedded within. The floor was crafted from pristine white marble, streaked with elegant black textures that added a touch of sophistication.
Above them, the towering ceiling was a masterpiece in itself, adorned with golden pendants of various intricate designs, casting a warm glow throughout the room. In the center of the chamber stood a magnificent circular table, carved from ancient wood thousands of years old, its presence exuding history and authority. Surrounding it were four identical golden chairs—thrones in their own right—each meticulously crafted to symbolize the power of those who sat upon them.
Two of the chairs were already occupied. Seated upon them were President David Thomson of Avalon and Emperor Donvas of the Bear Empire. As Emperor Wu and Emperor Maximum approached, the two leaders stood, acknowledging their arrival. They exchanged casual greetings with Emperor Wu—a gesture that might not have occurred in the past, but times had changed.
With the powerful backing of the Star Fleet, the Jiang Dynasty had solidified its influence, gaining a strong position over Avalon, the Bear Empire, and even the Indra Empire. Yet, despite its growing power, one mystery remained—the recently arrived Void Fleet. Of the four great nations present, only the Indra empire and the Jiang dynasty seemed to know its origins and purpose.
But that was about to change.
Today, in this grand conference chamber, secrets would be unveiled, alliances tested, and the balance of power among the empires would shift, again.
