"Come, let’s talk in my office," Tyler said.

With that, Kallus followed Tyler and Tessa, heading toward the private research office, where they could discuss matters in detail.

Tessa, standing beside him, smiled warmly and winked at him before following suit. Unlike the other researchers, who had already resumed their work, she remained attentive, her silver eyes filled with curiosity and mischief.

Seeing her wink at him with those mischief-filled eyes, Kallus facepalmed, let out a huff, and followed Tyler.

As Kallus followed Tyler and Tessa through the vast halls of the Research & Development Division, he took a moment to observe his surroundings. The entire facility was buzzing with activity—holographic schematics floated in the air, researchers moved swiftly between workstations, and automated fabrication units hummed as they processed new designs.

With an approving nod, Kallus spoke.

"Your research division is as impressive as ever, Tyler. Always filled with energy and enthusiasm."

Walking ahead, Tyler glanced back with a small smile, his voice carrying a hint of pride.

"Of course, it is!" he said. "Every one of us is filled with excitement. All this technology is new to us, and that alone makes the work thrilling."

Tessa, walking beside him, nodded in agreement. Her silver eyes sparkled with curiosity, reflecting the endless possibilities their research could bring.

"For scientists like us, discovery is everything," she added. "Every breakthrough, every system we decode, every challenge we solve—it’s like uncovering the secrets of the universe itself. How could we not be excited?"

Kallus chuckled.

"That kind of passion is exactly why I trust this division to lead our technological advancements."

As they walked through the halls of the R&D Department, they finally reached Tyler’s office—though calling it an office was a bit of a stretch.

It was more of a personal lab, cluttered with various holographic projections floating in the air. Some of these were incomplete blueprints, while others appeared to be finished designs awaiting further refinement. Kallus’s gaze swept across the numerous ship schematics, many of which displayed advanced weaponry, shield systems, and propulsion methods.

One particular hologram caught his eye—a warship that, from its structure and armament, resembled a cruiser-class vessel.

For a brief moment, a flicker of recognition flashed in his mind.

"Wait… I’ve seen this design before…"

Something about it stood out, but before he could dwell on it, he shook his head and dismissed the thought.

"I’m not here for this."

Still, he had a nagging feeling that this design might become relevant at some point.

Ignoring it for now, Kallus moved forward and sat down on the sofa, facing Tyler.

"Tessa, ever the attentive apprentice, remained standing at the side, silently observing. Her silver eyes darted between her mentor and Kallus, sensing that something important was about to be discussed. During meetings, she was always focused—otherwise, she would have been up to one of her usual mischiefs."

Tyler was the first to break the silence.

"What do you need of me, Imperial Commander?" he asked, his tone professional yet curious.

He then continued, crossing his arms as he glanced at Kallus.

"Is this about the task you assigned me a month and a half ago?"

Kallus nodded, leaning forward slightly.

"Yes, partly. I need an update on that project, but there’s something more pressing I need your insight on."

Tyler raised an eyebrow but remained silent, waiting for Kallus to elaborate.

Tessa, standing to the side, observed the exchange intently, her mind already racing through possible topics that could require her mentor’s expertise.

Kallus began explaining the nature of this universe—how it was vastly different from their previous one. He spoke about the energy-rich environment, its long-term effects, and how it had shaped civilizations, species, and even technology in ways they had never encountered before.

The more he spoke, the more stunned Tyler and Tessa became.

At first, their expressions held mild surprise. But as Kallus continued, detailing how this universe’s energy fields influenced evolution, technology, and even power awakening, their surprise turned to shock.

Kallus continued his explanation

These regions, previously stripped of their natural energy or otherwise isolated from universal forces, would soon begin returning to their original state. And with that resurgence, everything would change.

[The Looming Threat]

Kallus’s tone grew serious as he elaborated:

"This means that our Solar System—where our fleet is currently stationed—will soon become one of the most sought-after locations in this sector of the universe. Once the energy fully revives, it won’t be long before powerful civilizations take notice."

He leaned forward slightly, his eyes sharp.

"And you can bet they won’t just sit back and ignore such a treasure trove of resources. They’ll come. Whether as explorers, conquerors, or opportunists, they will come. And when they do, they’ll undoubtedly try to claim the Solar System as their own."

Tyler frowned, already processing the implications, while Tessa listened intently.

"While the Obliterator is more than powerful enough to deter some of these forces," Kallus continued, "it’s not a permanent solution. The ship is my personal command vessel—it can’t be everywhere at once. If we rely solely on it for defense, we’ll be stretching ourselves too thin."

He leaned back slightly, crossing his arms.

"That’s why we need to start building more powerful and structured warships—not just for defense, but also for expansion. We need a fleet that can stand on its own, without having to rely on a single superweapon to keep threats at bay."

As he finished explaining, Kallus added another crucial point:

"Soon, I will be making all relevant information on both the technological and cultivation-based aspects of this universe available to our members. However, our advancements in cultivation will have to wait for now. We have nearly three months before the full energy resurgence takes place, which means our priority should be securing our foothold first."

At this, Tessa raised her hand and, in a familiar tone, asked,

"But Kallus, as you mentioned, in order to cultivate, one needs a physique capable of absorbing this energy. Won’t that limit us?"

Kallus’s lips curled into a knowing grin.

"That’s where you’re wrong, Tessa. Every single person in our fleet possesses a physique that allows them to absorb and refine this energy. The Supreme Being ensured that when reincarnating all of us, our bodies were modified accordingly."

Tessa’s eyes widened in realization, and Tyler gave a slow nod, finally understanding the deeper significance of their reincarnation.

Kallus smirked before adding,

"But that’s a matter for later. Right now, we focus on our immediate preparations. We have three months before the energy resurgence changes everything, and we must be ready."

By the time he finished, both of them sat there in stunned silence, as if struggling to process the sheer magnitude of what they had just learned.

Tyler, a man who had lived for 100,000 years in his previous life, found himself speechless for the first time in centuries. Meanwhile, Tessa, usually calm and composed, looked as if her entire worldview had just been shaken.

After a long pause, Tyler finally spoke, his voice carrying an uncharacteristic hint of disbelief.

"This… this changes everything."

Tessa nodded slowly, still deep in thought.

"If what you say is true, then the potential for advancement here is beyond anything we’ve ever seen."

Kallus smirked slightly, crossing his arms.

"Exactly.

Tyler let out a deep breath, his eyes gleaming with renewed excitement.

{Hey everyone, it’s the author here. I just want to say something to you all. I’m new to this, so I may make mistakes here and there. All I ask is that you mention those mistakes, and I’ll certainly try to correct them as best as I can. One more request: As you all know, this novel is about space and related topics. If you have any ideas about technology or the principles behind it, please mention them as well. There isn’t much I can find on Google with my current resources. Thank you all!}
