Legacy Of The Extra-Chapter 17: Josephine Von Blitzfeld
Chapter 17 - Josephine Von Blitzfeld
"Hah...The air is quite fresh here," I mumbled taking in the fresh air of the countryside. Looking behind at the train doors only a few people had stepped out of the train alongside me.

I just arrived at "Rasendorf Bahnhof," a station in a small village in the Blitzfeld Duchy maintained by my Aunt Josephine Von Blitzfeld—one of the three people who attended my funeral in the game along with the protagonist Raiden, and my Elder Brother Micheal.
She is one of the few people who truly cares about Noah and wants to stop his bad treatment by the family of Blitzfeld. But alas she was not that powerful and Noah himself cast her away.
Yes, Noah whose body I possess or possess a part of, chased away the very people who cared about him. But I am not Noah—or I am, I just don't understand this merger of both of our souls. If our souls merged, am I the one in control or is it Noah?
[You both are now one Soul, so stop with this bullshit and get on with your plan] Dante said, he sounded irritated which was new for me.
'Fine' I released a breath.
[Thank you, the whole train ride you have been just thinking about that]
'Why wouldn't I? What happens if these emotions lead me to my doom? Last time I was lucky due to the man and the slavers not being fighters but what if they were? I would've been sold off alongside Ian' I shot back, remembering the strange feeling I felt when saved Ian.
'If I don't get Noah's feelings under control, I won't be able to do the things I want'
[I know, I know but don't be too hard on yourself. You are both Ethan and Noah, try to achieve an equilibrium between the two.] Dante suggested.
'Yeah, you are right'
I strode forward towards the stone path laid out in front of me, this place was not over-cumbered by people—which is not a bad thing, I don't like crowds that much anyway. It was a good little spot in the countryside.
After walking for a few minutes, I arrived at the entrance of the village of Rasendorf which was marked by a wooden sign on the right side of the stone path. As I entered the village, I saw children playing around—Tag or hide and seek—their faces were etched with smiles and the roads echoed with their laughter.
Few of them stopped and looked at me curiously, few of them waved at me for which I waved at them back. A few adults also eyed me, and few did not bother to look at me—being busy with their work.
The number of buildings in the village was less, leaving aside the Mazekin Branch—everything else was single-floored houses where people spent their daily lives. It was a nice and peaceful village which is under the guidance of my Aunt.
I looked around and entered a tavern, few people were drinking and chatting among themselves. It was an open tavern like those in medieval times where drinks and food would be served outside on tables and benches.
Entering the vicinity, I approached a woman maybe in her 30s—she had brown hair and black eyes and wore cloth covering her hair with an apron on top of her dress.
"Miss..." I called out to her.
"Oh, welcome. How can I help you?" She turned around toward me and greeted me with a warm smile. "Perhaps you want food or drinks?"
"No, I actually wanted to know where Lady Josephine from the Blitzfelds resides," I requested politely, "I am an acquaintance of her. So, will you please guide me?"
"Lady Josephine at this time always visits the graveyard," She said pointing her finger toward a direction, "From there take a left and then a right, you should arrive at the Graveyard"
"Thank You, Miss" I expressed my gratitude and made my towards the direction she showed me.
.
.
Reaching the entrance of the graveyard, I stepped inside. There were many stones imbedded in the ground signaling the passing of the people. Flowers were shared with the stone in their memory by their lovers and families.
'Did someone offer my grave a flower back on Earth?' It was unlikely because I did not have anyone other than my Grandma who passed away before me—And I cried literal rivers in her memory.
I walked along the dirt path and spotted a woman standing in front of a grave. Like me and my father—she had wheat blonde hair tied in a bun and she was wearing quite a normal outfit—too simple for a member of the Blitzfeld.
"Aunt," I called for her slowly making my way towards her.
She turned around revealing her lavender eyes to me. She was a beautiful woman who had sacrificed her marriage life for unknown reasons—they were not told in the game as she was just a minor character appearing in Alea's quest.
"Who?" She asked, her eyes narrowing.
"It's me, Noah," I said removing the ring of alteration from my finger. My hair went from the shade of blue to the old wheat blonde and my eyes went from amber to silver.
Upon seeing my sudden change, her eyes widened as she slowly walked towards me, her mouth twitched and her lavender eyes flared with—Anger?
Her steps quickened as she approached me, her right hand extending towards my face and she held firmly on my earlobe, pulling it upwards.
"O-Ouch! Aunt!" I raised my voice as pain exploded in my left ear.
"You idiot," She spat her eyes flared even more as if she wanted to burn me alive, "You ran away didn't you?"
"Yes... Au-Aunt umm, can you please let go now?" I asked my eyes pleading but she did not listen and strengthened her hold on them. "Eeek-"
[Wish I had some booze] Dante sprang in.
'You can't even drink'
[Shut up and focus on your Aunt]
"Do you know Friedrich sent me a message through the Orb," She began her grip on my ear tightened as she looked me in the eye, "He said to inform him if the runaway princess arrives here in Rasendorf"
"Please d-don't..Ouch!" She twisted my ears leading to more pain, "Aunt, p-please hear me out"
Her lavender eyes narrowed as if scanning through my whole soul. She released a short breath and let go of my ear. I stumbled back a little bit but then regained my balance—her strength was no joke.
"So, what happened?" She asked crossing her arms, "Why did the princess run away? After rejecting my offer to come live with me in Rasendorf"
"I am sorry, Aunt," I said bowing my head, I had no choice but to apologize. Josephine and Micheal were the only two who cared about Noah. They tried to get him away from the Blitzfeld so that he could live and grow like a normal kid.
There is always a But.
But from the memories I inherited, this guy—Noah, not only did he reject them but also revealed the idea to his father, Duke Friedrich. Friedrich is someone who does not like such things and for some reason did not want to give Noah away.
Brother Micheal fought with his father. Yes. he literally fought with the Duke which led to Micheal relinquishing his title as the heir of the Blitzfeld after which the heir title went to Ikaris the second son.
So, technically you can say that Noah—who believed that if he stayed loyal to his father, he might get recognition and love from him—made his brother give up on the heir title. And Friedrich and Duchess Lorelle were not happy about this. Which led to the further alienation of Noah.
He hit his own foot with the fucking Axe.
Now, Micheal lives here with Aunt Josephine. Far away from the Blitzfeld estate. And because of this guy's action, I am the one who has to apologize.
[You two are the same people right now] Dante stated in a flat and obvious tone.
Ignoring Dante I lifted my head and looked at my Aunt who had mixed expressions on her face. But before I could utter a single word from my mouth, Aunt Josephine held out her hands and pulled me in for a hug. Her warm embrace that enveloped me created a sense of something inside me— Like guilt.
"Don't pull stunts like that again, you Idiot Nephew"
"...Yes"
