Chapter 109: The Being

Darius was doing his best to look for the being responsible for the pain, but he was having a hard time even keeping up with Deliri.

’I can’t do this like this, there has to be a way out of it.’

He was looking around, the pain always got intense whenever he would try to use an attack on Deliri.

’Whatever that thing is, it wants you to die from a heart attack before you are going to be able to do anything.’

Darius sighed when he heard Azrees’s words. He knew that he would not be able to handle that sort of thing.

’I can’t sense the energy clearly, it feels like....’

Another blow from Deliri cut Darius’s thoughts short, he was flung back into the trees. One huge tree stopped him, our young warrior could feel his bones slightly cracking.

"Damn!"

Darius could only say as blood gushed out of his mouth, he was looking at Deliri, and he could see that the creature was still evolving.

His four arms have now merged together, forming one huge hand, which was oozing with dark mana and aura.

The creature’s face had become even more deformed than its original state.

Darius was looking at Deliri, getting up from the ground as his bones slowly reset themselves.

Grunting from the pain, he managed to force a few words out. "I don’t know how I am going to be able to handle this sort of beast with the situations at hand, but then I need to..."

Darius felt the pain again, but this time it was clear and more intense. He looked up to see that there was something off about one of the trees there.

He could feel the presence of another being standing there. Picking up Ve’xa, he looked in that direction, he wasn’t going to hold back.

’That thing is there!’ Darius was looking in the direction of the presence. He swung Ve’xa, letting out a powerful slash that decimated anything that blocked its path.

But then Darius noticed that there was a particular movement; he couldn’t see it, but it was clearly trying to escape the hit.

"There you are!" Darius yelled, slashing the air a couple more times. It all seemed a bit pointless till one of his slashes actually hit the being.

Darius could hear the grunt, he was also ready to attack.

But then, before he could move, Deliri swooped in and landed a powerful blow.

It was strong enough to push him back once more.

"You can’t be serious now, child of chaos, you didn’t think that I would let you go!" Deliri smiled as he tried to land another blow, but Darius blocked it.

His eyes were on the beast, filled with rage and hate for the being standing right in front of him.

"I didn’t forget you ugly!"

[Dragon’s Bullet Activated!]

Darius used the attack on Deliri, the blow from the Dragon’s bullet took a part of Deliri’s body, pushing him off Darius. As he had suspected when he used the attack, a sharp pain came to our young warrior’s chest, and he wasn’t even sure what he would be able to do to avoid another attack like that.

Darius was trying to find the being, but he couldn’t sense it anymore.

’That being, it’s hiding again.’ He thought to himself, the attack he had used was a mana-based attack, and it seemed to affect more than him using his normal-based attacks.

’Darius, this being is clearly still here. Don’t let it get away from you like that, make sure you will find it and take it down!’

Azree wanted to see if he would be able to encourage Darius, and his plans worked.

Darius was still in his Feral Form, meaning that he had enough strength to smoke it out.

’Cmon!’ Darius tried to do something, not knowing if it was going to work, he silenced all the noise in his head.

With the Feral Form on it meant that he had enough power to heighten his other senses and catch whatever it was messing with him.

When Darius felt something odd, right there in front of him. He looked up to see another distortion, he knew what it was.

"Not this time!"

He yelled, lifting his left hand, his eyes fixed on the distortion.

"Bind!"

Darius used a spell from Kurgon the moment he used it.

His eyes and nose began bleeding, and he looked at the distortion, and he could see that there was no way for it to move again.

"Gotcha," He had a smile on his face as he prepared for another attack. he wasn’t going to let anything get away.

With Ve’xa pulled out, Darius sprang to the place the being stood, he brought down the blade on it.

"Argghh!"

A cry of pain could be heard. Darius held it down, but then he could feel the difference in strength. He could see that the monster in front of him was capable of killing him in one swoop if he were a bit weaker.

But that didn’t stop Darius; he was looking at the being, not seeing its face, but he could feel it.

"I don’t know who sent you to me, but I want you to give him a message!" Darius stretched what seemed to be the being’s arm without hesitation bit into it.

"Vile Mortal!" The being winced in pain, trying to hit Darius, but our young warrior was fast.

He dodged the attack, he took another step back before swinging Ve’xa again, and this time he was able to cut the being.

The blood being bled, it’s blood touched the ground, causing the plants around it to grow faster.

Darius was looking at it, knowing that it would try to heal. He took a deep breath, his eyes on the spot where the being stood.

[Cries Of The Fallen Sage Activated!]

"Go away!!" Darius let out a devastating cry that pushed the being back, and Darius could see that it was stepping back.

The being revealed its face, and Darius saw what looked like a man standing over 6’5 feet tall.

His face was covered with a veil, and a golden robe covered his body. The arm Darius had bitten, still bleeding as he looked at our young warrior.

"Child of Chaos, your days are numbered."
