Leave Me Alone, Big Brothers! [BL]-Chapter 150: Monster
Nathan froze in the doorway. He felt a cold sweat break out across his skin. Zane stopped behind him, nearly stumbling as he lowered Ray to the floor.
Across the room, Eli and Gabriel stood alert, their bodies tense. Behind them, Edson was curled into a ball on the floor, his shoulders shaking.
Leo looked at Nathan. His face showed no anger. He did not look surprised to see his brother covered in dust and sweat, or to see Ray behind Zane. Instead, Leo smiled. It was a small, polite smile that did not reach his eyes.
He turned his gaze toward Ray.
Ray’s eyes went wide. The moment he saw Leo, he began to struggle. His hands were still handcuffed behind his back, making it impossible for him to balance. He tried to scramble away from Zane, his legs kicking out wildly.
He tripped over his own feet and hit the carpet hard. He groaned and tried to push himself up with his shoulders, his face twisted in pure terror. "NO! PLEASE LEO! LET ME GO!!"
Zane tried to stand in front of Ray, to protect him. He glared at Leo.
But as Ray struggled to get to his feet and try to get out of the room, a pair of large hands reached down and grabbed his upper arms.
Ray let out a high-pitched scream.
Steven had appeared from the corridor. He held Ray in a firm grip, lifting him partially off the ground.
Ray struggled for his life.
"Bring him out of here," Leo said. His voice was quiet and steady.
"No! Please! Don’t!" Ray screamed. He twisted his body, trying to break Steven’s hold, but he was too weak.
Nathan’s shock turned into a sharp, burning anger. He didn’t think about the danger. He didn’t think Leo would find them so quickly.
He lunged forward and grabbed Ray’s shirt. He pulled with all his strength, causing Ray to stumble forward and fall onto the floor between Nathan and the guards. Ray crawled as fast as he could toward the far wall, away from Steven.
"Don’t touch him!" Nathan screamed. He stood over Ray, his chest heaving. He glared at Steven with a look of pure hatred.
Steven stopped and looked at Leo, then back at Nathan. He let out a long sigh. "Nathan, please move. We cannot let him out of this house alive. If he leaves, we will all be in trouble."
"Who the fuck are you to decide his life?!" Nathan shouted back. His voice cracked with emotion. "He is my friend! You will not touch him! You will not hurt him!"
Leo walked toward Nathan, stopping a few feet away. "Nathan, listen to me. He is not your friend."
Leo’s tone was so calm, like a teacher explaining a simple fact. "He is a bad person. Trust me. What I am doing... it is for our goodness. It is to protect this family. You are young, and you do not understand the risks involved with people like him."
Nathan stared at Leo. He felt a wave of disgust. "What? Don’t say you know him better than me! I’ve known him for months. He’s a nice guy! You don’t know anything about him!"
Nathan’s eyes were sharp, filled with a deep, visible hatred that made Leo stop talking. Leo took a deep breath. He looked around the room at the four teenagers.
He realized he was in a difficult position. He did not want Nathan to see him as a villain. He valued the relationship he had with his younger brother, who he was currently fighting for. He did not want to ruin it because of this.
"I would never do this without a reason," Leo said, his voice softening slightly. "Trust me, Nathan. You know nothing about them. Let me fix this. Let me handle them, and you can go back to your studies."
Nathan stepped back, closer to Ray. "No. You will not touch him. And you will not touch Edson either! Release them right now, or I will call the police!"
Zane stood nearby, still alert. His face was pale, and he was taking shallow, quick breaths. He felt a wave of dizziness. He knew that calling the police was a useless threat. His own father was the Chief of Police, and even he could do nothing against the Salazar family.
The Salazars owned the city, the courts, and the law. But he didn’t stop Nathan. He stayed in a defensive stance, his eyes darting between the door and the guards.
Leo sighed again. "I’m sorry, Nathan. I have to do this. They are bad people, and they have seen things they should not have seen. I have to bring them with me."
Leo looked at Steven and gave a small nod. "Move them."
Two more guards entered the room. They were the men Zane had seen earlier near the storage rooms. They looked at Zane with annoyance, as they felt betrayed and fooled. One of them moved toward Ray with fast, practiced movements. Another one walked across the room.
Steven reached for Nathan, trying to move him out of the way. "Move aside, Nathan."
"Don’t touch him!" Nathan screamed. He began to kick and punch at Steven. He was smaller, but his anger made him move with a frantic energy that made it difficult for Steven to hold him without causing injury.
Ray tried to crawl away, but the guard grabbed him by the waist. He lifted him onto his shoulder as if he weighed nothing.
"NO! RELEASE ME!" Ray kicked his legs, but his hands were still bound, and he had no leverage.
Zane saw the guard carrying Ray toward the door. Adrenaline pushed through his exhaustion. He moved forward and delivered a sharp, heavy kick to the guard’s knee. The guard’s leg buckled, and he fell to the floor, dropping Ray onto the carpet.
The guard scrambled up, looking at Zane with fury. He reached for his belt, but he hesitated. He knew Zane was a guest and Nathan’s friend.
Meanwhile, the second guard had walked past Eli and Gabriel to get to Edson. Edson let out a whimpering cry and tried to hide behind a sofa. Before the guard could reach him, Gabriel stepped into the way.
Gabriel was nearly as large as the guard. He didn’t say a word. He simply shoved the guard with both hands. The force of the shove sent the guard hitting the wall with a loud thud.
Gabriel stood in front of Edson, rolling up his sleeves. His muscles were tensed. He looked ready to fight anyone who came near.
The room was in chaos. The guards were physically superior, and they all carried weapons, but they were paralyzed by the situation. They were dealing with the Boss’s younger brother and his friends. If they used their guns or caused serious injury, Alexander would likely have them killed.
Leo watched the violence without any expression on his face. But inside, his heart was racing. He looked at Edson, who was shaking on the floor. Edson was his most precious toy, the one who interested him. He didn’t want to lose him.
He looked at Nathan. Nathan was still screaming at Steven, calling him every foul name he knew. Nathan looked at Leo with hatred.
"Release them!" Nathan screamed. "You will not hurt them! You are a monster!!"
Leo flinched. The word hit him like a physical blow. He stood frozen for a second, the word echoing in his mind. Monster.
He knew he was a monster, and he realized what he was doing was wrong. But seeing his brother, calling him a monster, he felt unprepared. Especially Nathan, the brother he wanted to tame.
He looked at the scene again. Gabriel was in a wrestling match with one guard. Zane was standing protectively over Ray, his breathing coming in ragged gasps. Steven was still trying to restrain a thrashing Nathan.
Leo realized he had lost control of the situation. He couldn’t kill the boys, and he couldn’t take the prisoners while Nathan was watching.
"Stop," Leo said. His voice wasn’t loud, but it had an authority that made everyone freeze.
"I will release them," Leo said. He looked tired. "Both of them."
Nathan stopped struggling. He looked at Leo, his eyes wide with disbelief. "What?"
Leo looked at his guards. "Let them go. All of you, get out of the room. Now."
The guards looked at each other, confused. Steven frowned. "Leo, are you sure? They—"
"I said get out," Leo snapped.
Steven let go of Nathan’s arms. He signaled to the other two guards. They straightened their clothes and walked out of the room, closing the door behind them. Steven followed them, leaving Leo alone with the four boys and the two prisoners.
Nathan stood there, his breath coming in fast, heavy gulps. "You have to release them from the house. Not just this room."
"I will," Leo said. He looked at the floor. "I will make sure they are okay and that they will not cause any problems for us. I will have the medical staff check them, and then they can go."
Nathan shook his head. "No. I don’t trust you. I will take them myself. You will not touch them again! You’ll just take them back to that room if I let you help them."
Leo looked up. He looked at Nathan with a pained expression. "Nathan, you really don’t trust me? I am telling you, I will make sure they are fine."
Nathan didn’t hesitate. "I don’t trust a monster. I saw what you did to them. I saw that man’s finger! I am bringing them out of here myself."
