Chapter 165: [Past] [Mingle]

[Leanna’s POV]

[Past]

"Mom! Dad!"

I extended my hands, ready to give my parents a big hug.

"Welcome!"

My mother’s face was stretched in all smiles as she ran towards us. But instead of hugging me, her daughter –– she ran straight into Cain’s embrace. While my father just tapped my shoulder before he patted Cain’s shoulder, completely forgetting about me –– their daughter.

"Son! It’s good to see you again! I’m so happy that you’ve decided to take a vacation in our home," my mother exclaimed with her more than high pitched voice, looking all tutu eyes at Cain.

"How is your flight? I’m sure you’re tired. Come, let’s get you all rested and fed," my father said and led Cain towards our parked van.

"Len-Len, come on, dear." My mother finally noticed me. "Don’t just stand there."

"It’s good that you still remember me. Tell me honestly, am I adopted?"

My mother didn’t even roll her eyes. She just ignored me and walked in my direction. I thought she would hug me, but instead –– she just snatched little Pluffy from my embrace and zoomed towards the van.

My parents left me there, standing, looking all infuriated while they huddled around Cain like he was their long lost son.

----

"Mom, where are the twins?"

"They still have exams. Don’t worry. They’ll be home."

My mother shot me a dismissing look, hinting not to disturb her as she pointed at the scenery while explaining everything to Cain like a seasoned tour guide.

Cain reached for my hand, and my head rested on his shoulder without even knowing it.

We stayed like that while he listened to my mother’s prattling and me resting against him as our fingers intertwined . . . Until I saw my father peeked at us on the front view mirror. He was seated at the front, beside our driver while the three of us were at the back with Cain at the center.

My head shot away from Cain’s shoulder, looking all awkward as I pretended to look at the scenery outside the window.

My father cleared his throat before he started a conversation, looking all amused.

"So, Leanna. Your mother’s school is doing great. Thus we are going to start expanding to accommodate as many students as we can."

That got my attention.

I sat straight and looked at my father in the front view mirror.

"That’s great! Do you guys want me to ask the same architect to design the expansion?"

"Ah . . . no," My father said. "It’s alright. We already contacted someone to design the expansion. Hiring a foreigner outside of the country takes time."

I frowned.

I don’t like it.

It’s not because I didn’t trust the architects here in our country, but because I only wanted the best for my parents.

The best there is in the world.

"It’s a popular construction company in the city. They do design and build, so we don’t have to worry about anything," my father added when he sensed my discontentment.

"Oh . . . That’s good," I said, prolonging the words. "Who did you find?"

I kept my voice even so my parents wouldn’t hear the dissatisfaction in my tone.

"I think its name is . . . Clark Construction Company."

. . .

. . .

What?!

[Leanna’s POV]

[Mingle]

"Are you alright?"

I was pulled out from my thoughts upon Cain’s voice and found him already seated beside me on the bed.

I was helping him settled into his room, but instead, it was the man who finished tidying everything up while all I did was getting lost in my thoughts.

Cain rubbed my back when I didn’t answer.

"I’m sorry," I said after a short silence. "I’m a bit . . . tired . . ."

I forced out a smile and stood to my feet, but he seized my hand and pulled me towards the bed. He then hovered over me, pinning me under him.

"W-what’re you doing?"

I tried to push him away, but he just grabbed my hands and pinned it on top of my head.

"What’s been bothering you?" he asked.

Sometimes, having a sensitive and perceptive lover had its disadvantages.

"I’m fine . . . I’m just . . . tired," I said, avoiding his eyes.

"Liar . . . ," he said, gently biting my neck before he kissed me into submission –– which I didn’t.

Honestly, I didn’t have any inkling of what I was feeling right now –– hearing Tristan again after so many years. I’m sure he doesn’t even know me.

Do I hate him?

Do I?

Frankly, I don’t. But I won’t just forget what he did.

*gasp

"You have the nerves to be thinking about something when I’m here in front of you. Who is it?"

Cain tightened his grip as he stopped licking my neck and raised his head, so our eyes leveled.

"Is it a guy?"

I sensed a punishment coming when I shifted my head to the left –– not meeting his gaze.

"So it is then . . ."

A loud moan escaped my mouth when he kissed me hard.

"Who is it?" he hissed between nibbling my lips.

He kept on asking while he pleasured me beneath his weight. He licked my lips down to my neck while his hand was busy squeezing my breasts.

"Mmmnn . . . ," I groaned as my back arched. "N-no . . . one . . ."

"Tell me . . ."

"Nghh . . ."

I bit back a moan when he sucked my neck while his powerful bulged rocked my body beneath our clothes.

The door opened and came in my mother.

"I brought you refreshments––! Oh my . . ."

My mother’s eyes stretched to the maximum, but Cain still didn’t release me. Though he stopped dry humping me.

Thank the heavens for that!

"M-mom . . . t-this is . . ."

I blanked out. I was boiling from embarrassment mixed with awkwardness.

My mother recovered as she placed the tray of juice on a table and retreated out of the room.

"Please continue." She then winked at us and closed the door.

Seconds later, the door opened with my mother’s hand peeking inside –– locking the door before she shut it tight.

. . .

. . .

With one hand, Cain unbuttoned his shirt while his other hand was gripping mine above my head in a tight hold, not letting me resist him.

"Now . . . let’s continue where we left off."

*gulp

He got my full attention when I caught his unbuttoned shirt, teasingly exposing his collarbone and chest down to his erection. I wonder if the zipper of his pants would break because it seemed like his cock would burst out at any seconds now.

"Sis!"

Lawrence and Lance banged the door, demanding entry.

"Now. Now. You two, don’t disturb your sister. She’s resting," my mother said in a reprimanding voice.

My mother really is––

"Don’t lie, mother! Sis is with that demon! She’s in danger!"

Lawrence and Lance’s shouting and banging saved me from Cain’s further pleasuring tortures.

The cold man closed his eyes tight as he controlled himself. I was getting afraid for the twins now.

I wiggled my way out under him. Luckily, he let me go.

"Sis!" Lance embraced me tight when I opened the door.

"Hey! It’s good to see you two again."

I beamed and hugged him back and raffled their hair while my mother narrowed her eyes at me. Looking all disappointed while she clicked her tongue.

"Everyone, hurry, and come downstairs. Dinner will be prepared soon," my mother hollered before she went down the staircase, and out from our view with her lips pointing out as she mumbled her discontent.

Lance didn’t let me go. He was embracing me rather tight while throwing Cain a stay away glare.

"Sis. Is it just you?"

Lawrence’s question caught me off guard.

"Why? Did you expect a certain girl with pink hair to come?" I teased.

Which made Lawrence shifted his eyes to the ground. "N-no . . ."

Now I was feeling guilty again.

"Sis! Come on. I have a lot of things to tell you." Lance pushed me out of the bedroom, and before I could even turn around to get Cain –– Lance shut the door before Cain’s face.

"Lance!"

I flicked his forehead and opened the door.

"Apologize to Cain," I demanded.

I was furious. My nostrils flared as my face heat in anger. I love the twins, but I won’t tolerate any discourteous behavior towards Cain.

"Leanna . . . It’s okay . . ." Cain reached out to hug me from behind, but I stepped away and looked down at Lance with a stern face.

"Well?" I asked with hands on my hips.

Lance bit his lower lip. He shot a pointed glare at Cain’s way as his jaws clenched.

"Lance . . . ," I warned.

. . .

. . .

"I’m . . . sorry . . . ," Lance said. His last words were low and shaky before he bolted downstairs with a reddened face.

. . .

. . .

I let out a wry sigh and look all apologetic at Cain.

"I’m sorry about my brother’s rude behavior," I said, embarrassed with my brother’s actions.

Cain smiled and shook his head. He intertwined his fingers with mine, and we stared into each other’s eyes.

"Ahem . . ." Lawrence cleared his throat, breaking our moment. "I’m still here, you know."

And much to my disbelief, he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away –– after he broke our moment that is.

"Well, at least one of them warmed up to me," Cain said when it was only the two of us.

"I wouldn’t exactly call it a warm-up, but it will suffice for now. I guess." I laughed a bit.

My smile froze when he whispered in my ear.

"Don’t think this is over."
