Chapter 127: Weapons I

Jon had overseen the making up of the section of this camp’s blacksmith, however he hadn’t entered yet.

This time, the smith was three buildings combined with the interiors all cleared out. The first building was for storing materials used for blacksmithing, the second was for new blacksmiths or other blacksmiths and the third was for the camp’s head blacksmith, old mason.

Jon also made a section in his building where he could form his weapons, however he wanted to see the old man again, so he came to make it here.

-You said something about making a spear and something else.

’Oh, Yes. I don’t know why but the spear just fits me better. Do you know anything about it?’

-No, at least from what I know, the clan doesn’t have a main weapon.

’Hmm... Alright. For the other weapon, I want a weapon I can use when I activate ’Principle of inscription’.

-Oh, was that the name of that skill?

Jon nodded.

-So, you want to be able to cause more destruction. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

’Hey, don’t put it like that. I can’t use that skill for a long time because of the burden, but whatever damage I can deal in that mode, why not use it effectively.’

-Haa...I don’t know since when they started giving tigers wings.

’Why didn’t you use lion, I prefer that.’

-Not the point.

Amelia rubbed against her head as Jon laughed and entered the old man’s smith. And like he had done with the previous smith, it hadn’t even been that long and it already felt like years put into the smith.

’How does he do it?’

-Is that the man you said advanced through the unranked realm smoothly?

’Yes.’

-Hmm, it seems it is also an effect.

’Oh, you mean...’

-Yes, anywhere he goes and sets his hammer, it becomes his dwelling. He’s pretty decent.

’You know I’m also a blacksmith?’

-It was obvious from the start.

’Just a fun killer, eh?’ Jon sneered and approached the continuous sounds of a hammer hitting against metal.

Clang...Clang...Clang

Due to the influx of weapons by the shamans, the workload on the blacksmiths had been heavily reduced, giving them time to hone their abilities by creating better weapons, and that was exactly what Old Mason was currently doing.

So, without disturbing his concentration, he went to another area and sat in a cross-legged position. With a thought, he entered his ’Mind world’

Entering the ethereal space, he also closed his eyes.

He ignored the feeling of knowledge of the clones entering him, this time he wanted to focus on himself. While fighting the shamans, he saw most of them wearing armor, and that made him think, didn’t he also need one?

He wasn’t arrogant enough to think he didn’t need armor, if he had, he wouldn’t have almost died to his attack, and the outcome with that second realm ape wouldn’t have been that bad.

And that wasn’t all, he was going to remain in the first realm for a while, so why not increase his power with external help?

So, with a bit of concentration, a replica of an armor he saw on a shaman appeared before him.

Opening his eyes, he could see a plain brown leather armor. Though it was too plain, that was the reason for the ’Mind world’. It was for creating, adjusting, and changing.

’Okay, what do I have...’ With another thought, the scales and bones of monsters he had gathered also appeared around him and he began creating.

’Toothed claw is for dagger.’ Putting that aside, he looked at the ’Flaming beetles’’ His eyes narrowed as he saw it.

It sounded perfect for defense. Their bodies were tough enough to withstand his aura and the flames around it added hardness to it. However, it was too heavy. If one remembered, the movements of the beetle were slow due to its body mass, and that alone was enough to disqualify any armor.

If an armor didn’t give its user enough mobility, it was just a body shield instead.

Shaking his head, he then gazed at his newest collection, ’Grodin crocodile’, the special crocodile that walked around. And maybe because he defeated it easily, it didn’t have time to display its strength before it died. Here, he could tell, the crocodile was a defense type.

’Let’s try...’ Pulling off its scales, he formed a replica of the brown plain armor. Looking at it, it had a green look rather than brown, however it still looked plain.

’Then let’s add,’

With a smile, the huge blue snake he had killed on the first general level-up came up.

This snake once shot out its black scales at Jon and an overwhelming number at that. If he hadn’t decided to stop playing with it, he would have gotten injured in that fight.

Scanning the full body of the huge snake, he went towards the back of its neck and ripped off a dark area he hadn’t seen when he first fought it.

’So, this was responsible for all those black scales.’ After marveling at it, he decided to place it on the left arm of the armor, so while he fought with his right he could also attack with his left.

To give the armor more taste, he added parts of the snake on the body armor, giving the armor a greenish blue look with a black left arm.

’Nice...’ Maybe because it was his work, but he was very satisfied with it. But he didn’t display it, the next part was the hardest.

Drawing out the potential,

When he had previously come here, all the weapons he made always said he didn’t draw out their potential. Drawing out their potential meant bringing out at least part of the skills of the monster when it was alive.

And to do that, one needed something that could connect with the deepest parts of the monsters. It was something they were most familiar with, Cores.

Every monster, human, or special possessed a core. However, it was just heavily reliant on luck whether one would see them after killing them. And those cores were what connected their bodies, souls, skills, abilities, and nature.

So, with all that, one shouldn’t expect it to be easy.

As the blacksmith book explained, one needed to just feel the core inside the weapon, if there was a reaction, then it was successful, however, if there wasn’t, it was a failure. What made the method the best was, that one could keep trying and trying until they got it in their mind world without having to waste any actual cores in the real world.

So with a thought, an unranked core appeared before him. However, before he even put it, he looked at the plain brown armor and tried on it first.

He could already feel it; an unranked core wasn’t going to work for the green armor. The crocodile was a special and the snake was a first realm, it just wasn’t enough.

So, placing the unranked core on the brown armor, he concentrated his effort and closed his eyes.

Ummm...

’Hm?’ It didn’t even take about 10 seconds when he heard a sound of harmony coming from the core and the armor.

Flash...

Then a little light flashed in front of him.

After it died down, the plain armor could be seen. However it wasn’t so plain again, it now had a certain glow to it that looked closer to bronze than brown.

’It worked...’ With his excited expression, he immediately summoned a first realm core went over to his bluish-green armor, and placed it over it.

He closed his eyes,

Ten...Thirteen...Twenty

After about 20 seconds,

Hummm...

The sound of harmony was louder and likewise,

Flashhhh...

’Ahhh...’ He hadn’t expected it to work so well even on his second try and with a higher core at that.

After the light was dark, he could see a glowing blue around the green armor with a black left arm, the armor fitted itself like it was meant to be together in the first place.

Jon’s excitement was bubbling forth, ’I can’t imagine how it would look in real life.’

However, he had to keep it together.

This armor was just the first of his weapons.
