Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!-Chapter 194: Get Out with the Child
"Are you okay?" Chase Perry didn’t know what to say.
But he clearly knew, no matter how others gossiped about their relationship, the only person Annelise Winter loved was her cousin, Elias Warner.
Sometimes, he even wanted to talk to Elias Warner and clear up what happened back then.
But he still harbored selfish intentions.
Even though he was already married to June Winter, he still held a secret affection for Annelise.
It had never changed.
He didn’t know when he would be able to kick Annelise out of his heart, but for now, he just couldn’t.
Even with his wife present, he still wanted to show her some concern.
"I’m fine!"
Annelise replied with a hint of indifference and distance.
At that moment, June Winter felt a bit upset and pulled Chase Perry away from Annelise.
Chase Perry didn’t continue the conversation with Annelise.
Chloe Joyce snorted coldly and led Annelise to sit in the front row of seats at the venue.
Chloe never liked June Winter, so naturally, she didn’t give her a friendly look.
"I heard we have a new hire at our company!"
"How are you so well-informed? I heard about it too, they say it’s a very skilled captain!"
"Ah, speaking of skills, who can compare to Captain Perry? Surely, Captain Perry is quite excellent too."
"Apparently, he was a former comrade of Captain Warner!"
"I see!"
The crowd buzzed with chatter.
Amidst their discussions, Elias Warner, dressed in his captain’s uniform, stood on the stage, accompanied by a man in casual attire.
"Caden Lynch?"
Annelise was surprised, she didn’t expect Caden Lynch would join Warner Group.
She knew Caden Lynch was returning to the country, but she hadn’t expected to be in the same company with him.
However, she was genuinely happy for Caden Lynch.
Chloe Joyce, hearing Annelise call out Caden Lynch’s name, asked curiously, "Annelise, do you know this new captain? He’s supposedly a comrade of Captain Warner, he must be quite outstanding, right?"
"I’m also not sure, but he shouldn’t be too bad!"
Annelise, although not familiar with Caden Lynch, found him to be a decent person after a brief interaction.
"Our company has recruited a new captain named Caden Lynch, who has many years of flying experience. Additionally, I plan to have him join the domestic aircraft team as captain!"
Chase Perry frowned. This position had always been his dream.
He hadn’t applied for the position with Elias Warner because he felt no need to apply, thinking the position was naturally his.
And now, out of nowhere, came Caden Lynch, taking the position he longed for.
Chase Perry raised his hand.
Elias Warner noticed and said to Chase Perry, "Captain Perry, is there something you want to say?"
"I want to join the domestic aircraft team too. I’d like to request to join the domestic aircraft unit!"
"Sure, anyone can join the domestic aircraft team, but the prerequisite is passing the assessment!"
Elias Warner’s point was clear: he didn’t want others to use his words against him, especially since Chase Perry was his cousin.
Chase Perry nodded in agreement.
Elias Warner glanced at Annelise, "As we establish this new project, I’d like to take everyone on a seven-day tour to The Havani Isles. Besides letting everyone enjoy themselves, it’s crucial to shoot a promotional video to make our domestic aircraft team’s reputation known!"
"Great!"
"Sounds good, we agree!"
Upon hearing about the trip, everyone cheered.
"Our brand ambassador will need to work on the promotional video. It might be a bit demanding, but this promotional video is extremely important, so please be well-prepared!"
Elias Warner glanced at Annelise.
Annelise nodded.
Renee Perry was standing in the corner of the hall at that moment, having come to see how Elias Warner would stabilize the team.
During the half-month Elias Warner had been absent, the old shareholders of Warner Group kept causing trouble.
Some even considered replacing the president.
Now, it seemed Elias Warner was performing commendably.
Several layers of journalists surrounded him, all keen on the new direction of Warner Group after Elias Warner’s return.
Renee Perry hadn’t expected Elias Warner to have Annelise film the promotional video. As a result, the ambassador’s whereabouts were now a hot topic.
She originally planned to send Annelise away soon.
Now, she had to swallow her pride and couldn’t force Annelise to leave for the time being.
Renee Perry’s eyes flashed with coldness.
Even if the little bitch doesn’t leave, she has to teach her a lesson.
The meeting concluded successfully.
Uncle Zeller approached Annelise and whispered, "Miss Winter, please come with me!"
On the rooftop.
Renee Perry was already waiting on the rooftop for Annelise.
Uncle Zeller had brought her there.
Annelise wasn’t surprised that Renee Perry had called her over.
"Annelise, what are you doing? Didn’t I already tell you to take the child and leave early? Why are you starting to disobey again? Do you insist on clinging to Elias? Are you not concerned about the child’s well-being?"
Renee Perry scoffed.
"Auntie, I really want to leave, but Captain Warner said if I leave, I’d have to pay ten times the penalty fee. I don’t have that much money, so I can only stay."
Ten times the penalty fee?
Renee Perry frowned. It seemed her son wasn’t planning to let Annelise go.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have made such an unreasonable demand.
"I’ll help you resolve this issue, you come back to the old house tonight. I’ll ask Elias to come back too. I have something to say!"
"Got it!"
Renee Perry left, and Annelise returned to the office.
"Annelise, where have you been? President Warner wants you to go to the office to discuss the filming content of the promotional video, so you’d better go quickly!"
"Alright!"
Annelise kept her head down, still thinking it would be great if Renee could resolve the penalty issue tonight.
She was a bit expectant and also curious about what Renee had to announce.
CEO’s Office
Scott Carter was sitting in front of the coffee table discussing company matters with Elias Warner.
Annelise walked in.
She didn’t expect Elias Warner to truly fulfill his promise by making Scott Carter the general manager.
But when Elias Warner and Scott Carter sat together, Elias Warner still looked more like the top manager.
His expected kingly demeanor overshadowed Scott Carter.
"President Warner, how did you get discharged so quickly? Is your health better now? You should really stay in the hospital for thorough examinations. After all, health is the capital of the revolution!"
Scott Carter smiled and handed a cup of tea to Elias Warner.
"No worries. I don’t need to fly any missions recently. With the new project at the company, there are still many things I need to do, and I’m leaving the entire Kybourne South Air mess to you!"
"President Warner, you’re too kind. I still need to thank you for your support. If it weren’t for you, I might never have been able to sit in this position. Rest assured, I’ll handle everything with Kybourne South Air. You just focus on developing new projects!"
Scott Carter patted his own chest.
As Scott was exchanging pleasantries with Elias Warner, Annelise knocked on the door and entered.
He hurriedly said, "Annelise, you’re the company’s image ambassador, and you’ve already signed a contract with the company. This time, to shoot the promotional video in the Havani Isles, it might be a bit strenuous for you. Besides, President Warner will also be there, and you’ll need to coordinate with each other!"
"Okay!" Annelise nodded, not even glancing at Elias Warner.
Elias Warner didn’t say much to Annelise either.
"We’ll set off in three days. Let me know if you have any objections!" Scott Carter said.
"I have no objections!"
"Miss Winter has no objections; it’s just that I got a bit injured recently. When we film, Miss Winter will still need to take good care of things!"
Elias Warner smiled slightly.
Annelise frowned.
If he’s injured, then don’t film. Just replace him, right? What does he mean by needing her care?
Scott Carter quickly interjected, "Right, President Warner is injured. You should take care as needed, and it’s fitting since you’re an aviation doctor!"
Annelise looked displeased, but she still agreed.
As she left the office, she happened to run into Caden Lynch.
"Annelise, you’re here! Is Elias inside? How are the two of you doing? Did you see him? Did that guy speak nicely to you?"
As a man, Caden Lynch could tell that Elias Warner liked Annelise.
He just wasn’t good at expressing it.
"No, not really. Your entry into Kybourne South Air went smoothly, right? Stepping in as the captain right away is pretty impressive!"
Caden Lynch scratched his head.
"Thanks to Elias, without his support, I couldn’t have obtained this position!"
"You can’t put it that way. He isn’t someone who disregards public matters for personal affairs. You must be a capable person; otherwise, he wouldn’t make you the captain of the domestic aircraft team!"
Annelise knew Elias Warner well. When she said this, she wasn’t trying to flatter; she was serious.
If Caden Lynch didn’t have his own capabilities, Elias Warner wouldn’t possibly assign him the captain’s role.
It showed that he was very confident in Caden Lynch’s abilities.
"Um, thanks for the compliment. Don’t listen to what Elias Warner says; observe how he treats you. The two of you really need to have a good talk!"
Caden Lynch reassured her.
"Yeah, thank you!"
Annelise had long wanted to thank Caden Lynch.
Though she considered inviting Caden to a meal, since they were both unattached, it could easily lead to gossip.
"There are some things I’ve always wanted to say to you. I’ve said the same to Elias. I think you both need to have a heartfelt conversation. When I visited him in the hospital, he seemed desolate. Only when I mentioned you were outside did a spark return to his eyes. He still very much cares about you, so don’t hurt him any further!"
Caden’s words surprised Annelise.
She gave a wry smile.
Merely took it as Caden jesting.
She glanced at the file in Caden’s hands.
It turned out to be a recruitment flyer for pilots.
"What’s this?"
Annelise pointed at the flyers.
"Oh, I came to see the CEO and Elias to discuss recruiting new pilots.
