Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 354: The intentions of the guests.
Madam Feng drove her sister and niece to the old house in that same neighborhood where she used to live with Jingzhe. As soon as she got them inside, the look on her face changed from friendly and welcoming to cold and threatening.
Hardly had they sat down in the living room when she icily said to her sister, "Niannian, I advise you not to antagonize my daughter-in-law and her family or else the consequences will be unimaginable."
Feng Niannian was dismayed and she put on a wronged look. "Older sister, how can you say that to me? How did I antagonize them?"
"Little horse race!!" Madam Feng slapped the arm rest of the chair. "All you had to do was say congratulations and shut up. Nobody forced you to add more. You could not have shared the fact that you look down on her any louder. Count yourself lucky that I did not throw you out of our home immediately and disgrace you in public."
Feng Niannian huffed. "Older sister, I am your own sister. I am your blood sister. How can you throw me out for strangers? What is so good about a woman that was rejected by her husband, humiliated and divorced? I don’t know what you are thinking by letting your son marry her."
"Shut up." Madam Feng shouted at her sister. "Say one more bad thing about my daughter-in-law in that condescending voice and I will slap you right now,"
Pang Lucy jumped in quickly because she could see tempers flying. Before their goal was accomplished, she did not want any bad blood developing between her mother and aunt.
"Aunt, my mother did not mean to say it like that. She means that you raised a handsome, clever, responsible son." She said smoothly. "What she does not understand is why you must allow him to date Jun Meilin. Not only is she the ex-wife brother A Zhe’s half brother but she has a child. She is also older than him. Even if she comes from a great family and knows how to do business, their pairing is still questionable to many people."
"That is what I mean." Feng Niannian piped in eagerly. "Quiqui, your son has money and he is an imperial advisor. What kind of girl can’t he get? He can marry a princess, a daughter of a noble or Lucy here. She is the best match for him in the world."
Madam Feng’s jaw dropped. "What? You want my son to marry your daughter?" She looked up and laughed. "Oooh, so that is why you have come to me after so many years!! Have you lost your mind? They are related by blood! How can you think of something like that?"
Feng Niannian leaned forward, eyes narrowed in confusion. "Older sister, Lucy is my daughter but Jingzhe is your adopted son. How are they related by blood?"
Madam Feng did not care. "I have donated blood to my son three times in the past. My blood runs through his veins so that counts. I am his mother in every way that counts even if I did not give birth to him."
"You don’t share DNA." Feng Niannian pushed. "Quiqui, do not deceive yourself. What I am suggesting is not outrageous. It also ensures that our wealth stays in the family and does not leak to outsiders. "Are you going to wait for the Jun’s to swallow Huaqi and make it part of Juan tea or Phoenix group? What if Jingzhe decides to leave it for that Mingzhu. She is Mo Liang’s daughter biologically. A member of the Mo family. No matter how much you love her, she does not have our Feng blood."
Madam Feng laughed. Her sister’s logic was twisting and curving that it made no sense. "Jingzhe is a Mo biologically. With your logic, he does not have Feng blood."
"You..." Feng Niannian stood up huffing angrily....
Pang Lucy leaned closer to Madam Feng and said quickly, "Aunt, my mother is just thinking about you and brother A Zhe. She is just worried that your hard work will be stolen by others in future."
Madam Feng shoved Lucy away harshly. "My hard work." She said with emphasis. "My son and I built Huaqi together and we will leave it to whoever we want. I do not need your advise or opinions on that matter.
When he marries Mei Mei, Mingzhu will get some of my shares in the company and when they have another child, he or she will get Jingzhe’s shares. If they have another, I will distribute more of my shares. Eventually, the company will end up in the hands of the next generation.
The fact that my grandchildren will have Jun blood is something I am proud of. It means they will be loved, protected and have many powerful backers. They will never suffer the way Jingzhe did. If the company is in trouble someday, the Jun’s will step in and save it."
"Who needs them when Jingzhe is a royal advisor?" Feng Niannian shouted. "He has the backing of a royal family. He does not need to lower himself and become a step father at the age of twenty four."
"And why do you think Jingzhe is a royal advisor?" Madam Feng screamed at her sister. "I am a commoner. My whole life, I never so much as saw the shadow of any member of the royal family up close until my son started dating Jun Meilin.
If she breaks up with him, the Jun’s and those other nobles will cut friendly ties with us. The royal family will also follow very quickly. Are you stupid? Didn’t you think that through before standing and shouting royal advisor?"
Feng Niannian huffed. "Fine, I will give Jun Meilin some credit for that. But lets not act like it is her personal accomplishment. Her family background was set by her ancestors not her. You don’t....."
Madam Feng stood up with a calmer expression on her face, "You don’t have to say anything more. We are done with this conversation and I do not want to hear anything more about it.
I don’t know how long you plan to stay in the empire but I hope that you will not show up to our home again. I am certain that Lady Chi saw through your ambitions. If you mess around, she will retaliate. A driver is waiting outside and he will drive you back to your hotel."
Feng Niannian found herself in shock. "What do you mean hotel? Don’t you have a house right here? Why can’t we stay here?"
Madam Feng looked her sister in the eye and said, "Because when I called you sixteen years ago, begging for help after my A Zhe was nearly beaten to death in the Mo family and needed emergency surgery, you said that I should figure it out." She started walking out slowly and shouted, "Figure your life out."
