Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 286: Escape in the night.
Some members of the Mo family were already working on escaping the empire. Mo Shuo, Mo Anqi and their families were the first--nine in total. They chose to use the sea route over the sky. By 9 p.m. they were already standing at the docks of Wagubang Port. It was one of the largest and most advanced ports in the empire. It handled many containers and dealt with international cargo.
Mo Chenyu had smuggled a lot of antiques out of the empire using this route and he had partners that the Mo’s were meeting. The docks were dark, with little to no activity ongoing at the port. This was because it had been closed for the night to allow the employees join mourners outside the royal palace.
The ship which was smuggling the Mo’s out was already on the water, it was called The Deep Whale, a large ship that transported vehicles. It was one of the ships used for smuggling goods and people into or outside the country. Half of the crew were mercenaries and the other half were paid off to look the other way. The Mo’s had already paid the smuggling fee and they were ready to board.
A man in hat passed by them and muttered, "Start boarding, do not look nervous like confused sheep. The coast guard is active tonight."
Mo Shuo grabbed the hand of his youngest daughter Mo Qiye and the family moved. They pulled small suitcases, the rest of their luggage was in crates that had been moved onto the ship. More was waiting to be flown to them via plane.
They were escorted into the belly of the ship by a man whose skin was decorated by tattoos almost everywhere. They were not the only people being smuggled out, six other people were making a run from the empire using tat route.
One, Mo Shuo recognized. He was wanted for committing fraud on large scale, amounting to six billion. Everyone thought he had long escaped the empire. Mo Shuo looked away, pretending that he had noticed the other people. They were moved to their cabins, men and women separated. The cabins were small, with bunk beds and one bathroom that everyone shared which made Mo Shuo’s wife unhappy.
She thought that they would be traveling in luxury cabins and enjoying VIP treatment. She never imagined that they would have squeeze into a tiny cabin that smelled like dirty feet and bleach.
She said this much to her husband when they reunited in the common area where the crew met to share meals.
"What matters is freedom. Our journey is going to last only three days and then we can begin a new life." Mo Shuo assured her.
She relaxed and wiped tears from her cheeks. Her husband was right, what mattered was freedom. She was already picturing their lives in the kingdom of Malaysia. With all the money they had, they would be able to live good lives.
The ship stayed in place for sometime as containers were loaded. Nearing midnight, under the moonlight, it departed. The Mo’s breathed out in relief, glad that their journey had finally started. They managed to eat and moved to their cabins to get some sleep. Some even imagined that by the time they opened their eyes, they would be a new land. They could smell it already.

Jun Mingzhe was in the office, pretending that he was still working on the explosion of The Celestial Mo. What he was actually doing was playing a game on his phone. It was his uncle Zimo’s new game and Mingzhe was playing the character of the snake queen Meilin.
On his desk was a cup of Juan tea’s plain black berry flavor and five slices of every new flavor of Huaqi’s cheese cake. His socked feet were up on the table as well, toes wiggling as he enjoyed the relaxation.
There was knock on his door, "It’s Chen."
"Bandit, open the door." He commanded the AI assist that controlled his office.
The door swung open and Detective Chen Shanhe entered the office. "I won’t waste time since this is urgent. The....is that cheesecake?"
Mingzhe looked away from the phone and looked at the table. "Mmm, Huaqi’s new flavors, one regular cheesecake and one cotton candy." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Detective Chen licked his lips and gulped. He started laughing and moving closer to the table. "You are not going to be able to finish all this, right?"
Mingzhe pulled the plate away quickly and gave it to a robot butler that placed it in the fridge. Detective Chen’s face fell and his eyes lingered on the fridge. "Boss, your sister is married into the cheese cake family. I am sure you eat this whenever you wish. Why don’t you leave this to me?"
Mingzhe snorted. "My sister is not married and I have not tasted the new flavors." He looked up. "Actually, I have not eaten the original plain flavored cheesecake itself in a long while. I will give you cotton candy, I ate a little too much of it on my niece’s birthday."
Chen Shanhe bowed exaggeratedly and said very loudly. "Thank you boss."
"What news did you bring me?" Mingzhe asked him.
Chen Shanhe looked at his boss’s colorful socks and raised his eyebrows. "Which niece or sister gave you those ones?"
"Mingzhu picked them out for me when we were shopping." He bragged. "She also bought me shoes and a jacket on her allowance. The jacket has of those sailor moon anime’s on the back but none the less, I will wear it with pride."
Shanhe nodded. "Okay, I cannot wait to see you in one of those jackets. Meanwhile, the news I bring you is about the Mo’s. Mo Shuo and Mo Anqi boarded a ship named The Deep Whale and they are fleeing to Malaysia. What are your orders?"
Mingzhe leaned back in the chair with his arms crossed behind his head. "Is that a question Shanhe? I don’t even need to be informed about this by now, I just need to see results."
"Yes Sir." Shanhe answered and hurried out of the office to start a mission of apprehending the criminals in the shortest time possible.
If they knew what was good for them, they would not put up any resistance or the Mo family would burying more of their loved ones.
