Chapter 422: I Have All the Stamps You Want

"Also, there’s a package for Jiang Yexun from Building 3, Fuxiang Road," Jiang Yexun added as he stood beside Su Xiaoxiao.

"Alright, please wait a moment," the postal worker responded after checking their IDs to confirm the information.

Su Xiaoxiao felt Jiang Yexun’s strong body pressed against hers from behind, and her face turned bright red from the proximity.

Seeing her like this, Jiang Yexun assumed she was feeling suffocated from the crowd. He immediately grew concerned and said, "Why don’t you go wait outside? I’ll be right out after I get the packages."

Su Xiaoxiao heard his voice through a sort of muffled haze, a feeling like warmth spreading through her ears, and it made her cheeks flush even more. She didn’t even have a good reason to stay, so she quickly nodded and said, "Okay, I’ll wait for you outside."

Jiang Yexun raised his arm, gently pushing aside the people crowding around them to clear a path for her.

The people who were pushed aside immediately looked like they wanted to complain, but when they saw Jiang Yexun, who was a whole head taller than them and looked quite intimidating, they silently swallowed their words.

Su Xiaoxiao walked to the side, where the area for mailing letters was, and quietly looked around.

At that moment, the postal counter still displayed a variety of stamps. Besides the "Endless Mountains and Rivers" stamps, there were also stamps like "Country Teacher" and "Old Leaders’ Postal Stamps."

Su Xiaoxiao, however, wasn’t interested in these. She knew that in the future, certain stamps would become valuable, but mainly because they were rare, or there had been mistakes with the printing, or they had been recalled shortly after release.

When the postal worker finished handling the customers in line, she noticed Su Xiaoxiao still standing by the counter, looking but not doing anything. Assuming that Su Xiaoxiao didn’t know what kind of stamps she needed, she approached her with a smile.

"Excuse me, do you need to mail something or are you looking for a specific denomination of stamps?" the worker asked politely.

Su Xiaoxiao felt a bit embarrassed and gave her a smile. "I’m not mailing anything; I was just looking at the stamps to see if there’s anything nice to collect. But these don’t seem to be what I’m looking for."

Upon hearing this, the postal worker’s eyes lit up immediately.

"You collect stamps too?" she lowered her voice and asked eagerly.

Su Xiaoxiao quickly realized there was an opportunity here and nodded enthusiastically, "Yes, I heard that in 1964, they released the special 62 ’mask’ stamps, and also the ’Heaven’s Gate’ glowing stamps, but didn’t those get recalled only a few days after they were released? By the time I found out, they were already impossible to find in the market."

"Yes, exactly! Those two stamps were released, but you won’t find them for sale anywhere now. But, if you really want them, I have one of each in my personal collection," the worker said, her voice dropping lower, but her excitement barely contained. "I’m willing to sell them, but at a price..."

"I’m not concerned about the price! I just want some stamps that are more unique, something with real historical significance," Su Xiaoxiao replied generously, playing along with the worker’s excitement.

She wasn’t really afraid of being overcharged—she knew that even if the worker tried to take advantage, the price wouldn’t be too high. Plus, for future value, she was willing to pay a little more now.

"Could you wait for me outside? I’ll ask for a break and we can talk more about it," the worker asked in a low, hurried voice, though it was clear how eager she was.

Su Xiaoxiao nodded quickly, "Okay, I’ll wait for you outside."

"Great! I’ll be right out!" The worker responded and hurried off to take her break.

Su Xiaoxiao made her way outside, squeezing through the crowded space, and after just a moment, the postal worker quickly came running out to join her.
