Chapter 2514: Conditions

The following day was sunny.

Zu An and the Saintess traveled westward to Kunlun Mountain. It wasn't hard to find—it had a high mountain peak that rose into the clouds, making it visible from all parts of the world.

Zu An was astounded. How high must that mountain be to be visible even from this far away?

This world’s Kunlun Mountain was vastly different from the Kunlun Mountain he was familiar with in his previous world, both in terms of height and size. He even wondered if this world’s Kunlun Mountain was connected to heaven, linked to the Celestial Court. Or maybe the Celestial Court is on Kunlun Mountain?

Meanwhile, the Saintess secretly glanced at his side profile, and a red tinge occasionally appeared on her cheeks. This bastard has too much stamina!

She'd initially endured it, thinking of it as a necessary sacrifice. However, it had eventually reached a point where her head blanked out, and she succumbed to the relentless waves of attacks. Just how many loads did that fellow shoot in me last night?!

The Saintess had been both embarrassed and angry in the moment, but she had to suppress her emotions because Zu An seemed to have the ability to detect someone’s anger. And yet, when she thought back about it now, she somehow no longer felt anger. The process had been sweet... and for some reason, her cultivation had advanced a fair bit. It was as if his load was a rare tonic in the world. I guess it isn’t a loss for me. Maybe I can find him again later for more...

She quickly shook her head to rid herself of inappropriate thoughts.

“What’s wrong?” Zu An asked, noticing her actions.

“It’s nothing.” The Saintess’ face was burning.

Zu An looked at her side profile under the sunlight. Her hair and skin were coated in golden radiance, highlighting her fair complexion and beautiful features. He gently hugged her and said, “Little sister Ling’er, you’re beautiful.”

The Saintess sensed that she no longer stiffened up when embraced by him, as if she had grown accustomed to it. “Am I more beautiful now, or was I more beautiful before?”

Zu An’s smile froze. Why do women like to ask such deadly questions?

“As long as it's you, you're always beautiful.”

“Tsk. What an insincere answer.” The Saintess rolled her eyes, but she didn’t ask any further. Instead, she was appalled that she'd asked such a meaningless question.

The two of them chatted while flying and avoiding aerial beasts. All of a sudden, however, a beam of light came from the surface.

“Be careful!” Zu An grabbed the Saintess and dodged the attack.

But that wasn't the end of it. Several bursts of bizarre, mysterious energy flew at them right after. The two of them dodged the attacks while descending on a nearby mountain. It was only then that they realized that the aggressors were six old men dressed in bizarre clothes.

“Who are you? Why did you attack us without reason?” the Saintess asked with a cold gaze. She had already brought out her High Firmament Talisman, and lightning crackled around her.

The old men wore colorful clothes made out of different bird feathers and beast skins stitched together. Their faces were obscured by bizarre golden masks, and giant necklaces made up of assorted bones hung around their necks. They didn’t look like as if would be easy to talk to.

“You can control lightning? Are you related to that person?” The bizarrely-dressed old men were astonished.

“Calm down, everyone. We know each other.” Zu An was delighted. He recognized the old men as some of the Spirit Mountain’s Ten Shamans. He had met them the last time he came here, and they had even helped him.

“You know them?” The Saintess was taken aback.

Before Zu An could answer the question, a hot-tempered old man scoffed, “Who the hell are you? What do you mean we know each other?”

Zu An’s smile stiffened. He only now recalled that he had met them in the future, meaning they weren’t acquainted yet. He could only switch to another angle. “Are you the Spirit Mountain’s Ten Shamans? I've heard a lot about you.”

The old men exchanged looks, but their faces remained cold. “You’re mistaken. We aren’t the Spirit Mountain’s Ten Shamans.”

Zu An was startled. It was only after he took a closer look at the old men that he noticed some discrepancies. He smiled sheepishly and said, “Ah, I apologize for the misunderstanding, but you must be Wu Peng, and this must be Wu Di. I don’t think I've met the other four before.”

Astounded, one of the old men said, “We are indeed Wu Peng and Wu Di, but we don’t remember ever meeting you.”

Zu An was at a loss. He didn’t know how to explain to them that they were friends in the future, so he spent a moment in thought before replying, “I received a dream from an immortal about the Spirit Mountain’s Ten Shamans...” He shared some details about the Spirit Mountain he saw in the future with them.

Wu Peng and Wu Di were dumbstruck. “There’s no way to lie about those details. To think there could be such a mystical dream in the world!”

The shamans lowered their hostility toward the two, and the Saintess stored away her High Firmament Talisman too.

Zu An took this chance to ask, “Why did you suddenly attack us earlier?”

The six shamans looked a little awkward. Instead of answering the question, they asked, “Why did you come here?”

Zu An suddenly remembered that the Spirit Mountain’s Ten Shamans were skilled in medicine and had a broad knowledge of herbs. They might know where the Brilliant Pinflower is. “My little sister has a constitution that threatens her life, and we’re looking for a Brilliant Pinflower to save her. Do you by any chance know where I can find it?”

The six shamans exchanged glances as if communicating with one another. Some time later, Wu Peng said, “I know where the Brilliant Pinflower is.”

Zu An was overjoyed. “I’ll be grateful if you can tell me where it is.”

There was finally a lead after searching for so long!

Wu Peng grimly replied, “Don’t be too quick to thank us. The Brilliant Pinflower is a valuable, rare herb. We can’t give it to you for free. You’ll have to do us a favor first.”

Zu An wasn’t surprised. Even though he was friends with the Spirit Mountain’s Ten Shamans in the future, in this time, they had only just met. He had dispelled their doubt, but that didn’t mean they would be willing to share such a valuable herb with him. Thus, he asked, “May I know what you need my help with?”

Instead of answering the question, Wu Peng said, “You should think it through. You won’t be able to turn down our request once you hear it. We can’t risk our secret getting out.”

Zu An’s heart skipped a beat. He knew too little about this world to guess what they needed his help with. He didn’t dare to accept their request recklessly in case it was too convoluted or dangerous. It would be terrible if he got embroiled in a fight between major powers.

The Saintess gently spoke up. “Big brother Zu, it’s worth taking this risk to save little sister Xiaoxi.”

Zu An thought that made sense. If they failed to find the Brilliant Pinflower, Xiaoxi would be a goner. He let out a sigh as he pointed out, “It’s just that I’ll be putting you in danger too.”

The Saintess chuckled. “What are you saying, big brother Zu? We have been through so much together. I’ll be with you no matter what happens.”

Zu An was moved. He grabbed her hand before turning to Wu Peng. “All right, we agree.”

Wu Peng nodded. “I’ll need you to draw away some guards for us. There’ll be some danger, but with the skills you showedearlier, you should be fine as long as you’re careful.”

Zu An and the Saintess exchanged looks and saw the worry in each other’s eyes. “May I know which guards you are referring to?”

Wu Peng pointed to a nearby mountain. His expression looked tense. “They're from Shushu Mountain!”
